After talking with Max, Lilly will carry Kia in her arms (cradle her and let Kia clasp her hands behind Lilly's neck) and she will hyper-run to the lake.

They will have to slip away in the fog either mundanely, or it might mean Lilly picking up Kia and q-leaping out or something. Either way, they want to slip out and not draw attention or make a show for any cameras.

Regardless, Lilly will do her best avoid cameras and being spotted while slipping away and running to the lake, so she might mix in a q-leap or two in order to avoid them or being spotted by car. She can do q-leaps in double digit km pretty easily so she would be making shorter leaps to avoid leaping blind (if she needs to leap at all).

Hypermovement 1 is 500 kph (310 mph). After doing some researching, it seems that a normal human does not need breathing gear at those speeds in open air, so Kia should be fine.

 

Lilly hoped that Coach Sissiano would reach them before the proposed fog rolled in, as though she wanted to slip away, and knew it would be happening, she preferred if Chet and Courtney were stuck here

The fog rolling in unexpectedly caught people off guard, causing some to look around, confused by it.

"What the..?" Lilly said aloud as she looked around at the fog as in enveloped the field and bleachers.

"Oh! My pads!" Lilly said, suddenly remembering she took them off and set them aside before checking on her classmates, "I can't lose them." she said as she turned and jogged off into the fog toward the stands, using it as an excuse to vanish as she sought out Kia and Abel.

< Well Sara has Sean and Alec is teleporting or whatever. I know you can fly, Kia, but it is like twenty miles and I can run it in 4-5 minutes or so. Either of you need a lift? > Lilly thought over Guildchat.

< Uh.. Sure? > Kia responded.

Once they were a small distance away and/or felt out safely out of sight,

< One lift, coming up. Just hold on tight. > Lilly joked.

< Wait. What? > Kia thought, slightly confused.

Lilly scooped up her best friend in her arms, carrying her akin to a bride across the threshold. The weight was insignificant to her now as she sent a surge of power through her legs and set off for the lake at an unbelievable running speed, mixing in tremendous leaps as needed to avoid cameras, and the view of motorists and other possible witnesses.

Sean has Intrusion 5, Mega-Perception 2, and a Eidetic Memory, so she should be able to lead the Irregulars about any stationed cameras. Then she'll hit her girlfriend in the gut or face, at her request, and will be taking AirSara to Aloe Lake Island. Along the way, Sean will activate Multitasking (for the scene, if allowed, for 3 qp)

 

"You want me to what?" Sean asked, arching a doubtful brow at Sara. If she wasn't completely surprised or disbelieving of the request, it was probably only because Sean was skilled now at controlling her expressions.

"Hit me, had as you can," Sara reiterated confidently.

"I don't think this is a good idea," Sean countered. "I might not be quite as strong as Lilly, but I'm still stronger than human, and I know how to throw a punch."

"Trust me," Sara exhorted, placing a hand on top of Sean's. "I know what I'm doing."

"Okay..." Sean finally agreed, not without uncertainty.

Despite Sara's request, Sean's first punch was tentative, an open-handed strike to disperse the force at the point of contact.

"You hit like a girl, Sean," Sara almost jeered. "And here I thought you were a superwoman, now."

Sean's perfect brows crinkled, for just an instant in puzzlement. She struck Sara again, a more substantial blow this time. "Hmm."

Even if Sara was as tank-like as Lilly now, Sara still should have rocked back or skidded a bit on the ground from the force of her punch. Instead, her fist had just... stopped when it had contacted Sara's sternum, the kinetic force simply dissipated. Or absorbed. Sara looked taut, almost quivering.

"Interesting," Sean murmured, her full lips curving. Sean took a ready stance and gave Sara a full-strength punch, though one meant to transfer the full impact instead of cripple, maim, or kill. This time, Sean actually felt a rebound or a resurgence of the kinetic energy flow back through her arm and through her body, but Sara still hadn't budged an inch. "What does it feel like?"

