Guest
Dear Abbie, I can hardly believe I'm writing you, but I didn't know whom else to turn to. I've been seeing this guy for about three months now, and about two weeks ago he erupted as a nova. At first I thought this was a good thing, I mean, he's become so much more thoughtful, interesting, romantic, and his stamina... Umm... well, nevermind that. The problem is that I think all these things are his nova powers. He's definitely changed, and I don't know if I like him because of his powers or because of him... And to make matters worse, the girls from his work seem to be paying a lot more attention to him... - Quantumly Smitten
Abbie
Dear Quantumly Smitten,Have you ever heard the old chestnut "Never look a gift horse in the mouth?" Most women spend years on relationships trying to get their partner to be more thoughtful, more interesting, and more romantic?.let alone the stamina part. While I don't know what was behind his eruption, your actual wants and desires may have actually (partially) shaped your boyfriends Nova powers, as he has become even more of the type of man you want. You mention the girls at work. How much attention is your steady paying to them? If he is politely ignoring them to be with you, I don't think you have much to worry about. If he is playing the field, you are probably right in believing your feelings are being influenced by his Nova powers and need to take some time away from him to examine your true feelings. While people are always not what they seem, and that goes double for Novas, be sure that this is not just your own feelings of doubt getting ready to torpedo your relationship.
