The Warlock’s Journal is an interdimensional book that teleports from place to place, recording knowledge in whatever location it finds itself. The places it goes may be widely separated in time and space and even be in different dimensions or alternate realities.
The handful of people who have actually seen the book more than once suggest that it sends its information back to some central location, as they have seen the book nearly filled with information, only to find it almost empty again, or filled with completely different information, at some later point.
Of course, since there is no real proof that the book itself travels through time in a linear manner, such analysis is speculation at best. What powerful entity could have created such a marvel? Where is the ultimate repository (if any) of the wealth of knowledge collected by the Journal in its roving, and is its creator still waiting there, learning about the multiverse? Every month, the Warlock's Journal teleports to a blog site and hosts a contest. For this month (January 2014), it asked for unusual animals or monsters suitable for use in a fantasy arena. The winner will be added as part of Flying Hare's update to Fields of Blood and Honor due out later in 2014.

The ruthless warlord, Caragthax the Reaver, is known only in fragments of history. It is said that he terrorized many kingdoms with his horde of barbaric clansmen, raping and pillaging for many decades. The people lived in fear of his name and when the thunderous hooves of his horde's approach came, entire villages fled before his butcher’s blade.

It came as some surprise when the mighty Caragthax suddenly fell deathly ill after one of his victory celebrations. Legend holds that his jealous lieutenants had conspired to murder him and poisoned his drinking horn in an attempt to claim his power for themselves. But devious Caragthax would have the last laugh...

We originally wrote the Tomb of Caragthax in 2011 as one of our first adventures. It has been one of our most popular convention games of all time. We returned to the tomb, gave Caragthax a much needed update. The Pathfinder game has evolved and added a ton of content, and now so have we. The tomb is bigger, badder and even more deadly.  We've added an entire sublevel and myriad twisted plots that explain much of Caragthax's sordid history.

Secret Cache is a small internal view map of a small secret room in disarray with skeletal remains, stacked and overturned barrels, standing and fallen pillars, and a large sewer grate. The grate could be a secret way in or the door in the top part of the eastern wall. 

Secret Cache can be used in fantasy, horror, or modern games. Its partially ruined appearance makes it acceptable for use in post apocalyptic games as well. 

Secret Cache makes for an excellent secret room to go with our free Wine Cellar map or our The Cellar map.

Silence the Critics: A wine guru maintains an impeccable review record even after holding many wine tasting events. Those who criticize his wines are thinned out of the crowd and given an offer of tasting finer wines within his secret stockpile. They don’t return, as he either murders them outright himself or gives them to a monster that lives underneath the grate. The bodies are left in the room, to prevent the evidence from being found, either dumped there by the wine guru or left as part of his deal with the creature in return for food. The creature itself could be a pink color made from an odd combination of consuming the various white, pink, and red vintages that were once in the room and the blood of its victims. An amoeboid mass that continues to grow and grow with each new victim. The only thing preventing its escape is the fallen pillar that keeps the grate pinned down. But soon it will grow large enough to escape and perhaps eat an entire wine tasting party…

The group can get involved by being part of the next wine tasting party. They could be guests but also could be here in disguise as they are actually detectives or police who have been investigating the case of a rash of disappearances in the area. If they speak critically of his wine, the wine guru may invite them to a private party, consisting of his blade of choice and a horrific monster. The monster could eat the surprised wine guru at a critical moment and then finally has enough mass to lift up the pillar and erupt from the grate. 

Or perhaps the wine tasting party goes smoothly with the group enjoying the wine greatly, except for when a terrible monster bursts through a wall and attacks the drinking guests later in the evening after consuming another wine critic.