Abel  will take advantage of the confusion with the fog, and slip away before taking to the sky himself, albeit somewhat slower than the others.   along the way he'll activate multitasking and his forcefield.   (7,4,8,7,9,9,1,+0 +17 B/L soak)

Well this all went South in a hurry, he'd muse to himself, as he took flight, and moved with all the speed he could muster, his barrier shield humming into existence even as he flew towards the lake, hoping they'd make it in time to help.

There are 8 soldiers on the ground at the southwest corner of the island some 35 meters from the center of the island on the beach all of them have at least one level of bashing damage from the crash, Alec is with these soldiers

there is one helicopter (it goes on the soldiers turn) in the air currently on the northern part of the island but over the water roughly 75-80 meters from the center of the island

Location of the scout is unknown but can be assumed to be on the north part of the island as that is where the helicopter was last firing

The rest of the Irregulars are spread along the southern portion of the island Sara is in the air roughly in the center of the group they are 20 meters from the center of the island.

The Centaurs are in the center of the island two of them are in the exact center standing roughly 6 meters apart side by side facing west toward the soldiers on the beach, the other is about 10 meters in front of them facing toward the helicopter.

the ground is marshy and there are lots of standing pools of water. there are some raised areas which are solid and dry there is knee high marsh grass and some small scrub brush but no trees there is no cover on the east side of the island is a small wooden dock which fishermen use to tie up their boats when they come and fish.

there are no civilians here at this time.

We will do combat same as before with each player going in order of initiative. post your basic actions and rolls here and then once we determine out come you can post in the main thread.

Actions

Lilly will activate Multitasking for the scene as a free action, Boost, close to the Centaur in front using her free 1/2 running movement, activate Claws, and Punch the hell out of it. So 3 actions means -1, -2, -2 respectively (after Multitasking).

5 Quantim + 1 Boost = 6D10 -1d10 (multiple action penalty) = 5d10E7 => 2 ((6, 6, 7, 7, 1 → successes against 7)) = 2

2 successes means Lilly gets a +2 to all 3 physical Attributes. Base Attributes raise first and anything after 5 becomes/adds to Mega-Attributes.

4 Str + 2 M-Str  →  5 Str + 3 M-Str  →   (She can now deadlift 50,000 kg (50 tons) and has [20] automatic successes to Strength/ Might rolls and close combat damage dice pools.)
5 Dex + 2 M-Dex  →  5 Str + 4 M-Dex
4 Str + 3 M-Stm  →  5 Str + 4 M-Stm  →   (+1B Soak from 5th dot of Stm, +2B Soak from 4th dot of M-Stm+Resiliency (which raises her Bashing Soak to 22 for the moment), and she gains 2 more Bruised Health Levels for the moment)

The added dots fade at the rate of 1 per 6 rounds (her Quantum + power rating).

 

Free Action - Move half Running distance to close to melee on the nearest Centaur.

Fluff

As they drew near the island Lilly felt the wave of energy wash over her, like the heat from an explosion. The small recharge was very welcomed and eased some of Lilly's fears. Only once had she pushed herself so much and expended so much of internal energy reserves, the night she and Alec healed the soldiers. She had felt relatively safe on the base though, but now she was going with her friends to face an uncertain foe, and had worried she might not be able to do her share. Thankfully, this unexpected wave of energy was a small comfort to her and brought a smile to the young woman's lips.

Sara, with the rest of the Irregulars in tow (sans Alec) came in low over the water and released the others, letting the momentum carry them.

Lilly, still in her practice gear (except helmet and shoulder pads) tucked and rolled with the impact and then came up into a 3-point stance, making a shallow trench behind her through the mash as she slid to a stop. She looked up at the strange aliens, the creatures.. the things trying to invade her home... and she was having none of it.

< I'm gonna punch this thing back to it's home. It might get messy. I don't see that Displacer Beast. We need to find it.> she thought over Guildchat with grim determination.

Lilly's eyes narrowed, the streaks of eye-black under them from practice looking like war paint as she focused on her Node. A surge of energy rush from it, coursing down her body in a wave which was only visible because as is ran down her arms, torso and legs each muscle flexed and as the wave passed. She could feel the power surging through her muscles, tissues and nerves, somehow making her even stronger, faster and tougher. 

