So Dark Tooth...when you say "you" you refer to Globalism, or is it just the crappy Manifest Destiny thing that American culture seems to be imposing these days?

Btw is it OK if we continue this conversation in English (since you have before) for the sake of the rest of the board? Hopefully the rest the locals haven't watched enough exotic pornography to pick up a few extra languages here and there. (Not a cultural stab I assure you...just a very sad, sad fact on how I learned the language.)

(Btw I loved you in MitS. Kick ass stuff.)

They are lyrics from a song....

i don't need to be a global citizen because i'm blessed by nationality i'm member of a growing populace we enforce our popularity there are things that seem to pull us under and there are things that drag us down but there's a power and a vital presence thats lurking all around we've got the american jesus see him on the interstate we've got the american jesus.

Oh, Preston you really should try living in east Berlin, it will give you a whole new look on our great nation. But really I would hope people would see that this was a joke. But people are people, and for some reason my jokes are rarely laughed at, when I am not there in person.

Well, wile the beet and sausages in the states are so good. I will have to stick with my guns about the taxes and less laws dealing my lively hood.

And Jager, you may call it eastern Berlin, I call it East Berlin, for there is a wall still standing.Just one that is harder to see.

Dunkelzahn, too often the walls you are refering to are the walls people put up themselves.

Waiting for someone to pick them up, instead of picking themselves up.

Waiting for someone else to take the blame for where they are in life.

Putting one's faith in one's self breaks down all kinds of walls. Not all of them, but everyone should start somewhere.

Yes, because the poor are poor because they want to be.Go out and pull yourself up by your boot straps.Ask not what the rich can do for you, but what you can do for the rich....

By the way, I did work my way out of the place I was born, and wile it was "good" for my area, I was still held back do to my birth place, but hey it is my grand father's fault for buying a house in East side of Berlin in the 30's.

You had a harder row to hoe ...

You had to try harder than anyone else ...

And?

Life isn't fair.

The poor do not deserve to be poor.

The rich do not deserve to be rich.

They are and that's that. What you do with the cards your dealt is what matters.

Your family stayed in East Berlin when others left. It was their choice. Some who tried to leave died. Most made it.

Making the rich poor doesn't make the poor rich. It just makes more poor people. Get over it.
