Machina
Life's a Bitch starts what I hope will be a long-term story for Machina that I'm writing in the style of old pulp and noir novels, a la Mickey Spillane. The idea is to do something like a mega-intelligence, quantum-age detective story with low (or at least, sublimated) power levels and lots of intrigue and webs of deceit. While I have a basic storyline in mind, what I'm looking for is other players who might like to throw characters in for a cameo or participating role to help add to the mix. Anybody participating would need a character who was active during early 2015 (thought not necessarily on the forums) and might show up in any of the traditional detective story hotspots (New York, Chicago, Marrakesh, Monaco, London, Tokyo, Morocco, etc.). I can write the whole thing on my own, of course, but I wanted to give some others the opportunity to jump in, too. Like I said, the style I'm going for is the old noir detective flavor, so anybody who'd like to throw in would ideally adhere to that as best they could, too.If you're interested, post here or PM me and we'll work something out. Mithril
If you can get the story to a diplomatic reception or ball-type affair in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, then pre-eruption Meghan Cutter (and her now deceased father, Aaron) could make a cameo. It'd be fun to show what she was like as a baseline: a bored 16-year-old diplomat's daughter in a far-away hellhole country.