Like a shot, she launched herself at the Centaur, the marshy terrain of seemingly no concern to her powerful, yet nimble legs and feet. As she was about to reach the creature she reared back her arm, clenching her hand into a fist as she send another surge of energy right down her arm to it, focusing her strike with deadly precision. 

With a forceful, almost angry, grunt she threw her punch with everything she had, testing the power of her focused fist against the hide of the beast. The strike was audible and sent out a small shockwave radiating out, pushing dirt, small rocks and loose vegetation away in a small, expanding circle. Beneath the hide of the beast Lilly could feel bones breaking as the force of her blow radiated from the point of impact, shattering bones and likely rupturing internal organs, causing the massive creature, easily 4 meters tall, to fall to it's knees before her, wracked with obvious pain.

< I gave this thing everything I had in that punch. It's not dead, but I bet it's regretting stepping through that portal. I can only punch like this a few more times, so I will try to soften up the other two centaurs for your guys to finish off and hopefully I can keep them aggro'ed on me. We still need to find the Displacer Beast too.> she sent out across the Guildchat.

Kia shapeshifts

Shapeshifting (first 5 are mega): 14d10t7 6

That's 9 successes, due to the mega-sux counting as two.

3 dots of Sizemorph grow add a total of 6 dots of Str, 3 stamina (which are already maxed out), and 3 Bruised health levels. Her new form is about 40' long/tall, and would weigh...a lot. A LOT. Screw you, book. Mass does not double when size doubles. *middle finger*

The strength brings her to 5/5.

4 dots of Armor adds 12b/12l soak to her normal totals. This brings her soak to 22 bashing, 17 lethal.

1 dot in Claws for +1 to unarmed damage pool dice, and of course lethal unarmed attacks. 1 dot in Bodymorph: Tendril, for an alien queen style spiked tail that can ssssstab things for lethal Str+2 damage.

That's all she can do this round, since shapeshift is an action and she didn't split the pool.

Final form probably looks kind of like a cross between a really big t-rex and a scorpion. Sweet dreams!

Ok Lilly as gotten those going to the scene at bunnies by carrying the Deviants Limo with everyone inside.

Everyone who wishes may change into their PAM suit...

those going may also activate any powers for defense or what have you in preparation for the coming scene.

Those at bunnies can go ahead and make you initiative rolls

So we are just posting prep stuff, not actual actions/attacks, as I understand it. In which case...

 

-Lilly has on her PAM suit

She put it on back in the school parking lot much to Chet's delight.

 

-Lilly Boosts

Q + Boost = 6D10E7 => ( (1, 7, 6, 9, 1, 2 → 2 successes against 7) ) = 2 sux

So that raises her to:

Strength 5 (4+1) +  Mega-Strength 4 (3+1)

Dexterity 6 + Mega-Dexterity 5 (3+2)

Stamina 5 (4+1) + Mega-Stamina 4 (3+1)

 

-Lilly is empowers her bow to M-Str 4 after she Boosts

 

-Lilly uses Clone after she empowers her bow

That makes 6 clones of Lilly, all with the same gear as her and all in Guild Chat too. 

They can be Vanguard1, Vanguard2, Vanguard3, Vanguard4, Vanguard5, Vanguard6 (or Lilly1, Lilly2, Lilly3. Lilly4, Lilly5, Lilly6) with the Original being Vanguard Prime (or Lilly Prime).

If anybody has a better suggestion on how to clarify, I am all ears.

I believe that's 7 successes; 2 for the mega-8, 3 for the mega-10, one for the 8 and one for the last 7.

A liiiiiittle disappointing, but not terrible. 2 successes into Sizemorph: Grow, giving Kia Str 5/5 and Stamina 8/5 and making her 20' tall. 5 more successes into Armor, giving her 27 bashing, 21 lethal soak, plus whatever her PAM offers. This costs 3pool.

