Seven
How do you guys feel about crossing over systems and rules from one Aeonverse game to the another? I know many of you have adopted the Gadgeteering rules from Adventure!, but what about using things like the backgrounds and background enhancements, or the "power" rules from the other two games? What do you think about introducing some of the other allegiances? Jager
Any group in particular? Bwahahahahah ... We are the Cult of Dr. Zorbo.,,Personally, I use Adventure rules and abilities in my current game. I like Daredevils in particular.
Sandy Davis
Well, as far as I know adventure is more blanaced with trinity than Abbrant. So if playing either trinity or Adventrue you will have to be careful about mixing Aberant with them, but not so nuch when mixing them into abberant. As we noted a normal nova canrun threw hail of gun fire, and even most psi powers. So if if a daredevil is an npc in gam of novas,it is most likely that te nova even if in a fight would cll that preson anything more than a really skilled but dead baseline. While It may take 4-6 psi people to take down one nova.So it is not a inheritly bad idea, just a trucky one. Jager
I definitely do not recommend running an Adventure or Trinity character in an Aberrant Game. It is like running a starting Vampire in a Mage game. Initially amusing, but eventually pointless ... at least in my experience.
Hugin
I've thought about running an Adventure game that flowed into Aberrant (not Trinity, I dont' have any of the books). Not sure exactly how I would do it, but it is an intriguing notion. I do know that WW doesn't tend to make their games particularly crossover friendly, but for some reason there is a group out there obsessed with bringing Vampires into Mage into Werewolf into Wraith and such. Yeesh. Systematic nightmare.
Sandy Davis
Jager, if you have triny or Adenture chartacer in teh aberrant you must frist make it clear to the players that your not the top link on the food chain,or make them with a bunch of freebe point sand still tell them that. Sakurako Hino
Here's a dumb question:What the frell is a "Daredevil" other than a risk taker or a Marvel Superhero? Yes, I'm referring to the ADVENTURE! ones.
Seven
In Adventure! you have 3 basic types of "powered" characters (they are refered to as "The Inspired"). Stalwarts are proto-Novas with mostly physical abilities, Mesmerists are proto-Psions with mostly mental abilities and finally Daredevils don't seem to be powered at all. Their Knacks (Adventure-speak for powers) all seem to revolve around either happenstance or Human+ level of ability.Batman would be a good example of a Daredevil. He is, for all intents and purposes, human yet he is capable of some truly amazing things.
Sakurako Hino
So Daredevils represent the power of human potential, in other words?
Jager
Pretty much. I like them for that very reason. When I was talking about using Adventure in my game, I was using some of the system and the three templates for NPC's. Several Inspired can give a low-level Aberrant character a run for their money (or ruin their clothing, as the case was).On the flip side are Lemurians. Imagine a taint 8+ nova. Now imagine if it then erupts. Get the picture. They only one they met so far was driven off with a Tomahawk Missle launched from a friendly sub.
