Ryan had waited too long he figured to call a team meeting, but with the way things had been going, he needed to. His team was completely reorganixed again, and he'd gone so far this time to reverve one of the Thinktank Discussion rooms for this team meeting.

Omar he already knew, having fought along side him in battle already.

Noah, according to his file, was a skilled , if a bit green, Marine. much as Hawke himself had once been.

Doctor Yesult Sierra was another matter entirely. transferred and effectively widowned by the first act and later exposure to the artifact, She was a trained medical doctor, and would serve as SG2-3's resident Brain. It would suit her well, but he knew thoughts of her family wer likely still bothering her and would continue.

He had no illusions that he found her attractive, but he'd made a point of never even trying to get involved with subordinates, he didn't plan on changing now. Thus he resigned himself to the role of sympathetic Commander and friend.

He waited for each othe others too arrive, so they could get this show on the road.

"Good Morning Sir," Omar was in a good mood. He stopped in front of the Major and clasped his hands behind his back. He glanced around the room and then turned his gaze back on the much smaller team leader.

"I guess I'm the first one." Omar smiled. "We going to meet the others on our team?"

Noah stepped into the room, his back straight and his uniform in pristine condition, as always. He snapped to attention and saluted the two gentlemen in true military fashion, every movement graceful and precise.

"Lt. Noah Weston reporting for duty Sir," He said in a strong confident voice, aimed at Major Hawke.

Yseult finished reading the medical reports of her new teammates, chewing her lower lip pensively. They were certainly a hardy bunch, and the physiological changes in Captain Khudikias and Lt. Weston were extensive, which meant that whatever medical problems they suffered would be particularly difficult to counter. It was a challenge she was willing to take, though she would have prefered to remain in her lab, rather than being sent out into the field.

Yseult made her way to the SG-23 team meeting in the discussion room. Her honey-hued hair was pinned up stylishly, and her BDUs were snug and flattering, if not so pristine as Lt. Weston's. She still disliked the BDUs immensely, but the completely inappropriate undergarments she wore beneath them made her feel better.

She entered the room, calm and reserved, but upon seeing the three men already there, inhaled deeply. Mon Dieu! Un géant, one who could be my husband's cousin, and a boy barely a man who is far to pretty. This will take some time to... adjust to.

She nodded briefly in greeting to each man as she addressed them. "Majeur Hawke. Capitaine Khudikias. Lieutenant Weston. I am Doctor Yseult.. Sierra. Please, feel free to just call me Yseult. Do you insist on titles or my I call you by your given names? Janet, Dr. Frasier, and Bill, Dr. Lee, never minded." Her voice was cool and professional, her French accent crisp.

She looked at each man directly, her turquoise eyes intent, though she managed to avoid Ryan's eye while still facing him. "Is there anything else you would like to know about me?"

"Good morning Lt. Weston. Doctor Sierra." He nodded in acknowledgement to each of them. Once again, Dr. Sierra's beauty drew his gaze to her eyes. After a moment of wistful daydreaming, Omar pulled his gaze away and moved to a back table where he took a seat. He was so large, that sitting in the front row, blocked the view of those behind.

Ryan nodded as each came in in rapid succession. He returned the Salutes and smiled to all of them. "No, we will dispense with titles here. At ease gentlemen. This is an informal meeting. Primarily this meeting is to get each of us aquainted with the teammates we'll have to trust our lives to on our missions."

"I'm sure we've all read each other's files that SGC has compiled, but that doesn't really tell us about the person. What I'd like to do is to get to know everyone better, then we go to the gym for some integration training. Right now,, only Omar and I have fought together, and even then it was only once. I'd like to guage for myself your abilities."

He smiles. "Don't worry, it's just a matter of seeing how much training we're going to need to do."

Noah relaxed into the military "at ease" position and waited for permission to speak. Not being one for social gatherings he already felt uneasy. The apparent lack of military formality served only to further his discomfort. Noah relied almost entirely on the formality of military etiquette to see him through his daily interactions with his co-workers but had noticed an alarming trend towards informality in the SGC. He didn't like the blurring of personal and professional lives. Not at all.

Yseult's cool smile turned slightly embarrassed at the mention physical training. "Ryan, you may have a lot of work with me. I'm a doctor and scientist, never a soldier. While in isolation, I was given the very basics of basic training, and my hand-eye coordination and cardiovascular has been improved to peak human levels by the Artifact, but still...

