Tamara "Tammy" Preston
The Hospitaler

Tamara grew up idolizing Superheroes. What kid doesn't? Particularly when you live in a city full of them. She lived to get back home after school to watch the news to see if some hero saved the day again. To her, being a Superhero was the pinnacle of what a person could become. The example of a paragon of whatever field or cause that a Superhero would devote themselves to.

Tamara herself... wasn't that extraordinary. She was average in every way, in fact. She got decent grades to at least get into a community college, she was in decent shape, and she was not to extraordinary. She never let it occur to her or get into her head she was about to become a billionaire once she turned 18. She felt that would never make her great, only rich. Great people did great things, not bought them. She felt though that if she just tried hard enough she could be on the level of the heroes she followed.

That was when an accident happened during a hero-brawl. She was in the biology lab, where a mutagen was stored for study on labrats to see how to cure an exposure to it. No one was sure how it eould affect the biology of the animal. Instead the mutagen got into her wounds from the rubble almost crushing her.

When she awoke, a hero had just about completed taking the rubble off of her and was amaed that she still was alive. She was herself, after all she knew the exact PSI the rubble could have exerted if it had slipped just one more centemeter to the left... wait... how was she able to think this on the fly?

While in the hospital, she saw her hair had turned white and her once green eyes turned a piercing blue. But how? Then she figured it all out... not just how she changed, but unified theory, the puzzle of Shrodenger's Cat, hell even what came first (the egg!).

She fell back into her bed in shock.

She turned on the news and was in for another shock. The very hero that saved her in the wreckage a few days ago was killed by a robber's bullet. No paramedics could reach him in time. She never got the chance to thank him.

Then it clicked in her brain. She knew what she had to do!

Once she was well enough to leave the hospital she went about trying to gain the attention of a supergroup. Writing theories, principals, all sorts of treatises that would have taken a Hawking or Einstein most their life. Universities were baffled, but most importantly the brainiacs were intrigued.

The next 4 years after her exposure were a whirlwind. She discovered the reason why she was so intelligent and capable of retaining said knowledge was that her brain became twice as dense with brain cells, and she was able to access 20% of that mass, not to mention her brain halves sub-divided, giving her a bi-cerebrum. Literally two brains that operated like a dual-core computer that was overclocked to double it's base speed.

That and she started to learn how to be a first-responder. Someone that can be there when someone needed her, like that hero needed someone. People needed heroes, one time she needed them. Now she knew, that heroes would need her.

She went about building a suit that would give her the protection she needed in the field and allow her access to environments and conditions that superheroes would need someone like her in. She learned first aid, rescue techniques, and started building a device that would be as useful as any first-aid kit and then some!

When she was done, her high-visibility supersuit and medi-wand would become her standard she flew into battle. No cape, no tights, just a yellow rescue bag, her favorite ballistic goggles, and a smile that said "Don't worry heroes, I'm here."

She became the Hospitaler. A Hero's Heroine.

Paladin Yumi: Background

Hero Name: Paladin Yumi

Secret Identity: Shinji Marasaki

Age: 23

Hair: Black

Eyes: Green

Nationality: Japanese

samurai_archer_by_ozguncan-d2lvmfr.jpg

Complications

Motivation- Duty: Shinji joined the Paladin Corps out of duty to Japan and its people, and having been transported to 21st century America, has extended the same responsibility to the land and people he now is in.

Man In The Past: Shinji has to deal with (to him) clearly antiquated technology and the culture of the 21st century.

Enemy: Lord Arcus and a handful of his Black Knights have also made the time shift to the 21st century, and retain just as much intent to dominate Earth as before.

In one strand of possible future, by the 24th century, humanity, having expanded to the stars beyond Earth, were encountering increased hostile alien activity and the rise of powerful and ambitious rogues with great capability. Hearkening back to the Age of Superheroes, the United Nations established the Paladin Corps, using the Paladin Serum developed by the genius scientist Dr. Morris Grant to empower selected individuals contributed by member states and putting them through advanced training and equipped with the best resources to defend humanity.

