[OpNet] My Opnet Debut

Augment

Recommended Posts

May I just welcome both of you to the busiest and most entertaining corner of the Opnet. Well usually it's busy but judging by the lack of posts over the past few days most seem to currently be running around buying the kind of pointless tatt one feels obliged to buy for others at this time of year wink

Iron Rose you said you were curious about other Novas, if there's anything you want to know then fire away, some poster or other here should be able to answer your questions.

My sister and I haven't actually met any other novas in person so that explains my curiosity. as to your comment about being a metal nova, I'm only that way part of the time. It's kinda weird, all my senses change slightly, I've learned very quickly not to use my metal form inside buildings... most floors can't handle a large increase in weight suddenly..

A pleasure to meet you both.

I almost feel like an exception to the rule around here; I don't have any nova relatives - my sisters are as baseline as they come, with no latent potential (according to tests, anyway).

Must be nice to have another nova around who can relate to you. Unless the psychic link is too much of a pain.

Iron Rose- I understand. My metal form is permanent. Luckily most places where I live are 1 story tall and those that aren't are made of steel and concrete which can support my weight. I am lucky enough to have worked construction and with my Nova abilities I can usually find where the strongest parts of the floor are. I think you'll find, in time, you can do the same. Just be carefull where you 'suit' up.

I came here to meet Novas too. Actually that's probably why most of us are here.

So, again, if you need help by all means ask. I can definitley help with being 'metal'

Iron Rose,

Something just occoured to me.

With your abilities, you would be of a great help to certain Oceanographers, and Geologists on the ocean floor, possibly moreso than I because you actually would know what you're talking about.

I'm like. "Hey look, more rock!, and different colored rock over there!"

Since our parents passed we've had a har time playing catch up in the business world. It's pretty new to both of us. I guess it's a little closer to what I was training for though then what Rianna was.

I pretty much test the systems now and she heads up the design teams.

Iron Rose & Potentia,

It occours to me that group of us are going to take a tour of the Marianas trench in the very near future.

If you are interested in joining us, ask Endevour about it. She has this sub, the Hikari Maru II, which is proabably one of the more impressive boats I've heard about, but it seems to me that the two of you would be able to survive the rigors of deep sea diving.

Now, I'm no genius of any sort, but isn't that a bit deep. I don't know the extent of my abilities, and I think that's a bit of a harsh way to learn. My energy form might be able to take it, but I'm not certain. It's possible my other form might was well, but I don't know if I can breathe down there or not. Though I could be a handy lightbulb.

That's cool. Tell you what, why don't you and your sister stop by Chicago sometime soon and meet the gang here. If nothing else, we might be able to assist you in getting a leg up in the security game. A lot of talent is coalescing here, and helping one another is what we should be about.

I could have sworn you boasted that the Hikari Maru II was capable of handling the stresses of that particular dive.

Okay that makes some sense, I was missing that little tid-bit of information.

Well as far as I know the current group currently stands at: You, Tarot, and myself.

I have asked others if they wish to join us, as I expected neither you nor Tarot to venture outside the boat. I think Conduit, Potentia, and Iron Rose could withstand the pressure, as Conduit and Iron Rose and I are built similarly, Potentia has an energy form and therefore shouldn't be subject to changes in pressure, but then again as water hinders radio wavelengths she may be also hindered, I also don't know if in energy form she requires air to survive.

Worst case scenario, I'll be there to repair your boat, or get it to the surface in a hurry, I feel that the more the merrier when it comes to a potentially dangerous undertaking like this one.

Welcome Iron Rose and Potentia, I hope you enjoy yourselves on here.

Count me in on the Dive as well Typhoon, I may not be metallic like the rest of you, but I know I can survive the depths. I've been meaning to see what happens wehen you pass the speed of sound underwater....

Well before I errupted I had a fair degree of smarts, and little in the physical side, my erruption pretty much reversed that one, Now I can punt a Buick a few blocks. My erruption did provide with several new abilities to study. I didn't realize we could use gravity or magnetism in the ways I do now. Is there a set date you all plan to do this dive? I need to make sure I'm free for it.

Ain't being a nova grand?
It can be like waking up and saying "Wow, why didn't I see this before?"

Have fun.

Yeah, we're gonna bring about twelve-hundred drums of toxic waste and leave them down there, for no reason than just to do it... just kidding!

Other than the odd Nova peeing in the water it shouldn't be too damaging to the eco-system, Of course I am one of those that is working on ocean clean-up, so I tend to try to be eco-friendly.

I'm excited now, this whole trip sounds like it's going to be really fun. I can't wait to meet all of you as well. I've got a few more items on the agenda and I'll be free for a few days...

Thanks for the invite to Chicago Jager, I'm sure my sister and I will take you up on it in the near future, running this company isn't the easiest thing and we're only just now catching up everything, soon we should be on to several new projects.

It'll be fun to have you along, unfortunatly sound travels faster in water (over twice as fast!) So I don't think anyone will be breaking the sound barrier underwater anytime soon, Although it gives me something to strive for.

And don't worry all you eco-friendly Novas I'd do it well away from any habitats.