"I'm not sure I will be comfortable out side the lab. I have been offworld only once before, for an.. an unusual circumstance, and I much prefer research than to field work. Also the full capabilities of my telekinetic abilities haven't been tested yet."

Yseult had a point. As one of the eggheads, she was probably not much for physical training. Yet, as much as he wanted to deny it, she probably needed more combat training. If the team found themselves in a tight spot, the others might not be there to rescue her. In fact, she could even be a liability.

"I think what the Major is trying to say, maam. And I understand your hesitancy." Omar hoped that he was not speaking out of turn, but since it was an informal meeting... "But we will be in combat situations and he wants to know what abilities each of us brings to the team. You will have to get used to the idea of field work."

Omar looks to her and then to the others. "With Major Hawke's permission, I will volunteer to assist anyone in physical or combat training."

Ryan nodded. He looked to Noah. "Permission to speak freely as well Lieutenant."

He looked back to Yesult. "You wouldn't be the first I've trained with SGC. Hopefully the higher-ups decide to let you stay with the team after the msiion, the last one they took and put in R&D. As to your powers not being tested, that's part of what the integrated training will be. We will see just how far we can all be pushed, what our limits truly are."

He nods to Omar. "What you say is true. We will be in combat situations. My priority is protecting all of you in our mission, it's my job to make sure we all make it home. To do that I have to know exactly what each of you can do, both under normal levels of activity, and under high stress."

"As to who will do what, we will all go through training. This is a team, we all hang together."

To Yesult. "I'm counting on your expertise as to put it bluntly you are the most intelligent and academically trained of this team's members. That said, I do want you to have at least basic sikill with the weapons we use and in personal defense tactics."

He kept his voice even and calm. he was used to having his method questioned, at least since coming to SGC.

Yseult looked down, took a deep breath, then firmed her attractive jaw. She looked back at her Team Leader, the oversized turquoise irises of her eyes burning with determination.

"I am willing to learn and to try, Ryan. If this is to be my life, than I wish to do it as well as I am able."

"Sir!" Noah said in the clear and sharp military style. "Due to an unfortunate incident during my training exercise at the Alpha site I have been in the infirmary for the past week or so. I am unfamiliar with your file or the files of my teammates and request that a brief introduction be given for each person, describing their Specialist abilities and likely role on the team. Sir!”

Ryan looks to Noah. "Fair enough. I'll start. My Name is Ryan Nathaniel Hawke. I was formerly a Major in the Unites States Marine Corps, now I'm a Major and Team leader for SG2-3. As Far as what abilities I've manifested, I have asignificanlty beyond human levles of strength, physical reflexes and resistance to injury. When wounded, i can heal my own wounds with a little effort. I am one of the few specialists who can also Fly."

He smiles. "As for my role on the team, It's my job as commander to make sure you all make it back, and we acheive our mission objectives. Tactical authority and responsibility is mine to bear."

Telling others about him is always a tricky situation. He needed to tell them about him and where he's from without diverting the conversation.

Omar rises and introduces himself.

"My name is Omar...Omar Khudikias. I am a Kurd who was born is Mosul, Iraq. I am also a naturalized American Citizen. And..contrary to what some of you may have heard, I am human.." Omar pauses for a reaction.

"While I am from earth, I am not from this 'earth'." He looks around at the new faces before continuing. "After spending more than a century traveling through time and living on alternate earths, I decided to settle down. Due to my agreement with the powers that be, I had to give up most of my abilities to come here."

"I recently recieved my Captain's comission, due to my paramilitary and combat expertise. As a former Olympic wrestler, I prefer Hand to Hand combat, and my body is designed for it. The skin on my body is tough and resistant, and, as I recently learned, is somewhat impervious to a Jaffa's staff weapon. Though not completely. They hurt and they still leave a mark."

"I run very fast...I can cover a kilometer in 4 seconds, can use all my limbs with equal dexterity, and can heal minor wounds to my body. Also, I was not given my powers by an Ancient device, but erupted naturally."

Yseult listened attentively as the men described their capabilities, though she raised a brow at Omar's claims. She didn't have the instintively negative response she had speaking with him at the bar last night, but she still found it difficult to accept his claims. It was going to take time for her to fully trust him.