18 year old Shinji Marasaki had only begun training with the JSDF out of ingrained duty to the nation, when he was approached by his superiors, for the Japanese government believed him to be highly suited genetically for successful absorption of the Paladin Serum. Feeling he could not refuse, Shinji accepted.

With the Paladin Serum effective, Shinji received extra-intensive and grueling training, followed by when he was ready for action, the gifting of a samurai-inspired Techno-Bow with advanced ammunition and a wrist-mounted grapple launcher for difficult terrain. Japan's samurai legacy was dubbed Paladin Yumi and with the Paladin Corps cut his teeth defending Earth from a major invasion by the Star Khan's fleet.

Over the course of five years, the Paladin Corps did very well, earning honors and accolades a plenty - but there proved to be a greater and more fearsome challenge than the Morley Syndicate or the Grue or the Petrifying Platoon. Tragedy first struck when a lab accident critically injured Dr. Grant, but the ultimate loss was to his sanity.

Emerging Caligula style a megalomaniac, Dr. Grant renamed himself Lord Arcus, and used his scientific expertise, wealth and unexpected tactical skill in waging war to conquer Earth, the core of humanity. He soon developed his most deadly weapon, a more refined version of the Paladin Serum - employing it to create his own personal legion, the Black Knights.

The Paladin Corps fought many times with courage, heroism and determination, but soon they had a losing hand. Many died, and Arcus was nearing definite victory. In a last-ditch strike, five Paladins: Paladin Stripes, Paladin Hood, Paladin Lion, Paladin Shiva and Paladin Yumi, raided Arcus' personal starship to bring down the villain.

Within an hour, all but Shiva and Yumi were dead, though only a smattering of Black Knights remained. Lord Arcus, watching from a throne, laughed, mocking and gibing at the completely defeated Paladins, provoking Yumi to fire a desperate shot. It missed Arcus, but struck one of his machines, which was severely damaged and sparking out of control.

Before anyone could act further, it exploded. Yumi went black. When he awoke, he was in Freedom City, recognizable from images of centuries ago, and two of their fabled Freedom League, Johnny Rocket and Lady Liberty were trying to rouse him.

After things were sorted out, Paladin Yumi, though pained at the loss of his remaining teammates, was convinced to keep on the job in Freedom City, serving as a current guest and auxiliary of the Freedom League. Unknown to him though, Lord Arcus and his Black Knights were taken along too... and Arcus has learned more about time-space travel through studying the aftermath and repairing the damage...

Name- Teletha Katrina Tesstarossa

Age- 18

Height 5'7

Weight 120 lbs

Teletha is the daughter of moderately wealthy parents. They always knew she was special, little did they know how much. Possessing her mother's movie star good looks, and some of her father's intellect, she developed an easy-going attitude, and is the center of a vast circle of friends at any school she attends.

She never stays at one for long, eventually the truth comes out. Teletha is a psionic, Inasmuch as she is possessed of amazing mental powers. These powers have facilitated her moves from school to school, and the use of considerable money to obfuscate this.

Her Father is Andreivich Kalinin, a Real estate tycoon born to Russian parents in America. Blessed with a keen mind and glib tongue, he's made wheeling and dealing his life, and he excels at it. Still he is a known philanthropist, supporting vast charities all across the nation.

Teletha's mother is Miranda Tesstarossa, an academy award winning Actress. Known more for her roles as Villains, most are quite surprised to find she's a wholly nice and kind woman, and mother of three. Her figure betrays none of it, and she looks no older than her mid twenties, though she is actually forty five.

Teletha has two younger sisters, Mellisandra and Nastasha. These twins are six years younger than her, and so far possess no powers like their elder sister. Both accept the moves with aplomb, and harbor no ill-will against her. It's likely though, that as they age jealousy will develop, as so much attention is focused upon her.

