Name: Ianmar Thul
Type: Resistance Recruiter & Facilitator
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Height: 5'9
Weight: 160 lb.

Physical Description: Ianmar is reasonably handsome, with solid black hair and a beard that has been only somewhat trimmed thanks to the distractions of being often on the run. He carries himself with a determined air.

Personality: Ianmar is a combination of defiance and a carefully maintained streak of hope. He has accepted decades of loss, but Palpatine and the Sith Empire cannot bring good to the galaxy, only evil. The battles of Yavin IV and Endor have shown it has never been invincible. It is only over if you fall to despair. And horrible as the Empire’s rage is now, perhaps it will finally convince the galaxy at large the Empire must go…

History: Ianmar Thul’s history is synonymous with the Rebellion and the Resistance. Its roots go back to Alderaan, still whole and alive. His paternal grandparents were the heads of House Thul, the longstanding noble family, his maternal grandparents of the noveau riche.

Kannar Thul and Janeth Geers may have been concerned about the Empire’s policies, but they remained committed to pushing through reform and influence through the Senate. Their illusions were cruelly shattered on their honeymoon, as the Empire unveiled the Death Star and destroyed Alderaan as a statement of intent. House Thul was completely annihilated along with the Geers, save for Janeth’s older brother Cayle, one of Princess Leia’s senatorial staff. Cayle, was of course, arrested by ISB and died in custody, under torture.

The bereaved and enraged newlyweds flocked as many did, to the Rebel Alliance, donating the remaining family fortunes to help fund the Rebellion and dedicating themselves to the Empire’s downfall.

During the lull in years after the battle of Endor as the Rebellion retreated to lick its wounds and rebuild as the Empire turned to fight new enemies, Kannar and Janeth were able to turn their thoughts to having children. They had two sons, Evnen and Ianmar, who were raised knowing what the Empire had done to their homeworld, their families and to the galaxy.

The Thuls became notable leaders in the formation of the Resistance against the Empire. While Evnen, a born pilot, led an X-Wing squadron in strikes against Imperial targets, Ianmar reached out to marginalized species, groups and individuals, recruiting them for the Resistance.

Years of struggle, many losses but each victory providing some hope... then Leia Organa and the Jedi came out with the Resistance for one throw of the dice at Exgol – and were destroyed. Kannar, Janeth and Evnen Thul all killed. Ianmar, alone is one of the few noteworthy Resistance figures alive now, relying on an ever-thinning network of friends and allies to keep moving. Things seem bleaker than ever, but Ianmar will never give up.

Quote: "The Empire murdered my family, my people and destroyed my ancestral home. I have nothing left to lose." "The Imperial touch only brings corruption, degradation and destruction."

Character Name: Dar’Krin T’Vaan aka ‘Shiv’.
Type: Jensaarai Apprentice
Species: Nagai
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Height: 6’1"
Weight: 158lbs
Physical Description: Tall, lean to the point of skinny by human standards, possessed of pale skin and black hair, coupled with silvery-grey eyes.

Personality: At a crossroads in his life. The savage honor code of the Nagai, which endorses joy in combat, fearlessness to the point of fighting to the death, and killing without hesitation should the need arise, has been his primary influence for most of his young existence. Now it is contrasting with the teachings of the Jensaarai which, whilst not as pacifistic as those of the Jedi, still hold the practitioner to a standard of defense, rather than simple aggression.

Orphaned in one of Nagai’s vicious inter-clan wars, an adolescent Dar’Krin was found wounded on the battlefield by a Jensaarai observer who, upon feeling the Force present within the young warrior, brought him back from the Firefist galaxy to learn the ways of the Defenders. Great care was taken with the young Nagai, as whilst he readily took to learning the fighting arts and discipline of the Jensaarai, he proved to be tempestuous and quick to draw a blade if he felt slighted. Emphasis was placed on self-awareness and self-control, along with teaching the Jensaarai philosophy of being guardians of life and the Force during the few years he was apprenticed. He was just beginning to make progress when the Empire came, led by a turncoat from the order, and wiped out the enclave and all within it barring Dar’Krin, who managed to escape and, taking the name ‘Shiv’, sought refuge on ship heading to another world.

