Battlestar Valkyrie: Operation Bifrost - General Background Setting

Recommended Posts

Operation Bifrost

The Battlestar Group 41 has been sent on a special operation to patrol along the armistice line to Cylon territory. It has been over 40 years since the war and the price for freedom is eternal vigilance. Yet the government of the 12 Colonies have started to issue a renewal and reduction of the colonial military fleet. Many of the initially constructed Battlestars have been put out of commission or have been ‘converted’ to museums. The new Mercury class Battlestars need less crew to operate and are more effective since the implementation of the networking of all military systems using Dr. Balthar's groundbreaking CNP.

The mission takes the PCs to the farthest stretch of colonial occupied space with their latest known stop on Tauron to restock supplies and tylium. Their mission – scan the perimeter for any unusual sign of Cylon activity and place strategically valuable marker buoys to build an early preventive warning network. Any hostile activity has to be avoided at all cost. No one knows the impeding attack the Cylons have planned over the last 40 years…