Secret Identity: Parker Grant

Age: Unknown

Hair: Red

Arriving with Paladin Yumi, Parker Grant is a bit of a mystery to the people of Freedom City. She is cheerful and generally willing to help out those that ask her, especially the more unusual or complicated the task; she spends most of her free time exploring every nook and cranny of the city or following Yumi around. She's earned the nickname "Thistle" from him for her propensity for creating the flowers of the same name when bored or contemplative.

Motivation: Thrills: Parker is constantly seeking out new experiences to add to her database. Obsession: Parker as an intense desire to learn and experience. This can become a problem if she's left bored for any length of time, as she will set out on her own and not always follow the laws of the land in her search for something new, exciting, or interesting. Joani-8pre_1341355212__swanson.jpg

Hero Name: Suprema (that's how the people call her, she never claimed that name herself)

Age: Unknown - apparently early 20s

Hair: Blonde

Eyes: Blue

Ethnicity: Caucasian

Nationality: Stranded Alien - Freedom City

History:

Joani 8 is from the Planet Valor, a very advanced and striving Culture of humanoids who look like humans but have a different genetic setup.

The Valorians eventually got too proud of themselves and the society got into internal disputes about the path they should further follow. Some wanted to advance science and technology and expand while majority said they were doing just fine and change wouldn't be necessary. Thus a splinter Group of Valorians seperated themselves from the Government and started darker experiments of science tainting their original virtues path as they followed their goal of supremacy.

This led to a civil war which almost eradicated the entire population.

A very small number of Valorians survived and thanks to their superior knowledge in science and bio-engineering they became a society of cloners.

Females had become very scarce and natural reproduction would have taken too long so they picked the 9 genetically most perfect women and cloned them, changing their genetic/biological setup.

These 9 were enhanced to superhuman levels and they would serve as protectors and defenders of their almost extinct society and eventually start to reproduce normally once they reached a certain number.

All 9 clones have been imprinted with special behavioral patterns, making them paragons of virtue and justice. Their main goal is to preserve live and protect the weak they also build-in a failsafe should one of their creations become corrupted. Gold will render a Valorian powerless and they lose their invulnerability vs. Weapons made of Gold.

The Clones are mature after 5 years (equals a 21 year-old Female on Earth) and can reproduce with a Valorian mate once a year. Gestation is drastically enhanced meaning that pregnancy only lasts 9 weeks and the children mature as fast as the original Clone mothers.

In order to make it safe for the Valorian Mate the female becomes powerless during the time of her possible conception (it lasts for about a month once a year in which she can find a mate. Humans can be compatible per genetics but only a 20% of a successful impregnation of the Zygote)

Sartok, one of the founders of the Seperatists stole one of the Incubators containing an 8 with the intention of creating his own clones based on her. These would found the army he wanted to build to recapture Valor. Unfortunately his Spacecraft got damaged after he had to make a haste escape. The jumpdrive malfunctioned and upon re-entry he lost control of the vessel.

The craft crashed at the foot of Mount Stanley which quickly caught the attention of the local defenders and heroes. Within minutes they reached the crashed craft and decided to investigate finding the Incubator in which Suprema was held prisoner. Unfortunately the damage to the vessel was beyond repair and Sartok made every effor to make sure that his price would not be stolen.

Fortunately for Suprema and with the help of her new found allies they managed to free her and she immediately attacked Sartok. The fight was short and intense but they had lost valuable time and had to abandon ship unless they would die in its explosion. With Incantatrix help they managed to savely escape only to find Sartok waiting for them with a second assault.

With combined effort the heroes successfully subdued Sartok and convinced Suprema to hand him over to the local authorities but not without emphasizing how dangerous he was and that he should be kept under constant surveillance.

Stranded on Earth Suprema has to adapt quickly, learning the local language which fortunately thanks to her enhanced DNA is something she picks up on fast.

Complications

Amnesia: Suprema crashlanded on Earth. When she was found she had no recall of who she was or where she came from. Unfortunately the vessel she crashed with was destroyed by Sartok - an evil Valorian male from her homeworld.