Then Quantum Imprint to nab Clone:

Quantum Imprint, 1st 5 mega: 13D10 = [5, 4, 6, 2, 2, 10, 1, 8, 9, 4, 7, 2, 9] = 69

5 successes; more than enough. 3 more pool gone.

This will happen next turn, because Clone has to be the only action taken on its turn.

Clone will take 4 quantum pool cuz it's copied.

Total quantum spent: 3+3+4 = 10

Lilly is going to take 2 actions, 1 bow shot and 1 grapple (IIRC), holding both for any wolves or infantry that manage to get too close for comfort.


Vanguards 1 & 2 will start clearing the perimeter. Each will each take 2 actions. 1 shot at an alien close by and then a 2nd action to close toward enemy, trying to get LoS on the infantry and wolves and setting up a buffer between the aliens and the rest of the Irregulars and Deviants from behind cover, ideally (subtract a success or two on the attack if behind cover, or we can re-roll.).

(If the first shot kills their slug, the 2nd shot will be at a at an Infantry if at all possible, which means dropping 2 success on the hit roll and therefore reducing the AP by 4, or a re-roll if preferred. If she can get them lines up to get more than 1 with a single arrow, that would be great. Hehe.)

<"We have to get that slug as soon as it is through the portal and still vulnerable, so be ready guys. I'll cover."> she added, addressing all the Irregulars.

The summoned Vanguard spread out, pairing off and moving through the streets and snow with bows drawn like some sort of sexy, sci-fi ninja from a video game. The advanced toward the gather force of aliens, keeping alert.

<In position.> though Vanguard 3, followed immediately by, <Taking aim...> from Vanguard 6 as they all draw bacl the PAM enhanced bows, bending metal like it were flimsy plastic, taking aim on their respective targets.

<Fire!> thought Vanguard 1

With perfectly timed precision, the  Vanguards fired simultaneously, so as to make it more difficult to spot their positions, adding to the ninja comparison. A half dozen arrows with graphite shafts and tooled, depleted uranium arrowheads sailed through air so fast that the human eye could not hope register them.

Two arrows pierced into each of the huge, Class 4 War Drones, entering through the front of the chest or head and exiting out the back due to their points and the tremendous force behind them. One of the Class 4 War Drones managed some sort of gurgling, cry of agony while the other simply did not know what had even happened, falling to the ground in silence, each of the 50' monsters hitting with such force that the Irregulars and Deviants could feel the ground tremble beneath them. Cars and corners of buildings were caught by the creatures on their way down, crushing automobiles easily beneath their bulk.

The two reaming arrows each found their way to wolves that were curiously searching the area, driving right through them, leaving each wolf standing for a moment before their legs wobbled and they fell to the ground in a heap.

<Nice shots!> Lilly though in praise.

Then a thought occurred to Lilly.

<Hey Sean? What the likelihood of these big'uns being bombs like the Centaurs?> she asked cautiously.

<Not very. It would be too great a danger to their own forces.> Sean answered, sending a small wave of relief over Lilly.

She then thought about what Abel had just said, considering it for a moment.

<Intel would be cool, and it will take s bit of time to take out all of these guys, so I guess get what you can ASAFP? You might even get to see how they think and react, because all hell is about to break loose. When we do kill him, I am guessing that taking out the alien field commander will either make the rest go still, awaiting new orders, or they will keep following their last orders, and/or defend themselves. So if things go sideways, I'm gonna take their field commander out.> she though in Guild Chat as she readied her bow.

Lilly crouched keeping an eye out for any aliens who got too close for comfort, her sense sharp, covering the rest of the team and their makeshift allies in case a sneaky wolf had gotten past the perimeter, her eyes scanning the rooftops for snipers as well.

With Vanguard cutting into the enemy forces, drawing their attention, Abel set about his own task, Ripping every bit of useful information from the enemy field commander.  He would share it all with Sean for immediate analysis, That way they could plan for the other mass incursions.  While he makes no offensive moves, Surprising the Deviants in all likelihood, he's not one to engage in an open battle, that isn't his strength.  He reached out concentrating his will and intellect to the task of gathering information.

