[Fiction] Sisters

[Iron Rose]

Rianna awaited her sister's arrival patiently. With Thoughtwave's departure with Wakinyan, she had been left In Montana with nothing else to do. A quick phone call had gotten LIz to agree to come up there and they'd work on some of their "combined" abilities.

"So different, yet in so many ways we're alike." She picked up a rock and crushed it to powder in her hand. She heard the sound of rotors in the distance and threw the tarps over the computers she had and stood by the tent.

We have the money Why not use it eh, sister?

[Augment]

Don't worry, this is all going in the books as part of your project, I'm just 'checking' up on it.

Liz had been busy with board meetings for quite a while at this point, and any escape from the office was quite the welcome one, even if it was just to flaunt some quantum energy.

[Iron Rose]

You wanted to see the skeleton didn't you? It's a piece of work that's for sure. Thoughwave has been with Wakinyan for four days, I'll give her till the end of the week before I worry. Until then, I think we should get to have some fun. The company has been something of a pain as of late. Getting to unwind is a good thing.

Rianna spied the helicopter and waved a hand in the air. As if you didn't know where I was.

[Augment]

Old habits die hard you know. We'll probably wave to get each other's attention for years to come.

Liz shifted the helicopters flight path a bit so it would land far enough away from the digsite not to bother anything.

I've never been the big dinosaur fan like you, I was always into cars, and motorcycles, and going fast and all that, but this does interest me. Last I was in school I'm pretty sure a metla dinosaur skeleton was not the typical.

[Iron Rose]

Rianna waits for the helicopter to land to make her way over to it. The Rotors kick up a large dust cloud as the slow to a halt. Once things have settled down She opens the cargo door and takes hold of a pair of the equipment containers. She hoists them into the air and begins heading back to the campsite. Nice to see you sister, can you grab the other twocontainers or do I need to come back? Oh, nice flying by the way.

[Augment]

Just hold up a sec She steps out of the helicopter and grabs her duffle bag. Augment channels a bit of power into her sister boosting her strength and allowing her to take the other two containers as well.

"Sometimes I wonder why I was given the abilities to mainly effect others, and not myself, it can be a bit of a hassle at times. Though I am learning to shift the effects towards myself. Though what really puzzles me, is the way our latest powers have developed. I can't touch them without you in the vicinity."

She looks around at the equipment comtainers for a second. "What is all of this for anyway?"

[Iron Rose]

Rianna feels the containers become even lighter, and answers her sister. "Part of being twins with regards to the shared powers. As for the equipment, well we have us a nice little training ground here, I figure we'd need some means to train and quantify our abilities." She continues on to the site.

"Good chance to see just how tough I am, and how far your powers can enhance the abilities of others. We haven't really had the chance to do any of that except for briefly on the dive."

[Augment]

"Work has been keeping us a bit too busy hasn't it." She states this, more than asks it. "Between mom and dad's deaths, and our eruptions, and the numerous hostile takeover attempts by the old board of directors we haven't had much time to do anything.

"Point me in the direction of the training ground and I'll take the first case over there and start to set some of this stuff up." She looks around a bit more, at all the helpers that are watching the two sisters. "I take it we'll have some spectators as well? I forgot to tell you I landed the account for that new apartment complex."

[Iron Rose]

"Well that's fine, and getting that account is great. Helping those people will be good for business. Now, let's go get this all set up." Rianna moves off and begins setting up the test equipment in the containers, the same as LIz does with her containers.

[Augment]

Liz really isn't all too sure what most of this equipment is for. She's more of a laborer than a thinker anyway. At least that's what she was before she became the CEO of a very succesful security system developer. Her role in life had managed to change very quickly.

"It looks like I'm about done here, whenever you are ready."

[Iron Rose]

The launcher was set, as were several other systems. "Now to make it interesting." She makes a series of motions with her hands and pillars of earth rise from ground at different heights, in addition to several large blocks and boulders.

"Ok, now what do we want to test first?"

[Augment]

Liz gives the course a good eyeballing trying to determine an answer to her sister's question.

"You're the curious one, anything in mind particular, I guess we could blow some stuff up, or test our physical attributes, I don't know what else we could test at a course like this."

[Iron Rose]

"Well Liz, we don't seem to have an overwhelming mixture of abilities. There are options, but let's go ahead and start with physical strength. Rianna places two sensors on her shoulders underneath her eufiber. "The sensors are routed into the computer, The program is set up to analyze what our abilities are and quantify them."

Rianna hands a set of sensors to Liz. "Place them where you want, but they need to stay on you for the entire test. Now we'll start with basic strength."

Rianna moves over to a large boulder and with a little effort lifts it from the ground. "Liz what's the weight on this thing?"

[Augment]

Liz emulates the sensor placement of her sister and put's them on her shoulders. She also changes her Eufiber into workout suit, though this one covers her midrift and her legs in entirity. Function over form for this.

"The reading I am getting is 6 tons. With my help you should be able to get higher than that, but that's about where I am going to be able to mzx out."