She stood and faced the men. "My name is Dr. Yseult Sierra, now. I am a trained medical doctor with a specialty in pharmacology. I also hold degrees in microbiology and molecular science. I am more than decent with computer programming as well. I have worked on a contractual basis with the SGC for close to six years now."

Yseult took a deep breath and continued. "The Ascension Device endowed me with telekinetic abilities. I have a very fine control TK that is usuable to just over thirty meters and can lift roughly two to four hundred kilos. With considerably more effort and less control, I can fly at a 40 kph, repel some physical attacks, and create blasts of telekinetic force more powerful than 30mm cannon. I also have a brute version of my general telekinesis where I can lift considerably more weight. I haven't had the chance to test it's upper limits yets, but it is well over ten metric tonnes. Finally, I can surround myself with a... a force field," Yseult's mouth twists in disatisfaction with the term. "It has been proven stronger than the best body armour we have access to."

"I have no other superhuman attributes, though my reflexes and cardiovascular system have been improved to peak human levels. My training in combat has been very limited, but I do know how to hold a gun."

Noah nodded to himself almost imperceptibly as the others spoke. He seemed either confused or lost in concentration as Omar talked about his situation but refrained from commenting. If Omar was being completely candid then Noah just might have to revise his initial opinion of him. He certainly jumped up in the young man’s mind regarding what kind of asset he’d be.

Yseult wasn’t much of a surprise. She was an egghead and he didn’t really understand the microwhatevers. She was a doctor though and specialized in drugs. That would be handy on off world missions too. Telekinesis would be very handy in the field, but it sounded like she needed a lot more training before she’d be an asset in combat situations rather than a liability.

So far the only one he really had anything in common with was the Major. Yseult concluded her self-assessment and the three turned their attention to Noah. He paused for a beat before launching into his own introduction. “My name is Lieutenant Noah Weston, and I have been in the US Marine Corps. for two years. I spent roughly a year in Iraq before being transferred back to the States. My area of expertise is Infantry. I am a superb shot, and my hand to had combat skills are not far behind that.”

He takes a quick breath and continues on. “The Ancient rock thing mostly gave me physical stuff. I’ve got super strength and if I put my mind to it I can break through just about anything. It also improved my agility and hand eye coordination and my natural athletic ability. I’m super tough got super good looking too as you can see. I also got something the Docs call Telempathics, which means I can basically sense and control other peoples’ emotions. To tell the truth though I’m not very good at it.”

“Then there are the mutations,” He paused for a moment searching inward for something. “It started with the ability to climb walls, like a spider, and I can make my skin camouflaged like a chameleon. During my recent training exercise at the Alpha site I also discovered I have a tentacle tongue. The doc had a name for it; prehenso or something like that. It’s pretty gross and unnerving. I think that cover the major points Sir.”

"Well ay what you want, We're a varied team to say the least." Each of us havs something we add, now we have to find a way to combine everything we can do best in order to complete our missions."

"What I had in mind were a series of excercises, reading each others movements, running a few drills, stuff that will get us able to act to gether as a single unit. After that, we've got practice at the shooting range, followed by hand to hand training."

"After that, we grab some chow, and then we go back training."

Yseult turned to the overly attractive, young Noah. "Monsieur Weston, you will have to inform me immediately of any new physical changes you notice. We will have to determine if they are symptoms of an alien disease or signs of your... continual evolution."

"And I agree with you Monsieur Weston, Ryan's idea is a good one." Yseult returned her attention back to her team leader, a small, determined smile creasing her lips. "Shall we go to the gym, and see how much work I have ahead of me?"

"Ahead of all us. We all have to learn how to work together with each other. Teamwork is essential with teams this small."

With that he led them to the Gym where he ran the entire team through drills. This continued until supper, Ryan's pacing testing even those with increased stamina at times. They broke for supper then he recalled them for more training at night.

This would continue until the next mission. They began with Breakfast at 7am, did physical training till lunch, did educational, technical and teamwork drills until supper. The exception was the weekly trips to Alpha site where they were allowed to just play with their abilities, or choose not to go and do as they wanted, and the Meetings with the other teams meant to inform them about new developments and their foes. After Supper each night They did more physical training or went to the shooting range, though not always with the full team. Everyone went to the range, but some nights Ryan worked with Yesult one one one to help her get a better grasp of hand to hand combat.
