Aberrant RPG - Fiction help request

OK guys I'm suffering from major writers block & I need help!

I had started on the next segment of my fiction and had a few things tentatively planned out. I had been planning on having Shadowstar join the Utopia diplomacy corps and be assigned to Addis Ababa ... but after reading through the Utopia book I now see that the Diplomacy folks have a Switzerland HQ and several field offices. I'm not keen on having Shadowstar restricted to the West African diplomacy group.

I've been unable to think of alternative ideas for getting her assigned to Addis Ababa. If I can't come up with anything else I'm going to put her on T2M Central or have her be put on the Teraforming project but I would really rather not. She doesn't have any sort of science background and precious little formal education so where could I stick her?

The one thing I've seen that seems to offer me a glimmer of hope is the "Recreation and Health" department listed in the flowchart for each Utopia theater HQ building ... however I couldn't find anything on them in the book.

So I'm open for suggestions for alternatives and if anyone can point me to info on the Rec & Health folks I would be grateful. While you are at it feel free to make other suggestions & requests too.

Well I would assume the Rec and health, would cover much of what the name implies. Providing Recreational Activities to society of the Utopian Nova's. Check out http://www.armymwr.com

It is the Military Recreation Dept. I would assume that this is mainly a baseline Organization, except for entertainers. Possibly standard security, maybe Public relations.....

IMHO, there would be outposts of "diplomacy" wherever PU has a significant presence. Addis Ababa is almost as international as the UN HQ in New York (or is that Mexico in 2008?).

T2M, the Teraforming project, the international aspect of Addis, any/all of these just beg for the presence of a "diplomacy" person/section. Pax maybe the dude in charge, but with the -2 social I doubt that he deals with foreign heads of state very often.

Regardless of where the HQ is, there would have to be a diplomatic presence in Ababa.

Either how you interpert the R&H, it would present the oppurtunity to be exposed to several other nova's both well known and not well known, as well as baseline members...... If the story is leading to gaining info, then it would be a bit of cloak and dagger, or hob Nobbing with the well to do... all can lead to an interesting story and out come....

Well, I expect that Considering nova's needs and wants, Utopia may very well allow Shadowstar to live in Addis Ababa, and work in Switzerland. She could even try (for at least a while) Telecommuting using Telepresence Drones. Also, if she wants to do diplomacy, but stay in Addis Ababa, I'd expect that Utopia HQ would have some sort of "Home Office" in AA, that would sort of act as Liason to the Swtizerland office (although, that sort of thing doesn't really have much action potential, if you get my drift).

Further, Note that the N! Prime universe isn't identical to the Canon universe. In general, I like to consider that Anything not currently defined is perfectly open to fair game. Have they specifically said there isn't a large Diplomacy corp office in AA?

Finally, AA is fairly close to a few hotspots anyway. The Israel situation would certainly be something a Diplomat would love to try and tackle (and then, once tackled, try their darndest to get the hell out...), and the Equatorial Wars may be over, but it's unlikely that the region isn't as peaceful as it could possibly be.

Just some thoughts...
