Justin OOC
It wasn't the sort of thing the Chinese advertised. Everyone knew they had novas under arms, most nations did, in some form or another. What wasn't known was how the Chinese were going about procuring more. The Xien Sheng Project within the government had procured the services of a trio of novas, at considerable costs, but they were more than willing aid in the pursuit of new novas, in their own way. Shen Tsang smiled, frowned, looking at the latest batch of Catalyst eighy-nine, a chemical concocted by Dr.Xiang, the second nova here. He'd gotten ahold of the C-Z syndicate's Erruption catalyst and refined it, lessening the dreadful effects somewhat, but any viable nova created by it would still be quite tainted, and only of use truly as a shocktrooper. Still with almost eight dozen already created after a year of research and testing, he felt he'd made some progress. Of course there were significan failures, and decidedly some of them were major. That was where the final member of the Trio came in. Shen Hua was a former Elite, offered an outrageous sum of money for her services. She was there nominally to keep the project under tight security, and if need be, take out any of the byproducts of the operation. She'd amassed a bodycount of novas far beyond any other nova Elite, but they weren't official, nor were they even close to her power. She sighed, wondering how many of this batch would go to far and have to be destroyed. It wasn't that she cared, She enjoyed the killing. Still more success would get the higherups to back down some, especially some useable novas that didn't require special containment facilities until they were needed. The 100 peasants selected for this day's test were naked, and all in independant rooms. The specially trained Cadre of Red Guard Elite, one of Shen's achievements, stood ready to terminate anyone who esecaped Shen Hua, and barring that, beneathe the base, There was enough explosives including a small neuton bomb, made to kill everyone and everything if things got so out of hand that new "novas" would be able to escape. So far it never got there. The trio of Novas, though Xiang was not really suited to battle, managed to keep them from ever getting past the Red Guard. Shen left the lab, heading outside to see to the guard, and that's when he felt it. There was another, powerful nova nearby. Sending a command to the entire base, he suspended the test, ordering all systems to silent running hoping the nova flying above would pass by. Hidden as it was, he'd be unlikely to see the base from above, with several layers of cammoflage. He could almost make the nova out, and waited, ready to order the anti air guns, many already manually sighted in, to open fire.
