Darrik changed up after he was finished, and seemed more relieved than anything. No Jez around, which for once helped. He needed the private moments to himself. Franky, he figured the performance had really been a distraction at most, from the current issues, and he wasn't exactly fond of the massive audience of monsters.

Ironically, it had been that frustrated genius, annoyed and the object of disdain that had resonated with him... naturally. He supposed he wouldn't pass up the party, but he searched out his grandfather, ecstasic and proud of his grandson's performance. That alone made it worthwhile for him to, and for Darrik's efforts too now. Aside from whatever Jez planned to scintillate and tease him with tonight.

Now, they went to the party.

Aria took her time, sitting in the dressing room after she'd changed back into her uniform and dabbing away the stage makeup. Anyone watching might have thought that she was simply being careful at first...but over a few minutes it would be obvious she was just stalling.

It wasn't that she didn't like the show. On the contrary...it had gone well and would normally have been fun. But the shadows hanging over everything were still there. Destroying the sigils had saved the day from that specific threat, but they were still on defense, and defense was the side destined to lose unless it could turn things around.

But if she didn't go, she'd miss things and be at a disadvantage...even if part of her was wanting to simply leave the academy behind, return to the mortal world and not worry about all this. Part of her...but not much.

She went to join the others at last.

Skye shared a smile with Kuromaru when they were dismissed. "See you at the party?" she whispered to him.

"Of course," he told her with that faint smile of his, the one that always flipped her stomach over.

"Alright," she murmured, her heart floating in her blue eyes as she gave his hand a quick squeeze. Turning, she left to go to her room, humming as she went. There was a time when the new hygenokai, Kat, would have worried her, but there was no room for that in Skye tonight. She was running on a high from being in the play. And in love.

She was in love, in that ridiculous, first-love love. Not that the word was in her mind yet. She wasn't thinking that she loved him as only a teen girl can for the first time; she only knew that she'd done well in her play and soon she'd see him again, at the party.

She didn't stop smiling as she changed her clothes and headed for the party.

Delilah basked in the adulation of the crowd, feeding on it so deeply she was quivering with the delicious sensations, and she had to be pulled off stage. Through her exhilarated high, there crawled a hint of disappointment that her mother hadn't seen her perform... even if she suspected Lilith was off for a 'performance' of her with Forbesi.

Which reminded her of the night the Demon Lord's daughter had promised her and Kyohei. With a giggle, she flitted over to Kyohei, giving him a caress and an exuberant kiss, then twirled over to Serena, ostensibly giving her a hug that looked to merely be one between female friends and a congratulatory kiss on either cheek. But it felt more personal than that, especially after Delilah sultrily whispered in her ear, "Seems our parents have left us to our own devices. Whatever shall we do without the parental units keeping an eye on us?"

Before Serena could respond, Delilah slipped away, waving at the rest of the crew and blowing them kisses. "Great show guys and great job," she chirped, "See y'all in Meeting Room Three."

In a sensual stupor, the seductive succubus swayed away to her dorm-room instead of the dressing-room, humming merrily. She stripped out of her costume and scattered the glimmering sable and gold cloth across the floor, along with her underwear as she shifted back to her natural form. She pondered her extensive wardrobe spilling out of her deep closet, across the floor, and encroaching on Aria's side of the room.

Her purple eyes alighted on the perfect dress and smiled as she slipped it on, not bothering with underwear. Adding a matching pair of cute stiletto heeled sandals, Delilah primped in the mirror then strutted off to Meeting Room Three. The teen temptress burst into the room, a vision in a shimmering, white dress, her deep burgundy hair tumbling over her shoulder in sharp contrast, the towering sandals laced up to her knee. It was more of a satiny slip than true outer-wear. On anyone else, it may have conveyed the pure and innocent sensuality of an angel, but on Delilah's curves, it seemed all the more wanton and sinful, if no less pure... somehow. It was a paradox all of her own.

"Let's get this party started!" she exclaimed, concealing her disappointment that her mother wasn't there. She would have to make up for her feeling of abandonment by sharing her bed with two people tonight. Her boyfriend and her girlfriend. Her wide smile brightened even further, to a scintillating degree.