Liz forces some more energy into her sister and a bit into herself. "You should be at full tilt, but I'm not as strong as you are at base." Liz picks up another 6 ton boulder and tosses it to her sister who should be able to easily catch it one handed at this point.

[Iron Rose]

Quick reflexes allow Rianna to shift the boulder to her right hand and catch the other one in her left. "You're right they're no different than a baseball at this level. Now on to something bigger." With that Rianna sets the to Boulders down and takes hold of a rather Large one. It takes some effort but the boulder moves, and is then lifted off the ground by Rianna to the awe of the spectators. "Reading?" She's straining to keep the boulder up, despite her increased strength.

[Augment]

"To think, I use to be the strong one, neither of us were too shabby though. That one is at 120 tonnes, from the effort you just expelled though, that's probably as high as we'll be able to get you. Howabout we try a test of agility for you. I tried it with Jager, but he was Jager, he was probably ultra-dexterous to start with. You might want to put that down, I don't know if you'll keep both at the same time.

[Iron Rose]

"That's alot of rock." With a resounding crash Rianna sets the boulder down. "Yeah, That sounds good." Rianna shakes out her arms and stretches, as the pillars and obstacles of rock adjust in height.

[Augment]

Liz stretches a bit, each time becoming a bit more limber, the final time she pushes some juice into it, almost becoming double jointed. To quantify this measurement was always difficult. She just knew she was faster and more flexible.

"Your turn now." Liz's hand glows a bit before she sets it Rianna's shoulder." Just try to keep up.

Liz takes off running, performing a forward hand spring, a tumble, and a vault onto the first rock obstacle. She lands on her hands tumbling back onto her feet, where she surveys the course. Let's see a bit of your finer manipulation, how about a few ramps, some uneven bars, and something similar that will give a bit better measurement.

[Iron Rose]

More power flows from Rianna as she complies with her sister's requests creating a menagerie of uneven bars arnd ramps spring forth from the rock formations. small ledges barely a centimeter across apear on the side of one of the larger structures. "Try climbing on that."

[Augment]

"Now the uneven bars I can handle, but I think your little ledges are beyond me unless I form shift." Liz takes off at a steady run launchign herself off of one of the ramps and lands on an uneven bars performing one of her old routines, just better, with much more finesse.

So, it's your turn to test out your next dexterity. I know I've improved, what about you?

[Iron Rose]

Phenomonal improvements, let's see how far it goes.

Rianna bounds across the ramps and pillars, though her pace is slower and more cautious. She makes it most of the way through but near the end She slips and falls however on the last and tallest pillar and falls 15 meters to the ground. "Dammit!!" The yell escaped her in a moment of anger. "I almost had that. I got a bit ahead of myself I think."

[Augment]

"It just takes a little bit to get use to, muscles, they just lift more, but when you manipulate them this way, it is harder to adjust."

Liz comes down off her uneven bars, and climbs down the side of her rock until she is planted firmly on the ground, standing next to her sister.

"This is all well and good, but we've done this several times, what about our joint powers. Those are what have me wondering."

[Iron Rose]

"Me to, so which of those are we going to try first?" I 'm going to need a break sooner or later though, crafting the field took alot of power."

[Augment]

"Do we even really know what we can do. These aren't the same as the others, I just 'know' I can do the others, with these I kind of just feel like it, but something is missing, I don't even know what I'm capable of with these."

[Iron Rose]

"Well lets try the Energy attack then. I can't generate anything like it on my own, but together we've done it." Rianna concentrates as does Liz and a ball of swirling red energy appears between the two of them. "Focus it, feel it build and then release at the target." As she speaks, her arms move back, mirrored by her sister's, and then forward. This sends the red orb into one of the boulders , shattering it into shards and chunks of rock.

[Augment]

Liz mimmicks her sister's motions perfectly, as if it's instinct when they are close. The beam lashes out on the rock, cutting it into pieces, and slinging them in several directions. It's uncanny the way our movements line up perfectly.

"What about the Energy Creature? That's the one that really puzzles me the most."

[Iron Rose]

"Ok, I'll let you try leading on that one though. Your innate abilities have more in common with it than mine do."

[Augment]

Energy ripples around her fingertips, and moves down into the ground. She drops her hands to her side, and raises them back above her head. Rianna is moving in an identical manner. When their arms reach above their head, a giant energy being appears from the ground. It looks humanoid, but it's pinkish in color, and energy flows freely across it. It stands before the two of them waiting for a command.

"I think I'll name it Larry." Liz claims.

"Larry...wasn't that your last boyfriend? Why would you want to name it after him?"

That's easy, he's big, he's ugly, and he's wrapped around my fingertips already.

[Iron Rose]

Rianna chuckles at the response and commands the being they've summoned. "Go take up that boulder and move it from there to there." Larry picks up a twenty ton boulder with ease and moves it around to where Rianna had commanded.

"Well, at least this one's not a wimp like the original Liz."
