It doesn't take long for the fighter to maneuver to the other ship's port. A docking coil extends and a probe reads the atmosphere. A few minutes later a space-suited bipedal humanoid exits a hissing airlock.

seing the info come up as the ship is docked and aftre the air lock has the Humonids in it, he will open his door the security sheild should be able to keep the two races separt.

wile speaking he is making hand motions to the crate to his ship and to the repair ship.

Greatings, I wish it could be under better conditions. I have sever damage to my Sub space jump drive it will have to be placed in a dry dock to repair. I have major power lose to the rest of my systems. I would like to try an ambical cord to try to restart my aux power reactor to get mimial system drive speeds. That creat is fruit from the Inari tree, it should be enough to cover the cost of getting this sip back to base.

The humanoid seems confused and tries responding but nothing is understandable. Finally he pulls out a data pad and pulls up some images. The simulation shows a larger ship grappling a smaller ship and towing it. The humanoid indicates the larger ship and points out the airlock. Then indicates the smaller ship and points at the deck. Then, nodding it extends both hands with the thumbs pointed upward.

Laughing he nods, and responds with his own set of images from the wall termanal of giving a gift to some one and showing someone eating then pointing to the crate, then to the humanoid.

The humanoid just nods, then points to the airlock and heads back to it. You get the impression he's going to go and tow your ship now.

start the process of landing his ship, even going as far a shutting down sections of the ships life support and diverting the power to the ships power storage systems so he can have some control on landing.

The ship is towed to a strange ring floating in space. As the various ships near, it begins to glow with a swirling blue and purple light that starts at the edges and grows until it fills the ring. Once the ring is fully lit some of the fighters enter it before the rescue ship pulling the alien vessel flies into the light.

Roll me a d10 - if you roll a 1 you experience the gate as a white void for a period of time that feels like an eternity in your confusion at what is happening. A 2-10 means you find yourself flying in and flying out the other side almost instantly and in another point in space.

Miu wasn't intimidated by the Dragon's gruff manner nor by what was said. "I do not know what past dealings you have had, but I have been charged with bringing this man into the company of the man within."

She bowed her head. "Please allow us both to pass, for there is a need for these two to meet. Lives are at stake, innocents who know nothing of what has passed before, only the suffering of the now." She kept her tone formal, yet as humble as she could.She had no desire to fight, and even less so to do it in the medbay.

The white dragon turns on Miu, "You think I do not know? You are young, so very young. Listen to your soul, it echoes deep through time, the part of you that can listen should know the screaming of creation. Many have been lost, parts that can not be recovered, broken light that can never again shine brightly. How much of your light has been lost, child of the shattered pieces? Can your soul even remember what once made it bright?"

"So much is gone and will never return, so much of balance, of life. And this one you bring, this one had the pieces of his heart before him and hid from them. He left torn one who could not be whole alone and when she lost some of her shattered self to the emptiness, she was alone because he turned from her."

"Do not speak to me of lives, innocents. All of creation is at stake here. And to have one so broken as this one here threatens us all, he is a weakness through with it can enter. He must find the piece that can make him whole before the darkness eats him from the inside."

"Look at him, he knows the truth of my words."

Indeed, Ebonardo is pale, shaking. His eyes shine with tears. "She's hurting?" was all he said.

The dragon turns his attention back to LaKindy, "Her soul cries out for you, even if she doesn't know what she has lost. And with the pieces of herself that have been consumed by the emptiness, she is less than she was. Her soul is in pain, confused. And it has been for centuries. Yours is even worse. Where once there were three, now there are only two. Where once there were many splinters, now the light is dim."

"But for this once, for the crying out of the shattered that I feel rippling through space, I will allow you passage. But it must be quick, you must find your whole. Without that, you will only be a weakness here."

Turning back to Miu, the dragon continues, "I can feel your echo close, do not turn from yours as he has from his. You will need the strength that comes with knowing your mirror." And with that the dragon fades from view.

"Thank you. I will not." She bowed her head, though the words were largely beyond her. She knew the independent meanings to be sure, but knew little of how such things applied to her. She'd heard stories of how some of her kin had lived before, and more.

She looked to Ebonardo. "Come on then, we still have people counting on us."

feeling his ship lurch foward he looks up from the termanal to see the fighters go into the ring and wonders why they don't just use there ship's drive to make the jump, checking the nava computer one more time before they go into this ring to make sure its still working on maping everything it can with in sensors.