Quote: "I may be between worlds, but if I should look over either shoulder I see proud traditions who reject fear. Let us dance, you and I."

Sense: Life Detection, Life Sense, Danger Sense, Magnify Senses, Receptive Telepathy
Control & Sense: Lightsaber Combat

Advantages / Disadvantages:
Wanted by the Empire +2D. As if being the last survivor of his Jensaarai enclave wasn’t bad enough, the Empire is actively hunting down Shiv for ‘seditious activities’. It’s not publicly known that he’s a Force wielder or a Jensaarai, but there is a Dead or Alive warrant out on him, and Nagai are rare enough for him to stand out.

Equipment: Hooded cloak, Electromesh armor: (+1D+2 Energy, +1D Physical, -1 to all Dex-related rolls); 2 x Tehk’La blades (Mod; Str+1D+1 Physical); Vibro-rapier (Mod: Str+3D Physical); Blaster Pistol (4D), Lightsaber (5D); 1250 credits.

Force Sensitive: Yes

Special Abilities:
Charismatic: Thanks to a trait that allowed them to enhance their vocal range, the Nagai were known as a very charismatic species capable of modulating their voice and tailoring their speech. Some described the sound of their voices a soothing, mesmerizing or even hypnotic. Provided their voice can be used (and heard), the Nagai gains a +1D bonus on any social skill test whether it's negotiating docking fees and ship registration (Bureaucracy) or just seducing someone they met at a cantina (Persuasion). As long as dialogue is a factor, the bonus applies. Language is still a barrier for this ability to be used effectively.

Name: Tisa Jedun Tisa_Large2.png
Type: Former Imperial Officer
Species: Zeltron
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 150 lbs

Physical Description: Tisa is, like most Zeltrons, rather attractive and fit with blue hair and striking pink skin (which shifts to red when she is angry). Though most Zeltrons favor revealing or minimal clothing, Tisa has taken on more subdued attire as of late due to her mood and desire for less attention, usually consisting of a skintight, neck to toe, black body glove (she is still Zeltron after all) with a medium length gray poncho over it.

Personality: Tisa had an air of exuberance and confident authority about her as an idealistic imperial officer. That once bright, inner light has been dimmed, at least for the moment, replaced with a sullen aura around her as she struggles with the realities the Empire and what she did in the name of it. She has not smiled, at least not sincerely, for some time now, and avoids rather than welcomes attention, despite her inner nature as a Zeltron.

History: Born to an affluent, noble family, Tisa grew up wanting for very little. From an early age she was exposed to Imperial propaganda about being a force for peace and order and bought into it with all her heart as passionate Zeltrons are wont to do. When she came of age she elected to attended the Imperial Academy, with her family ensuring she would be an officer.

In the field though, she was exposed to the truth of the Empire, its callousness and brutality. She began to make excuses to justify what she saw and the orders that came down the chain of command. At first she used her own discretion on how to carry out certain orders in a way she felt was more fitting to the Empire she believed in, but her superiors quashed that pretty quick.

Eventually she could not longer justify the brutality of the Empire and the ever-growing list of, at best, questionable orders she had been given and carried out. It was just too much of a and exercise in mental gymnastics and a stretch of ethics to keep trying to justify it anymore. Accepting the truth about the evil of the Empire meant accepting what she had done in the name of that evil, and so her life all came down like a house of cards.

The final straw came during an op where she ignored orders so as to save civilians, only for another officer to acknowledge the orders without hesitation. No longer able to stand it, Tisa drew her weapon, wounding the other officer and several troopers that came to his defense. In the firefight she was badly wounded herself, and were it not for the interventions of some of the surviving locals she would have died from either her injuries or been executed by the Empire. Having seen her turn on her superiors, they hid her and tended to her wounds.

Tisa knew she could not stay with them for long though, as her very presence would mean the execution of those shielded her were she to be discovered. So once she had recovered enough, Tisa thanked her saviors and fled to the relative safety of Hutt space, ending up on Nar Shadda. Once there, she relaxed somewhat, and with her eyes now free of the idealism she once had, was confronted with the guilt of the horrible things she had done in the name of the Empire.