Sara sees that aliens are still coming through the portals, <there's too many and more are coming I'm going to try and block the portals>

She launches herself into the air and begins concentrating, pulling the quantum energy inward then out she becomes the snow around the nearest portal and begins to move. Sara hovers a perfect target as she starins to move the snow.

Slowly the snow creeps into a bank, pushing up against the Portal an Alien comes through knocking a good bit aside but it doesn't seem to notice.

<I don't know if I can do this!> She crys out in guild chat.

The infantry aliens are formed into groups, 12 drones per group. each group acts as one. Basically the less numbers in a group the less dangerous it is.

Lilly's managed to take out both of the large aliens which were already here

I forgot to roll Initiative for Alec his roll was 11 so he goes before Kia,

Alec has encased himself in his armor of light...(he also adds a light shield increasing soak both B and L by 6 and makes it do damage to those who come in contact with the shield) and Created two Swords of light as he waited for the team to arrive and attack. On Lilly's announcement of fire! Alec attacks.  Alec takes three actions... He teleports into the nearest Infantry group and attacks two different aliens with the lightswords.

The light swords are a modification of the EM power Lethal Blast

Kia's eyes widen on seeing Lilly's new trick, even as she can sense the play of alien energy in her body echoing it. It wasn't the precise awareness and understanding that Sean could get. What Kia did was more like a parrot hearing a sound and repeating it, with no understanding of the structure or meaning of that noise. She did know one thing though:

This was going to get intense.

She ran towards the towering portal that Sara was trying to contain, and the army of insectile soldiers who had swarmed out through it. Her PAM suit...she'd changed in the car, never one to be shy...crackled with bizarre 'quantum' energy as it synchronized with her and became part of her transformation. Her cell growth exploded recklessly, fueled by physics-defying forces. Kia seemed to stumble, to fall forward, and steam engulfed her for a moment as excess energy blew off in the form of heat. The persistent breeze pushed that cloud away in seconds though, and the 'new' Kia stepped out. Four-legged, vaguely centaur-ish in configuration, if centaurs were twenty feet tall and covered from head to foot in thick chitinous plates of organic armor. Rather than hooves she had more reptilian clawed feet...her 'hands' had enormous talons that came to achingly sharp tips despite their prodigious size.

And then she called on the 'echo' from Lilly. From the one beast came many. Suddenly their bulk all but filled that end of parking lot, crushing a car or two underfoot. The beasts from the portal were bigger...but there was an entire wolfpack of Kias now, and they bounded forward now with delighted giggles that were horribly recognizable as a sound Kia would make; albeit reproduced with thoroughly inhuman vocal cords. They waded into the fray and started ripping into the infantry along with Alec!

In seconds over a dozen of the alien warriors lay shredded and strewn around the field!

Lilly's eyes went wide as she spotted Sara plummeting toward the ground.

<Sara!> she yelled into the Guild Chat at... herselves?

Vanguard 1 looked up and with a surge of strength jumped into the air toward Sara, judging the lead perfectly she snatched the falling Irregular from the air and landed with her cradled in her arms. She then shifted stance and leapt again, landing back at her starting point as she focused on Sara's body, finding the injury easily. She sent energy into the tissues, nerves, bones and simply body of Sara, repairing the damage somewhat.

Just as the effect faded Vanguard 2 reached over and sent the same surge of energy, adding to the restorative effects, making Sara feel significantly better, though still not one hundred percent again.

"You okay, girl? What were you thinking?" Vanguard 1 asked Sara with a small smile, glad to her doing better.

"We patched you up as best we could this fast, but watch yourself." she added

Vanguard 2's hand left Sara's body as she and Vanguards 3-6 all leapt into the assembled alien infantry, interspersing themselves, along with the Kias, among the enemy. The five identical Lilly's lashed out with devastating strike, kicks, knees, and elbows, each strike easily dispatching them until nearly 20 dead infantry drones lay scattered around the various Lilly's as they continued to lash into the enemies.