Ebonardo helps wake Sam up and get him into a chair to be rolled to the command area. "I don't think I should go with him, Calcrix is right, there is something I need to do. Would you please take Sam to Dove?" [[and thus is Ebonardo written out for the now]]

The alien ship is pulled through the ring and out the other side. This technology is different from what the ship carries. Had the alien ship been working, its engines could have folded space and time around it to increase it's speed, traveling through a self created worm hole in space. Such compression reduced the time of transit by a factor of 50. This ring seemed to be an instantaneous transmission from one point in space to another. It was most defiantly different. But better or worse, the occupant of the ship could not tell.

once emerging from the ring, he starts the computers to checking for more damage, and looks at the nava computer to see if it can find where the ship is now

The ship does not appear to have sustained any more damage. The navigation computer still is unable to match your location. It does, however, not the solar system you have entered and posits your destination as a moon with many ships in orbit around it, the ship can not identify the type of any of the craft around the base.

Miu nodded. "I'll handle it." The dragon's words had a decidedly greater effect on Ebonardo, and Miu wrote him off for now. When he had mastered himself again she was sure he'd return.

She looked to Sam and smiled. "Come with me please Sam. Dove wishes to see you about a matter of import. We'll go through mundane means, since you just awoke."

Her voice carried a certain no-nonsense tone, and even though she smiled he could tell she wasn't taking "no" for an answer.

Sam nods, accepting before looking up at Miu. When he sees her, his brow furrows for a moment, as if he is remembering something, then he shakes off whatever thought he had. "When ever you are ready. I wish I was at least up to walking, but Calcrix assures my that if I try he'll knock me over and sit on me until I gain some sense." His smile is a bit wry, but definitely friendly.

Miu smiled, helping him into a wheelchair, and making sure he was comfortable and secure. "Sense can be overrated. Still, I'd prefer not to anger a dragon."

She took hold of the handles and began wheeling him out, hoping this would be allowed.

seeing all of this, he starts shutting down unnecessary systems to get more power shifted to the landing systems.

setting the computer to record all transmission on open chanels. I need to see if I can figure out this language

The fighters escort the rescue ship with the alien ship in tow past the orbiting ships and towards the landing pad. The landing area looks small. Another, larger areas seems to still be in the process of construction. Without too much maneuvering the ships manage to land safely, though the touch down was a bit bumpy.

Almost before the ships come to a stop, the alien vessel is surrounded by small vehicles which unload fully suited humanoids.

Miu is able to take Sam from medbay without any hindrance from anyone. She can, however, sense the presence of the dragon following them, even if she can't see him.

It doesn't take long for them to reach C&C but when they arrive, Dove is no where to be seen.

On the Bridge of the alien ship

Sensor reports on the ship suronding atmoshpere, vehicles and the fully suited humanoids

once the sensors get the info back about the out side conditions, he will set the lower deck to the same conditions so they will have access to the shuttle bay and main engering with out any special needs for the suites creatures out side, and will be setting securty proticals on the access to the port and starbard cargo bays and to the upper deck. he also will set up the station to show the non- and restrected areas of his ship.

he then sends the info from the scans of the outside conditions and creatrues to the med bay and let the med droid analyze them.

Miu looked around, searching for someone who might know something. "Pardon me, is there anyone who can tell me where I can find Dove? I need to speak with her immediately."

The ship now in dock is quickly set up with a plastic tunnel leading from it to the large dome its parked beside. The suited humaniods seem to have instruments they are running tests with. Soon a broadcast comes to the ship of an image, a humanoid walking through the tunnel and into the building.

A random technician turns to see Miu and the wheel chaired Sam, "Ah, I'm not sure, she left. She didn't say where she was going but she went with that pink haired engineer. Something about talking about something. I think she'll be back?"

Miu looked to Sam and sighed. This was getting them nowhere.

"We can try to find her, or wait here. I have a few options, I just prefer not to do things that will get us in trouble. Are you feeling up to looking for her, or not?"

Sam opened his mouth to reply when he was forestalled by the Commander in question storming through the door. Her mood was obviously dark and distressed. She looked up to see the two of them not far from the door. "Ah, good, you're here. There's soft space, we have to deal with it. And the unknown alien ship in distress in the middle of it. Not to mention the darkness that just at who knows how many of our fighters and the transport you were on."

