World of Darkness: The Darkness of Space - A Correspondence to Wyrd

It was late, at least on her own schedule, before Wyrd made it back to her office. It had been a particularly busy day, the first of many she suspected. Finding a scroll on her desk was enough to cause a moment's pause, but with all of the immortals around, someone preferring archaic modes of communication wasn't unheard of.

She unrolled the scroll to find it blank, but she could clearly feel that there was some magic present, so she scanned it with both Spirit and Life sight to reveal a message:

Quote:
Greetings sister, I hope the rays of the moon have lead you well. For I have followed them to this place and as respect and tradition dictate I reach out to you as I am in the domain you are already establishing.

By all the colors of the Rainbow,

Your brother "at times" Doctor Long.

She quirked an eyebrow at a tradition that hadn't really been popular since mages were able to come out into the open again, but decided to be polite and respond. She paged her secretary, asking her to bring some freshly squeezed fruit juice and some actual paper, then sought out her brushes. She hadn't really expected to need them this soon, but some beliefs called for the painting of holy symbols in addition to the treatment of the physical body, so she was prepared there. She composed her message while she awaited her supplies.

Quote:
Greetings, brother. I take from your words that you, too, follow the path of life. I have walked in the light of many a moon, seen the rise and fall of the seasons, the ever turning of the wheel of life, and welcome any who respect that wheel. This domain is not mine, but one that is shared, the product of many working as one to bring life where once was barren.

A warning I offer you, if never you have been in a place of change such as this. Life and spirit are undergoing vast changes as this moon is made ripe for life, and the lines of prime are drawing themselves and filling with power, so be careful in how you approach these spheres.

Standing at both the edge of the wheel and the center,

Doctor Wyrd.

Once the juice and paper arrived, she charged the remaining cells in the juice with extra Life, then carefully painted her message in elegant calligraphy. Once finished, and the paper dried, she rolled it up, tied it, and sent it to the only Dr. Long the directory pulled up who wasn't a member of her staff.

Since the Dr. Long who was on her staff was a vampire, she really doubted it was her.

It was midday before Weneg made it back to the science bay, the morning had been spent collecting soil samples and testing his survivability out in the "natural atmosphere".

He nodded and smiled to his assistant as he was heading into his lab. His assistant stood and intercepted him to hand him the documents that had been delivered that morning. Taking them with a polite bow he continued into the adjoining lab before sitting down the samples and taking a seat at his desk to being reading the letter.

He stared off for several minutes as he thought about what was mentioned in the closing of the letter. A lot of things felt strange to him as he was not the same person he had been before the curse. It would seem that consultation with a mage of this "time" would be prudent. As such he walked over to his safe and entered the codes along with the personal identification scans. Once settled back at his desk he began his reply correspondence...

A bright morn is wished to she who stands at both the edge of the wheel and the center...and an audience is requested at the earliest moment that she can spare. For as the wheel has turned it would seem that so have the colors of the spectrum shifted.

By all the colors of the Rainbow,

Your brother "at times" Doctor Long.

Again he gives the scroll of pink papyrus wrapped in ivy vine with a full bloomed pink rose attached to his assistant to deliver to Dr. Wyrd.
