jameson (ST) Posted May 28, 2011 Share Posted May 28, 2011 I saw this yesterday afternoon after getting let out of work early for the holiday weekend. Overall I would say that it proved to be a worthy sequel, if you enjoyed the first you'll probably enjoy this, and if you didn't like the first you probably won't be swayed now. The opening features another stylized sequence similar to the opener from the first, though in a different style. This one lays out the history of the new villain (voiced by Gary Oldman doing his best to make you not miss Ian McShane). The story is a little more complex, and a little darker this time. I would imagine people with little kids may find some parts a little too dark, but perhaps not; I'm not a parent, so I can't say.There are a few references back to the first but the story stands on its own quite well.
