Even before they were married they seemed to understand each other. Like each one knew what the other was thinking. Jack and Jane were from two different mercenary families, well known for their prowess on the battlefield. The heads of those households decided on a old-fashioned betrothal for them when they came of age. They were already showing promise as excellent, almost uncanny killers and operators from the start. Jack was a born marksman. His razor sharp eyesight and almost wired reflexes allowed him to anticipate where someone would shoot, and respond with practically anything that could reach his target. He also became a vicious martial artist, learning Taijutsu at a young age, and was one of the first to start picking up the fundamentals of what would become in the early 21st century as Parkour. Jane on the other hand had the reflexes of a pilot. If it flew, floated, dived, or drived she was an ace at it's controls. If it was armed... she was practically unstoppable. Her skills as a mechanic were top notch as well and she had no fear. None. Just like her future husband. When they married, their honeymoon was all business. BIG business. They recieved a contract in 1977 to off a certain individual who was found out to be the legendary war hero Captain Minnesota. He was happily enjoying a peaceful civilian life in Minnetonka, in a house on the lake. Little did he know it was the last day of his life when he woke up that morning only to see a black helicopter swoop in and surgically drop off it's deadly cargo in the form of Jack. Jane destroyed the house with missiles while Jack went in and went berserk. The fight was brutal. Captain Minnesota even at his age was stronger, faster, smarter, and more trained than any ordinary person. Jack was a living, breathing weapon. When he took the head of the good captain, the mystic forces that granted him power poured out - seemingly screaming for revenge. Bringing down Jane and Striking Jack with lightning. This storm created from Captain Minnesota's death also created the disaster that wiped the Twin Cities off the face of the earth. When Jack came to, he was in a rubble pile, his hair turned white. Jane bobbed unconciously, supported only by a slowly leaking life vest, her hair turned blue. Jack ran over and swam out to his wife but as he moved he felt he could move like lightning. In moments he went from the destroyed small mansion to the water where Jane was in a thought. Jane came to as water started managing to splash over her vest. She panicked since she couldn't swim, and in that panic phased through her gear. But then she noticed she could breathe the water when phased as the water permeated her body, instantly infusing her with oxygen from the water! When the two managed to get reunited, they knew what was what... they had powers now... and they could call any shot they chose. Over the course of the next thirty years they discovered they didn't age, wounds closed instantly... They were almost immortal. It was then they had a thought... what if they had a child?
