Kane Knight
Wow. I have a feeling I should know this by now.The Mega Appearance section lists additional style dice for Mega Beauty, and Extra intimidation dice for Mega Ugliness. I've always used Mega Appearance (Unless defined as Ugly) to give to both Appearance and intimidation rolls, as a normal Mega Die would. Is the estra die on top of the mega dice, or instead of, and do Mega Beautiful Novas normally get any bonuses to intimidation if not?The Eleventh Wonder of the World--The Twelth being how he could read a book inside and out and miss a chunk of text so many times... Brucifer
personally i'd say both as that how it reads.Normally you use the attribute dice + the skill dice + the mega dice (we call them nova dice or nova stats in my team - doesnt sound quite so "fairly-mega man")- the rules for mega appearance say additional dice based on mega appearance, so there you go...if anyone out there knows otherwise then please tell us.Share the wealth baby... Kirby1024
Of course, I tend to find that Mega-Ugliness works better if you adopt the Adventure! Appearance scale, ie Your Appearance dictates how memorable you are, rather than how attractive you are.As a result, you can keep using the Att >= Mega-Att limitation without problems. The only things that really change is that the Mr. Nobody enhancement drops your Appearance to 1 (or, possibly, 0), and that instead of your Appearance going to 0 if you're completely inhuman-looking, it goes to 5 (thus, giving you a more accurate Intimidation Dice Pool...)Actually, I find that the Adventure! Appearance scale works better in many WW games. Nosferatu in Vampire still have to worry about their Appearance stat, just like everyone else, which I find far better, game-wise. Again, when your dice pool is usually Appearance + Intimidation, having Appearance of 0-1 kinda reduced the impact of it.

Thus Doc's Troll form has an appearance of 3, but +[2] for intimidation. I also always make the argument that his Strength rather than App should be used within arms length. Sandy Davis
And for Sandy who can turn into a small sun.. I think that would be damned intemadating.Sorry the whole your skin is melting becuase your closse to her is something scary.. The fact is that intimadation should be made more of a role play thing than a rule play thing. There are way to many ways to be scary if your a nova. From you saw me throw a tank,to I am just unerving to be around, too I have first strike capabillities(I can do about as much damage as a nuke) and you know it..Would Troll be scary to Pax?No, but he would be to most other things.