Sam nodded, "Okay, but what's really on your mind?"

The look Dove shot him would have killed a lesser man, "Not now, now we deal with what's in front of us."

Sam swallowed whatever retort he had and nodded, turning back towards the main screen. "Okay, show me."

Miu notices a flicker of white as it headed past Dove in the direction she just came from. Seems the dragon wasn't as content as Sam at the Commander's response.

Miu looked at Dove, and shook her head. "I believe there's something else that needs addressing. She indicated where the flicker of head had been with her eyes, and nodded.

"I realize there is another large crisis going on, and I'll do anything I can to aid in its resolution as well, but if there's something else that should be said or done first, then please see it done."

Dove looked at Miu, momentarily startled to see her there. Shaking her head, "No, it's nothing that can be helped right now. Doing more would likely make it worse. Let's do what we can and I'll deal with the other later."

[Justin OOC]

"Very well." She looked at Dove and nodded. "How can Sam and I help?" Since they'd come, they might as well help.

[LydaLynn]

Dove looks down at Sam and his apparent uber concentration. She glances at the screen and sighs, "I didn't want you to do anything, you're gonna burn out!"

Sam waves a hand idly, "s'fine," and proceeds to ignore her.

Looking at Miu again, "He doesn't want to admit his limits, but after this he will need some serious rest. Do you have anything pressing you need to do for the next few days or are you available for hire? I can work on something permanent, but for now I need someone who can wheel him around, see he gets his sleep, and won't be intimidated by Calcrix. Job comes with a private room, full meal pass and credits, I'll have to figure out how much tomorrow."

Miu nodded. "If it helps others, I accept." It would make her slightly more independent, which would be nice, and if nothing else, it would give her something to do.

She looked at Sam. "Is that going to be alright with you?" He would be her charge, and still she would do her best to see him comfortable.

She wasn't a negotiator, and had decided to trust Dove in this.

Sam doesn't seem to hear Miu, but he's glowing a faint purple, which wouldn't be visible in a room with more lighting, but in the dim lights of C&C it is somewhat perceptible. After a few moments of everyone watching the screen, the ships seem to have the alien vessel in tow and jump through the gate. [[yes, this goes backwards in the story for batsibf - but we'll catch up soon enough]]

As soon as the fighters and their escort enter the gate, Sam seems to collapse in on himself.

Dove takes a quick pulse then nods to Miu, "He's sleeping. Here's his key card, it will get you into his rooms. I'll have security waiting for you there to help get him into the bed and give you a key to your room. I'll get something as close to his as I can. For now let him sleep. I'll be calling a Command meeting in the morning, let him sleep until he needs to get up for that, make sure he eats. After that you should have some down time while we meet. We'll go from there tomorrow."

She nodded, taking the keys and securing them. "I'll watch over him. Let me know if there's anything else I can do."

Finished there, she wheeled Sam out, heading for his rooms, confident she could handle this task. Whatever had happened, she knew Sam had been a crucial factor in it. Maybe if he was feeling better later, she'd try to get him to explain it, as her curiosity once again reared its head.

once seeing the tranmission and the tunnel is in the wrong spot, and the data from the external atmosphere. changing the shuttle bay atmosphere to the same as the extrenal. transmit back on the same frequency, a picture of the ship with a ramp to the shuttle bay.

then open the shuttle bay doors. the transmit full lingual data base and leave channel open

The crews work quickly to get the tunnel moved. After a few minutes a transmission comes through, "Computer still processing lingual data, please exit ship. Medical will be waiting. Quarantine necessary for time. Will communicate more as possible."

Transferring info needed for the engine repairs to a data pad, then transmits racial medical files. Then setting up I security protocols on shuttle bay so only he can open the inner doors. Getting a evo suit, not knowing how these atmo will effect me. Then heading out the shuttle bay.

Charged now with Sam's care, she made her way pushing his chair to his quarters, where she used the key to get in, and set about laying him on his bed. "Rest well and know that you helped alot of people today."

Unsure of what to do, especially after his display in the control room, Miu took in the room, hoping to learn some more about him.

The alien eventually made his way, in full enviro suit, into the base and the quarantine set up for him. Most of the rest of this day is spent in struggled communication as computers churned away on the information sent.

Miu finds that Sam's rooms are fairly empty, a few boxes in one corner is likely his personal possessions waiting to be unpacked.
