Aberrant RPG - Dice servers

I had a question about online play (mostly pbp) do you guys use online dice servers, such as Irony? Or do you take the average of all the rolls? Or is it just upto the ST?

For example Eddie sneaks upto Ricardo Montoya-Bernal, while he's alone enjoying his dinner.

Ricardo hasn't the remotest chance in hell of spotting Eddie (who gets nine auto success when sneaking in his invisible form and Ricardo only gets five normal perception dice to spot him)

When Eddie gets close enough he disrupts Ricardo's psychic shield and luck (extra power) (Eddie disrupts with thirteen dice and Ricardo resists with four and five dice respectivley... giving Eddie eight whole dice over Eddie's most powerful resist)

After Eddie makes Ricardo defenceless against his attack Ricardo looks around quick but obviously will never see Eddie, and Eddie attempts to snatch his body (parasitic domination for fourteen dice with the auto successes vs. eight willpower... even if Ricardo spends a willpower point Eddie still has six more dice than him and two free successes)

Does it just follow the most logical conclusion (Eddie become uber-strong and is hunted to the ends of the earth by Pax and co.). Or would I have to roll for it?

I know it's a newb question but I wanted to make sure how it worked.

Well, Roaring 20s I know doesn't - the ST handles dice rolls for us there (If we specifically want to make a dice roll in a situation where we as players cannot perform the task, we ask him to roll it for us). It's just to speed up the play a little, AFAICT.

As for your example... Here we work in an almost diceless environment. Very few people here let the dice determine what's happening, either in fiction or on the Opnet Board Proper. In Fiction, since it's all dramatic anyway, and we're writing to a plot, we can just decide whether the power works or not, as dependent on the story. So, we wouldn't bother rolling at all in your situation, we'd just let it succeed or fail depending on the story.

In a Tabletop game, I'd still make Eddie roll, but it would probably be a simple formality roll, just to let the player roll. If I was pressed for time, I might not bother, however.

I know how a lot of pbp games work online as I have been doing it for awhile, so I don't have a problem with threads such as those in "Aberrant Fiction".

It was more of a question relating to the "Aberrant: Zero" type of play, where it seems to be closer to table top than what me and my buds call free form rp.

Thanks for your help Kirby laugh