Enemy: Sartok - The Valorian male who kidnapped her from her homeworld to create an army of eights (see background) to conquer Earth. His plan was thwarted by a brave band of Heroes who rescued Suprema. Ever since she has pledged her allegiance to the Superhuman League and fights Sartok whenever he shows up.

Motivation: Responsibility: Suprema feels a strong responsibility to put her powers to good use and benefit of humankind.

Power Loss: The Metal Gold interferes with Suprema's superpowers. If she is shackled/Cuffed with pure golden manacles around her wrists and ankles she loses all her powers. The mere presence of gold makes her feel dizzy and lightheaded (this effect requires an amount of at least 2 Kilograms of pure gold)

Weakness: Suprema is vulnerable to pure Gold. Her Protection is useless against Weapons made of gold.

Quirk: Suprema knows nothing about Earth. She doesn't understand any pop-culture references or figures of speech. She takes what she hears literally which can lead to involuntary awkward or funny situations, while she struggles to understand the concepts of human society.

Heavy

Name: Honesto Lacro

Also Known As: Heavy (superhero name), Nesto (nickname)

Ethnic Background: Filipino

Nationality: American

Age: 18

Height: 5’9”

Weight: 1,647 lbs. / 747 kg.

Eye Color: Brown

Hair Color: Black

Handedness: Right

Appearance: At 5’9”, Honesto doesn’t quite qualify as “tall”, but he’s got the “dark and handsome” part of the old adage going for him, nonetheless. His boyish face, exotic looks, and surfer’s physique all combine to make Honesto quite the head-turner. He generally prefers casual, loose fitting clothing (that he generally forms himself using his morphic abilities).

Personality: Honesto not only looks like a surfer, he has the easygoing zen-like personality to match. He’s almost always calm, laid-back and accepting of whatever comes his way. Though not especially aggressive by nature, Honesto’s seemingly imperturbable calm comes from an utter fearlessness, approaching true ataraxia, in the face of even the most unexpected or dangerous of situations. Though he does take care to stay clean and well-groomed, and seems to have put some thought into his own personal style, Honesto seems entirely indifferent to his good looks and the affect they have on others around him.

Abilities/Special Skills: Honesto is a talented singer and a skilled guitarist. Though he still has a ways to go before he could reasonably expect to “make it big” as a performer, he is nonetheless a very accomplished musician for his age. Honesto is also very athletic and agile, and is known amongst his fellow students at Claremont for his insightfulness, level-headedness, and attentiveness.

Capabilities: Central to Honesto’s powers is his increased mass and his high level of control over that mass. His incredible density gives him truly superhuman strength and durability, while his precise control over his own form grants him increased speed and agility, along with some not-inconsiderable shapeshifting and regenerative abilities and, operating at a subconscious level, the ability to adapt to external threats and changes in the environment.

Background: Honesto Lacro was born in Freedom City to a second-generation American Filipino father named Arvin Lacro and a “family’s been in America so long they’ve lost track of which generation they’re currently on” Caucasian mother named Cecilia Lacro nee Carter. A year or so after Honesto was born; the family left Freedom City and moved to Oceanside, California, to a beachside neighborhood. There Arvin continued to work as a chef, as he had done in New York, mostly in various mid- to high-end restaurants serving one sort of “Asian” cuisine or another. During the first few years of Honesto’s life, his mother stayed at home to raise him, but once he reached five years of age and began his first year of school she returned to work as a nurse.

The majority of Honesto’s life in California was a happy and contented (if not very exciting) one. He spent a mellow child hood at the nearby beach, or skateboarding with friends. Good-looking and easygoing, Honesto was easy to like and, as a result, he never lacked for friends. As he grew older he took up surfing and skateboarding, becoming increasingly skilled at both as he got older. All in all, his childhood was active and happy and filled with lots of memories and few regrets.