All the while Lilly too the opportunity to survey the battlefield, so to speak, drawing on what she had learned in the tactics course McKeller offered. Individually the infantry were weak, but each was part of a greater whole, a unit of twelve or so, and if several units focused their fire on any one Vanguard, the result might be undesirable, but with them and the Kia-taurs, and even Chet,  laying into them, over three dozen infantry, more than a third of their number, were already dead.

<We gotta block those portals. The big'un's bodied might block the big one, and I'll have the other Vanguards see about using cars or something to block the others if we need.> she thought over Guild Chat to the rest of the Irregulars.

<Where the hell did Gina go? She turns invisible or something?> she added.

Lilly looked over her shoulder to spy Dan carrying Courtney to cover and nodded. 

"Good job, Dan. We're not all fighters. Keep yourselves safe. We'll try to keep the fighting over there." she said to him approvingly.

Abel scowled as Sara was hit and still he saw what she'd been trying to do.   Taking up where she left off, he picked up the hulking corpses of the two dead large aliens with his telekinesis and used them to block at least temporarily, the portals that would let more aliens through.   It would buy them enough time hopefully to clear out the rest of them without anyone getting injured.  "as we thin them out they will get more accurate, be careful." he yelled over the din of battle, and noted how the enemy commander reacted to the new developments.

Sara rolls to her feet in a smooth move as the two Lilly's minister to her. <Thanks Lilly...Lilly's, but i did what I needed to get the power maybe took a  risk but lots of live depend on Us!>

She steps up holding her hands out she pools her quantum and gives it all she has.

This time the snow flows like water rising up to cover the barriers built by Abel and then the temperature plummets and the snow turns to solid Ice Trapping the creatures inside a prison of frozen death!

"Concentrate on the remaining portals and the hounds!" She yells as loud as she can"

 Sara had absorbed 11 levels which gave her 5 strength leaving her with s5 ms2, Sara uses EM Water to move the snow and then lower is temperture like she did before to create a wall of ice out of the barrier that abel had built. She spent one WP and made a multi action... with 8 Sux on the first and 4 sux on the second.

the hounds are spreading out not gathered when you arrived there were about 200 of them about fifty got coaght in the abel sara trap on the other side.

Seeing what the others are doing to block the portals, Kia quickly catches the attention of a couple of her clones and sends one to each of the two remaining rifts in space. Their bulk prevents others from easily getting through, and their strength and durability make it difficult to force the issue.

The Vanguards each ran and leaped after a pack of wolves, landing in the middle or toward the front where they unleashed an onslaught of powerful punches, devastating kicks and crushing grapples in a lightning fast display of speed, skill and precision. Bone broke, limbs were torn off, body cavities were punched through, leaving a ring of mangled alien corpses around each of the Vanguards, with Vanguard 6 still chasing after a wolf she had missed... because she slipped in blood or something. Yeah. That's it.

Abel opened up his mental scanning again and sent through the linl <Go ahead let's see what happens. Be ready for anything>

 Sara burst into flame and took to the air again,but this time she flew an erratic course to throw off any shots at her all the while hurling Balls of Flame at the running packs of wolf howlers. Two of the flaming spheres struck the centers of two different packs while a third sphere vanished into a snow bank.

All three exploded at the same time roast the hounds caught in the blast and the third sphere setting fire to the Jackson residence.

 

Sara immolates and flys as a wel as make three flame sphere attacks. she get 3 damage on the first sphere which is enough and 2 on the second which doesn't kill them but puts them out for the moment... the htird sphere was a botch and sets fire to a nearby house

Killing the leader had little effect as another drone was tapped to be the leader instantly, running the same sort of multiprograms the original had.   What was more was the direct link to over a thousand incoming drones and preparations to take on the load of coordinating them.   He could feel them and they were almost there.

<better hurry and get them fully blocked everyone, we've got at least another thousand drones incoming and they are nearly here.  Killing the commander does nothing as another simply takes on the role.  We need to gear our combat to cutting down large numbers at once, as many as we can.> he sent over guild chat, worry tinging his thoughts.
