Access
Well, this is kind of coming off of the discussion with Leo, and the When you grow up thread. When I was young I always wanted to be able to fly, now it's one of the things I can't do now, and really I don't have much desire to do so now, it's just so indirect, but I guess being able to see where you're going has it's advantages as well.I guess when I erupted I just wanted to play my MMORPG so greatly that it effected my powers the way it did.Anyway, did any of you dream of super powers when you were young, and if you did, how do they compare to what you can do now? Neil Preston
Bandwidth, it really can't compare. Hell, I've brought a dead man back to life. How does one relate anything like that to a non-nova?
Tarot
Bandwidth:Nothing like it. Nothing like it at all.
Sakurako Hino
Well, at one time I wanted to be a stage magician. That was before I wanted to be a writer.I guess I shot lower than most people. >_<
BlackStar
When I was little I dream of being fast as the DC Comics character, The Flash. Man, sometimes reality has a way of making the fiction seems so weak.
Amped
The Flash is overrated, know what I mean?
Jager
The man runs THROUGH TIME incase you missed it, Amped. Read back into the earl- mid-eighties stuff.
BlackStar
Jager answered for me. I was talking about the second Flash, Barry Allen.
kestrel404
When I was a kid...I wanted everything. I pictured myself with every power from every comic book I ever read. My favorites were teleportation and magic.Did I get what I wished for? Teleportation: no. Jury's still out on the other one.
Sakurako Hino
Oh crap.. this is about daydreaming, right?...I did that too much as a kid.Let's put it like this. I wanted a Giant Robot. Just to put all of the bullies in place.
Long
I remember being picked on because I was the nerd, always had my head in the books. I loved computers and the video games. I've always wondered why my erruption didn't give me those kind of powers. I mean being able to obliterate a city and manipulate time is nice, as is not bein hurt my anything short of low yield nukes, but I paid a heavy damn price for it all. I didn't ever want anyone to mess with me again and the abberations I have see to that. "Ryu are we gonna die?" "Probably."
Jager
Gotta love this description. Really.,,Quote:Originally posted by Long: I mean being able to obliterate a city and manipulate time is nice, as is not bein hurt my anything short of low yield nukes, ... It does beg a few questions:1)How do you know you have the ability to obliterate a city? Are we missing a city? And ...2)How do you know it takes something as extreme as a low-yield nuke to cause you pain?I find it difficult to believe that someone has popped off a Davie Crockett and next to no one noticed.Marketing play, maybe? Access
Makes me wonder what the Caestus Bald would if somebody leveled an entire city.

Long
1. No we aren't missing a city, just a figure of speech, though there is a large area in desert that's nice and glass now.2.I've shrugged off everything under low yield tomahawks so far, and that thing did a good number on me. The smaller stuff doesn't faze me. I'm sure Pax would have alot to say about a city disappearing especially considering how bad he cracked on us when 2 blocks got flattened. (not completely my bad there.)"Ryu, are we gonna die?" "Probably."
Access
Alchemist, between me, you, and Endeavor, I'm sure we can crack out some giant robot.

Sakurako Hino
Now now, I'm not sure how such an interface would affect your psyche.Although, I could operate it via my own abilities. Either that or some sort of motion-trace system with an anti-g array that allows the pilot to keep righted and in place as the mech moves.
Juri 'Salamander' McClendon
You all got the power of the cosmos in your hands and you're getting buttery between the legs over building a mecha? It's not enough to have powers but you got to have an anime suit of armor to boot, I guess.Hino-san, remind how old are you again?
Tarot
Juri:Buttery between the legs? There's something deeply disturbing yet strangely erotic about that.Endeavor, Amped and Bandwidth:Okay. I know I'm the new guy but I can't be the only one thinking this:Assume you've built this 50-foot beheamoth, or 5000-foot since Endeavor's involved, what exactly do you think you're going to do with it. How far can penis envy really take you even with quantum?
Machina
Well, Bandwidth, when I was a kid, I wanted to be a soldier, a police officer and then a federal agent.I've been all three, and now I've got to figure out what I'm going to do with the rest of my fucking life.As for your giant robot, once you, Alchemist and Sailor Jizz Dumpster have got your shit together, feel free to bring it over and we'll play a little rock'em sock'em. All I've got to do is put a new coat of wax on the one I've got and we'll be set.
Sakurako Hino
What? You telling me you got a mecha somewhere and S&T hasn't kicked down your door with their jackboot? You either got something rather grey-tech, or you're really good at hiding stuff.Heh, and to think I was only playing along. I didn't know you guys were serious.
Machina
I haven't done anything with it, Pinky. That's how I've dodge the R&D wolves so far. I'm sure that once I bring her out of the garage, I'll have Pax buried up my ass so far you'll be able to see the shine of his skull reflecting from behind my teeth. And it has nothing to do with hiding or grey technology. The Project lets it slide because we have an agreement.
