Joani Posted February 25, 2009 Share Posted February 25, 2009 Anna squealed out of fear and from the sudden lift off. There was real panic in her eyes and tears ran down her cheeks. Anna clinged dearly on Doug almost hurting him as her hands locked tightly around his body. Anna couldn't stop crying and didn't realise that they were already leaving the atmosphere. Doug came slowly to a halt and tried to turn her around. It seemed as if Anna was doing fine except for her trembling and fear.*I don't need to breath!*, she realised smiling briefly. Next thing you know you've lost control to the other person completely. I don't know for sure but it seems likely. Doug tried very hard to distract her but she simply couldn't let go of her fears. This was home to her. Not any of the buildings or any particular place called a city or a village. Earth was her home. Anna trembled and even though she wasn't wearing much aside from the ragged baggy top and pants she didn't freeze - it was not the temperature that make her shake involuntarily. How James caused Calypso's death, Gregory could not be sure. It had to do with that Og-ment thing they were talking about. KB would harbor a hatred of James no matter what he did or said and he frankly couldn't stop her if she did try to kill him. To top that off he really couldn't blame her. James deserved whatever fate he brought on himself. Instead of asking and explaining, he had made a choice to torture and kill. The fact that he was trying to save the Earth was irrelevant. She prepared herself for the worst but remained silent not wanting to cause any provocative action. For the first time she considered actually helping James should KB attack. She stood there for a moment as Doug explained to Ashley what had happened, and then without another word she turned and walked out of the room. As she passed Doug and he tried to contact her mentally she just looked at and replied, "Stop it." The room was silent as the door banged shut behind her. I'm not saying I doubt you but, I dunno, this seems like a dangerous plan. What if they react poorly?" As reply Raider merely smiles and the two vanish leaving the others behind.*****Raider and Adam reappear in a dark, dusty, and cold corridor. The air is stale and their breath spills from their mouths in clouds. "Lovely place, is this where you want me to pop the door?" Raider nods and Adam shrugs, "I think I won't be complaining about the weather for a while." True to his word though Adam closes his eyes and concentrates. In response a tiny ball of fire appears in the air before them and expands into a flaming portal showing Newboroughs snow drenched streets. Anna, Ash, Gregory, Courier, and James quickly pass through the warp. James looks around an comments, "Lovely place, really I must vacation here sometime."