That all changed when his mutant abilities first began to manifest shortly after he hit puberty. In Honesto’s case, his abilities manifested slowly and gradually, but manifest they did and not without consequences. At first his weight gain was not especially noticeable (all boys start to pack on pounds once they hit puberty, after all), but it soon had reached the point where both surfing and skateboarding were difficult, and then impossible for him. Nesto’s heroic moniker “Heavy” comes from the nickname his family gave him when his abnormally high density and weight became unavoidably obvious. Once his actual superpowers started to make themselves known, things really got weird.

Fortunately for his stressed-out parents, the Claremont Academy, back in Honesto’s city of birth, caught wind of his unusual condition and made an offer to Arvin and Cecilia. Soon afterwards they moved back to Freedom City, where Arvin now works as a chef in one of the many hotel-casinos lining the Boardwalk district of South Freedom, while Honesto’s mother Cecilia works as a nurse at Freedom Medical Center in the North End. They live in the Theater District, close to Parkside.

Honesto, meanwhile, now lives, and attends classes, at the Claremont Academy. There he is completing his final year of high school and is receiving training in the safe and responsible use of his growing superhuman powers. Nesto still visits his parents often (though not often enough, in his mother’s opinion), but he’s definitely enjoying his newfound independence.

Nesto’s massive weight causes him more than his share of difficulties in his personal life, as modern infrastructure simply isn’t designed for people who weigh over 1,600 pounds. These difficulties are offset somewhat by the fact that his powers have grown with increasing rapidity over the past couple of years and he currently rivals Megastar as the most powerful student at Claremont. Honesto is massively strong, incredibly tough, very fast, very agile, and his morphic and shapeshifting abilities give him a versatility that goes far beyond just being able to hit the bad guys really, really hard until they give up.

Needless to say, Nesto was asked to become a part of Next-Gen not long after he came to Claremont, and he just as quickly accepted. Though he is one of the Next-Gen’s newest members, he has already shown himself to be a very capable and valuable member of the team, and, in his superheroic identity as “Heavy”, Nesto is quickly becoming known throughout Freedom City.

      Complications
Heavy: Weighing in at almost 2 tons, Honesto often runs into trouble when dealing with the real world. Chairs, beds, many automobiles - and even some buildings - aren't really made to accomodate someone of his immense weight. "Heavy" is more than just a superheroic codename for Honesto and he has to constantly be aware of his surroundings, because if he isn't damage to property and his surroundings is the likely - if unintentional - result.

Identity: Honesto's keeps his private life and his identity as the hero known as "Heavy" seperate.

Motivation: Doing Good: Heavy fights against evil and injustice because it's the right thing to do, and it really is just that simple to him. He's not a hero because he wants to impress anyone, or to live down some past sin, or to repress guilt, or so that others will like him or so that he can be famous. He just wants to do what's right - unfortunately, doing "the right thing" isn't always easy!

Relationships (Love Triangle!): Serena Vervain (aka Seven), Christopher Beck (aka Megastar), and Honesto Lacro (aka Heavy) are all members of the teenaged superhero group “Next-Gen”. Honesto Lacro kinda-maybe-might have a crush on Serena (“Of course I think Serena’s awesome (and hot!), but she’s way too intelligent and responsible to go for a slacker like me.”). Serena Vervain kinda-maybe-might have a crush on Honesto (“He’s really funny (and really cute!), but he’s so hard to read – what if he doesn’t like me?”). Christopher Beck definitely-absolutely-positively has a crush on Serena Vervain… that she’s completely oblivious of.

Let the drama and teen angst commence!

donar.jpgPersonal Information

Identity: Budlungr Donar Wodenson

Nicknames: Prince Donar, Donar

Occupation: Budlungr [Prince] of the Æsir, Hero of Freedom City

Legal Status: Uncertain

Marital Status: Umarried

Known Relatives: None here

Allegiance(s): Freedom City, the Æsir Royal Family

Physical Traits

Weight: 151 lbs

Height: 6'5"

Apparent age: late teens/early twenties

Actual age: 62

Gender: Male

Ethnic Background: Alien

Eye Color: Blue

Hair Color: Pale Blond

Handedness: Right

Appearance: Donar is a young man who appears to be roughly seventeen years old. In truth, he's 62, and considered a child until he reaches majority at 75. He is tall and well-built, with a build that promises filling out as he matures - not that he isn't a strapping young lad already.. When he first appeared, he had a full beard and long hair complete with braids and hair ornaments; to clean up his image, Professor Richard Watcher taught the young man to shave and tricked him into a haircut. Now Donar appears to be like any other teen boy, albeit a very handsome and healthy one.

