Description:

Brynja is an orphan. Her Parents died under mysterious circumstances when she was only 3 and so she has spent the last five years in an orphanage. In spite of her sweet and caring personality, she was passed over many times for adoption by couples wanting a younger child on whom they could imprint, or whom were insulted by some matter-of-fact remark she might make regarding thw prospective familie's appearance or personality...

Bryn doesn't mind though. Although she has some memories of her parents, they are very vague, and as most children go she is incredibly reslient, moreso than many adults give credit for. The staff at the orphanage however are incredibly kind souls and she has made several friends and few enemies from her adorable nature. Sometimes she waxes introspective, and wonders about her parents, but will be quickly distracted by the people and events happening around her.

She is curious, outgoing and expressive, sometimes to her detriment. She has been known to get into trouble by nosing around where other people would prefer that she wouldn't and often says with naieve honest those truths about situations that adults have grown comfortable and complacent in ignoring. She can in many ways, be honest to a fault, but deep down her inquisitive engagement with her surroundings and other people are motivated by a pure and caring spirit.

DESCRIPTION: A fairly average looking young man, in his mid to late twenties, above average height, elegant but angular build, with the typical perfect Nova physique, the occaisonal arua of shadowy power surrounding him, and eyes that are pools of pitch black shadow. His hair is also pitch black and very well kempt. His clothes are simple, austere, and always as clean as possible. He likes patterns in the world around him, but prefers solid, somber colors and conservative traditional style in his fashion.

Publicly, Time-Shard (will choose) chose to give himself a Nova name because he, and the other HSN are all pieces of a brighter future, and key players in the present - literally each Nova is a small shard of the modern age. He (will write) wrote a series of articles expressing the hope that Novas can bring to this world, a chance for a golden age of discovery and humanitarian achievement. He intends to consult a style consultant for making a nova ‘uniform’ to inspire hope, praise, and respect.

BREIF BACKGROUND: Publicly Stavros will be a grad student, age 28, studying math and the humanities (triple masters degrees, working on doctorates but that takes time he is still putting in). His parents are rich, but he isn't your typical rich kid. In fact, he lives a very spartan lifestyle with very few possessions and none of the funny money one might expect - he's not rich, his family is.

He is, however, involved in clubs and student organizations, though on a senior level - helping with national and international web-sites on social issues (typical left wing student, amnesty international stuff). He isn't a leader, but he does help with art work and writing, and though he isn't known as an artist (he's interested in his studies, not making a niche in the art world) his talent is obvious.

His younger brother is also a student, but not a brilliant one - and seems to be on the outs with mother and father. What little extra money there is goes to take care of his bro.
