I think that anyone I am sent into combat against knows the dangers of their profession as well as I, Dreamer, whether it is soldier or Elite. I save lives when I'm hired as bodyguard, sometimes just as a deterrent if nothing else. I save the life of a fellow Elite if I'm sent there as team defense if my fields can hold back enemy fire or numbers.

Money is a nice benefit, but I don't work as an Elite for the paycheck alone. I like the thrill of combat, the moments of glory and triumph that Very Bad used to talk about. All that talk about the time of Hector and Achilles does resonate with some us, and I'm not bullshitting when I say part of that calls to me. I'm aware that there's a good chance that I'll get crippled or killed doing it, and I don't care.

I've no illusions about making the world a better place, Dreamer. I do what I do because I enjoy being a warrior. If all I cared about was money, I could survive comfortably as a private practitioner of medicine. If I cared nothing about how people's lives were ended, I'd be a hit-woman instead of a warrior.

And I'll be fucked if I'm going to listen to you lecture me about my decisions. I'm a grown woman and the consequences are mine to live with.

Now, let's get to the why I asked you those things. I was going to offer you a job. I see your talents, and I would be greatly pleased in knowing that one of your talents would be working for me. Or should I say the company that I so happen to the majority shareholder.

I could offer you a mid range salary in the seven digit range, with great medical, dentail, hell, the whole gambit of benefits. Including housing, tax shelters, and an expense account among other things.

As for the thrill, I do not think this job would have as many, as your currant career. I do hope that lack of life and death encounters would be more than compensated by stable pay and a light work schedule.

Barons INC. It is mainly a shipping and farming company, with many diverse holdings,and assets including me. I do personal meetings with VIPs, some of them are hostile(Do to mainly to the fact I am dealing business in away that is not profitable to them, or they were some how thinking I should have helped them in away that I could not.) or at least in hostile areas.

On top my needs witch are rare and light, other people in the company travel to areas that are not always under stable governments. IE Africa, Eastern Europe, The Middle East and South America.