Powers, Skills, and Personality

Known Powers: Donar has a way with the weather. He can call up storms and unleash blinding volleys of lightning, attack with thunderbolts, cause slowing storms and drop a tornado on an opponent. He uses the wind to fly. Likewise, weather doesn't seem to bother Donar; he can walk barefoot through the snow or dance through a hailstorm. Donar can also cross into any other dimension with a step, but is barred from his home. Since this is where Woden sent him, Donar has stayed in Freedom City. He's tougher than he should be and dodges attacks better than his ability implies.

Abilities/Special Skills: Donar is descent at close combat; he likes to spar through few humans can safely spar with him. He understands how to live in a frozen environment. He has knowledge of the weather, as well as decent perception and persuasion.

Personality: Donar is arrogant, impulsive, domineering and often angry about his situation. But even his detractors will admit that Donar tries to be better than he has been before. Thinking of others doesn't come first to him but is becoming something he does. When he acts on his better nature, he is a generous and warm-hearted person, quick to forgive and quicker to laugh.

Background: Donar is the eldest son the Jofurr [King] of the Æsir, born to privilege and prestige. He grew up spoiled, hunting, whoring, drinking and feasting in true Æsir style. The problem was that he hadn't, in many of the nobles' eyes, earned the right to live like an Æsir warrior. Donar assumed these rights without having done the deeds to earn them.

The situation worsened until Woden felt his only choice was to make his son earn the rights. He took the boy to war, where Donar flourished, giving himself over to the heat of battle easily. Woden saw the boy could fight, but he didn't understand leadership. When given command, Donar acted as if he were still fighting alone, leaving companions behind in his fury.

Then Woden knew he had one recourse: he had to send his son to Earth. Long ago, this land had been the testing ground for young Æsir, before the Æsir had withdrawn as part of a treaty between the worlds. The Jofurr felt they would teach his wild young son to be a leader. So he cast him out through the dimensions, allowing him to return when he had earned the right to be a king and return home.

Donar fell into Freedom City and reacted poorly. He couldn't understand the language anyone was speaking and he was angry and – though he wouldn't admit it – afraid. He attacked the first person to greet him, Eldrich, and began to rampage, looking for his father. The young man felt betrayed, and in his pain, he did a lot of damage. When he was stopped, Dr. Richard Walker, an expert in Nordic culture and the only person in Freedom City who understood Old Norse, was engaged to speak to him. Dr. Walker saw to the heart of the lost boy and saw the good man he could become. It took some time, but he convinced the authorities to let him school the young man, clean him up and allow him to repay his debt to Freedom City. Reluctantly, they agreed and Donar passed into Dr. Walker's care for three months. With Eldrich’s help, Donar was placed in Claremont Academy.

It has been a rough three months. Donar has never been exposed to minorities or feminism before. He learned English as fast as he could, but he still has trouble communicating. And he’s still the selfish young boy his father exiled. All of these things have made it hard for him to adapt to life at Claremont.

Still, here have been times when another side of the young man has been seen. A flare of selflessness here; an act of random kindness there. Slowly, he seems to be ‘getting it’, to start the long path to being the man he was sent here to be. He continues to try to rise above his past actions and prove that he is worth to be a Budlungr of the Æsir.

Real Name: Ryan Carter.

Occupation: Model.

Legal Status: Legal citizen of the United States.

Marital Status: Single.

Known Relatives: Melanippe “Battle Maiden” Clyemne-Carter (Mother), Richard “Slipspeed” Carter (Father-Deceased).