Kyra looked around for her father a moment, but upon not seeing him at all she figured he must be up to something, or had a matter that he had to deal with either involving other dragons or back at home in the mountains. Once she was certain he wasn't around, she nodded to her friends and went back to her own room to change out of her own outfit and into something that suited her better.. a lovely red silk dress with gold and ruby jewelry, she had started adding silk to her treasure.. and soon enough she joined the party herself.

"Hmm my Dad's not showed up yet." She thinks, secretly wishing to see her Dad one more time before her academics began.

Not seeing her Mother was a breath of fresh air... perhaps... things would be a bit more peaceful. Aside from the brewing tensions with the Students which she fully intended to investigate.

Seeing the whole host of diverse people in the party room as she grabbed some soda was... refreshing.

Kuromaru removed the costume and hung it neatly on the wall of the male dressing room, glad that the performance was over and had not been a disaster. He was equally glad that he didn't have to wear those ridiculously tight breeches anymore, considering them vulgar. The shirt was at least semi-attractive, loose and flowing as a proper garment should be.

Now... What to wear to this after party? He couldn't go in his True shape, of course. That was against school rules... He sighed. Well, if he couldn't look like the Prince of All Beast-Demons, then he would at least dress like it. He turned to his closet and began to search his garments. Finally settling on an outfit he pulled it out and began to dress himself, another thing he had had to become used to since coming to the Academy. Crisp clean white silk under-robes went on first, followed by a midnight-black imperial kimono of thick-woven silk, sewn with elaborate patterns in emerald and silver thread. On his feet he donned court slippers of the same material before standing up straight to regard himself critically in the mirror. Yes, it would suffice. It wasn't as elaborate as full court attire, but then this was not that manner of gathering. He left the black hair of his human guise loose, knowing that Skye liked it that way, and smiled faintly. Yes, the worst of the evening was over - it was now time to enjoy the best.

Turning, he left his dorm and made for the Meeting Room.

The party lasted late into the night. What was urprising was the lack of elders. Of the Monster Lords, only Asano and Aoi were present. Katrina's Father was among the last to arrive, nodding to Kuro. The Lions at one time ruled the Hengeyokai, but Kuro's grandfather had risen up and taken control from the Lion Tribe, nearly wiping them out. He cautioned Katrina to be wary of him.

Asano sat with Aria and her mother, Favoring the Jurai Gumo openly. Such a thing was sure to spread around the Elemental worlds, perhaps enhancing their stature slightly. Chiaya was there as well, reassuring yuuki that she enjoyed her performance, and that she brought honor to Hina. Finally, the Elder Hina nodded, Telling her to go and have fun with her friends. That was also part of why she was here.

Marius Chatted with the Headmaster and Miss Nekomone, allowing Darrik to overhear the conversation, giving him some higher level information on certain historical actions that had happened at the school, many of them comical, involving a previous Newspaper club incarnation, and at least three of the current faculty as students.

Eri and Lumah sat with Aoi, a more uneasy table than many, but still the Angel lord was quite civil, thanking lumah for adapting so quickly, and telling them she'd enjoyed their participation in the play. It spoke of their character, agreeing to help on such short notice.

Kuro and Skye were left alone largely, brought over only to toast the play's success.

The Theater club played the hosts, though they enjoyed sitting and eating with their parents as well.

Kana approached Kyra, saying only "You did well, little sister."

Kyohei put in an appearance at Aoi's table, at least for a time, thanking Eri and Lumah. Then Delilah came to pull him away, but not before Aoi extended an offer to come visit the Sokatsu estate. Once she pulled him away, She sought out Serena, who stood alone, watching the others. "Not tonight, but later, I promise Delilah. I'm... not mentally ready.. for it tonight." She was worried, concerned, scared, and of what she wasn't saying. Still the absence of her brother, Father, and Lilith didn't sit well with her.

(10 cp to everyone. A new chapter will come online by next week.)
