Wakinyan
As an experiment I dropped an image of Monument Valley Utah into the story "The first hard lesson" I thought maybe it would help the minds eye realize the backdrop of the story and add to the description of the events. What do all of you think? Does it add or subtract to the story? Does it help you see the story better? I realize this technique could be way overused but sparing use might help a story along. Opinions are welcome.
Singularity
I feel it's an effective tool if used in moderation. Excellent choice in this case.
Hugin
Not better for me, but only because it's a fairly easy visual to get. I've seen plenty of pictures already so you're descriptions alone were able to call up a pretty vivid mental image. If it was something more foreign to me it would have helped. Wakinyan
Good point. I was mainly showing people who may not know what Monument Valley looks like.

Hugin
Which is why I said "not better for me". I didn't say it was a lousy idea, but that it did not enhance my personal enjoyment of the piece.