Allegiance(s): Nominally the Amazons of Thymescyria.

Physical Traits

Weight: 200 lb.

Height: 6’

Apparent age: early 20’s

Actual age: 23

Gender: Male

Ethnic Background: Caucasian/Amazonian

Eye Color: Hazel

Hair Color: Brown

Powers, Skills, and Personality

Known Powers: Rush has inherited the ability to move at super human speeds from his father and super human strength and toughness from his mother. His whole biology is developed to handle his enhanced speed and strength.

He can move at speeds of up to 2,000 mph, can complete tasks in a fraction of the time it normally takes and can dodge bullets. His body also heals wounds incredibly fast.

It has been suggested that Rush‘s upper limit strength-wise is around 25 tons although he seems far more comfortable with smaller weights. He has been seen throwing things incredible distances, and has the ability to make fantastic leaps as well. Rush’s body is incredibly resistant to harm and his immune system is strong enough to filter out any poison or toxin he is exposed to.

Ryan has developed a few tricks involving his speed and strength including the rapid disarming of groups and the ability to strike opponents incredibly hard and send them flying.

Abilities/Special Skills: Ryan is a model and is good at dealing with people. His parents, being super heroes have made sure that he is trained in combat and he is also a decent athlete.

Personality: Ryan is a friendly but quiet individual. He is loyal and generous to friends and family, but treats his super heroic career from a pragmatic “day job” or unwanted chore kind of perspective rather than some sort of higher calling. He enjoys his modeling career and seems to have no body shame what so ever.

Background: Ryan Carter is the only some of the Amazonian heroine Battle Maiden and lightning fast hero Slipspeed. He grew up surrounded by the Super Hero culture and for years he ardently wished he had powers of his own.

Somewhere between his 11th and 12th birthday, he got his wish. Ryan was elated to find out he’d inherited elements of both his parents powers and several months later, debuted on the heroic scene as Rush; joining his parents in their super heroic adventures.

Ryan acted as Rush for roughly 6 years and had all sorts of adventures. He’s been to other planets, the Isles of the Amazons and Atlantis. He’s been to other dimensions and traveled in time. He’s also fought all sorts of criminal, madmen and villains. Over this time, Ryan slowly became jaded to the super hero world and eventually hung up his costume when he was 18, electing instead to go to University.

Shortly into his 2nd year, Ryan was discovered by an agency talent scout and was introduced to the modeling world. Ryan found he truly enjoyed modeling and over the next 5 years built up a career. He still occasionally put on the costume, but his focus had changed from being a hero to being a model.

2 months ago, Tragedy struck Ryan’s family when his father Slipspeed heroically gave his life to stop Crime League member’s Medea and Orion. In the aftermath, Ryan came home to Freedom City for the funeral and was convinced to stay and take up the mantle of Rush again by his mother and members of the Freedom League. Recently, Ryan’s mother Battle Maiden has returned o the Isle of the Amazons to go through a period of mourning and has left Rush to help fight the good fight in Freedom City.

Bob "Vitas" Johnson

Hero Name: Vitas

Secret Identity: Bob Johnson

Age: Appears in upper 20's lower 30's

Hair: Brown

Eyes: Blue

Height: 6'0"

Weight: 160lbs

Ethnicity: Caucasian

Nationality: Freedom City

Motivation: Debt - Vitas has a debt that he can probably never repay.

Complications: Enemy - The Eye of Magnus. A well known, secret group of evil mages.

Enemy - Mortis. The Eye of Magnus' main weapon. Mortis appears to be almost the exact opposite of Vitas and is The Eye of Magnus' prefered person to battle with him. Though, it does almost seem that there is something more between the two than just an 'organizational' grudge.

Vitas has been around since the late 70's, early 80's, though, in general, he has kept a pretty low profile during that time. In the time since, he has shown complete control over his body as well as the ability to heal or harm with a touch. He has proven to be knowledgeable in both arcane lore and modern technology, as well as the ability to treat injuries without use of his power.
