[Exalted - Side Thread] Wearing The Crown Of The Universe

Where: Star's Vengeance

When: In Transit To Kry'sta'tor

,,

It's an interesting thing, heresy. The larger of the Star's Vengeance's hangar bays was largely dark. There was a faint green glow of a pair of Infernal anima banners. Normally the light was only bright enough to be able to read by, but when the rest of the chamber was plunged into darkness, the light played off of the shadows in such a way to add a certain dread grace to the scene.

,,

Thaya, Captain of the vessel itself, chosen of Kimbery, and his willing consort and servant had been relatively easy to sway to his own perspective. After all, it did not take much persuading to convince her of her own worth and value. After all, she cares for all of her Chosen. How much of a leap of understanding is it to see that she sends her Chosen into Creation to be truly great?

,,

The Descending Hierarchy is clear. Those who have power and the will to use it are deserving and right. The Ebon Dragon's "Reclamation" plan, while an admirable ultimate goal, is not in keeping with the laws of Hierarchy. The mortals and the Exalted won the war. They showed the greatest strength and as such, their shutting the Yozi's away into Malfeas was the right and correct thing to do. If only they could see this, then even the Yozis themselves would know it to be true. Unfortunately, they are traumatized, scarred from the pain of war and have not yet recovered.

,,

The Ebon Dragon could not see it at the time, blinded as he is by his own treacherous nature and twisting lies, but others with clarity and vision such as his own could see very well. The Green Sun Princes are Exalted, Chosen and raised through the same power that courses through the Solar Exalted. The difference between them is that through the blessing of the Stellar Intelligences, the Essence of creation coursed through them as well. The Stellar Intelligences were tasked with the oversight and regency of countless stars. The Yozis combined the essence of their stellar selves with the essences of the stars' rulers. The intent was clear. Reclamation, no. Recreation, yes.

,,

The Stellar Intelligences were, for lack of a better term, the prototype for what the Green Sun Princes would become if they allowed themselves to. Janos himself didn't quite understand how or when such a thing would take place, but he did know that the Charms that he wielded were the essence of the Yozis, and the Yozis were individual beings. Even so, he personally commanded charms that were made of the hybrid essences of the Yozis, which spoke not of emulation, but innovation. Taking that which was damaged and proven to be weaker than the current structure of the cosmos, and making something more powerful. More complete. More perfect.

,,

Janos had no delusions of how his Patron Yozi's would react to this revelation if he brought it before them. Much like he had no delusions of how a violent lunatic would react to being confronted with their own lunacy.

,,

There were members of the Star's Vengeance's crew who were appalled with this change in the philosophies and direction of their Captain and even less pleased with the individual who had so brazenly come aboard their vessel and had his way with her. Were the ship itself still a Demon of the Second Circle and not the broken down component parts of such a peer, no doubt it would have some things to say on the subject. However, it's fractured nature had allowed Janos the window he required to bring it to heel. Captain Thaya had stated that the ship's crew was to assemble in the hangar bay, where all would be made clear.

,,

And it was.

,,

The declaration of purpose came not from Thaya but from Janos. And it went over as well as could be expected. Declarations that their directionless raiding, uncontrolled rape and cannibalism of outsiders, and the intra-family feuding that had defined their existence to this point had come to a halt due to "having something better to do" did not sit well with certain members. It was fortunate then that there was more to Janos, pleasant as his words were, than speech. Culling the dissenters had not taken long. Those who were unwilling to accept the new agenda presented found themselves accepting an entirely different type of presentation when Thaya ordered the chamber cast into darkness. That of an Autoklave splitting their midsections into ragged pieces.

,,

Janos's hand brace, a thin collection of metallic pieces that was not quite a gauntlet and still not quite a simple bracer, pulsed gently. More correctly, the contained pocket of chaos that powered it pulsed. in his hand, Janos held the power to bring untold wealth and bounty to being. He also held the ability to bring devastation like few had ever witnessed. It was all through the application of the energies of creation.

,,

Cosmic power was flowing through him, crying out to build worlds or to tear them to pieces. He was a Prince, Chosen to usher in a new cosmic order. His peers, while he had them, would be regarded with the respect and honor that their station warranted, and in time, all others would bow before him, or it would sicken and die under the weight of his disdain.

,,

The Marshalls would have their frontier. The Yozis would have their prison.

,,

Janos, for his part, would wear the crown of the universe.
