It exists in a small fold in space somewhere just outside the Multistance (The entire known existences). In it reside the League of Merchants who run all aspects of Trade and commerce. They reside alongside the Lords of StarHaven who run everything from race and world creation to the non-existence of the aforementioned. None of the League of Merchants (LoM) or the Lords are Evil nor or the Good, just out to ensure that nowhere will you find a Monopoly of power in all the Multistance. Yet in so doing, they themselves become a monopoly of Power. Many have resisted this to no avail and generally speaking StarHaven rules justly and all benefit from their rule. As a matter of fact, most never know of the grand place of StarHaven. They just go about their mundane lives paying homage to whatever god they worship and never get drug into the working of StarHaven.<!--fontc--></span><!--/fontc--><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

The same for Ultra tech societies. Very few individuals ever get to see StarHaven as it really is.<!--fontc--></span><!--/fontc--><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

You may also find yourself summoned here for a Raeke but that is another story.<!--fontc--></span><!--/fontc--><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

Here we have an Arena like the days of Rome. The seating around is tessaractual (can hold infinite numbers) and no kind of disturbance can get from the audience to the arena floor. This is where the Raekes take place for all to witness and judge on. If you find yourself here you are usually in some form of trouble.

StarHaven brings it all back, with the added touch of ultra technology. All activities are done in an arena in the center of StarHaven for all to cheer on but many of the battles and castigations are enhanced and / or protected via the Matrix. This is a complex reality manipulating device that operates a neural web network throughout all of StarHaven but is centered on the entertainment of the arena. Only once has the Matrix been "overloaded" in the effect that someone died while on the Matrix. Even then there are ultra modern healing facilities and infirmaries to facilitate the untimely demise of StarHavens valued visitors. May you have a stiff and kindly Raeke.<!--fontc--></span><!--/fontc--><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

So if I am to understand this, we can Raeke for ANYTHING? Say Iwanted to be the god of basket weaving and have power over all the craftsmen and possess the ability to make impenetrable baskets in which to store my cobras, the 'Matrix' would make a contest for me to beat adn if I did I would get my wish?

Sounds almost too good to be true. I say almost because of the dastardly contest that I will probably die in.

I think we ought to Raeke for a meeting with Ba'laan.

What you say is true Glean. But I may be some assistance in meeting with Ba'laan. I can request an audience with Ba'laan at a whim and he must honor it. Kara knows this and can make arrangements for the group to meet with Ba'laan.

And where is our StarHaven IC thread?

How does one penetrate this illusion, and should you?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
No one reportedly has tried to pierce it or seemingly been able to. Perhaps a wielder of the Truth Incarnate can see through it. The question lies in how do you tell if you are seeing through it or not? Some speculate that only if you witness things you have never seen before then you are seeing it for what it truly is. This since StarHaven draws upon past experiences of the viewer.

The percentage is basically a damage buffer. At 20% Active, the Matrix is shunting only 20% of the damage you might receive. When ever the Matrix is Active, it also forces you into unconsciousness when you reach about 95% of your health or stamina. And yes, if it is off you can die. Some have died when the buffers were on but only three times in history has this happened and all were very extreme conditions.

Is the way star hacen appears like a holographic or illusory "overlay"? What happens if two people from different worlds/eras go together? Can they still interact meanigfully with each other and their environments?

It is Ilusory but it is also real. One person might view it as you are sitting at a large Oaken table to eat dinner while you might see ultra-light durametal. There is still a "table" there, just its appearance it altered.
Frankly, it has been like this since man first stepped into it. No one has ever decided to look into it; it helps with culture shock. Some that visit here cannot even begin to fathom that its a space station and instead view it as a vast underground palace or a cloud palace, etc..

The answer to the first question is yes. The difficulty however lies in perception. Joe might be told that Luke will give him a light saber but not having ever known what it was, will not see anything more that what StarHaven lets him see. He will still see perhaps a continental rapier or a spear instead of a Light saber. His beleif then will amke it reality, to him.

The tech tree here will go as high as StarHaven itself goes. This to say also that StarHaven represents the pinnacle of tech for most if not all of the Member Houses. Most are still trying to figure things out.
