Wakinyan
So aside from the Amp room and Starlords what are happening places that Novas hang out in these days? As I am gonna try to get out more I am trying to make a checklist of places to see while I am on the trip. So far I also have Hawai, Japan, India and Adis Ababa on the listSuggestions? Singularity
I have no idea, Totem. When I was the carousing type, I prefered Ibiza, Bollywood, and occasionally New York.
Wakinyan
Honestly I feel like such a Nova Nerd. I have never got out and partied as a Nova. It seems a bit decadent to me but I should at least experience it and judge from first hand knowledge. Hope they have enough room for me to dance! Alex Craft
I'm afraid I can't be much help either, Totem. I only just recently came back into circulation after a couple of years laying low, and I've been doing hard time in the lab ever since then. Any place I could suggest is probably long dead. /c:
Jager
There are a handful of clubs that are "invite only". You need another nova to vouch for you, and that means you need to get out a little more. You have been a nova for how long?
Wakinyan
Uhm well I am going on a year in a little over a month. But I will get out there and see what happens.

Scratch Japan off your list. Unless you want plush animals made of you, 50 volume mangas written of you, and people swarming all over you like you were the reincarnation of the Beatles.Addendum: Of course, I know areas where you can and will be treated with respect and not as an idol of worship. I've noticed the more "backwater" or agrarian parts of Japan (and there still are) are quite less... bothersome. And the views are nothing short of spectacular. Vox Via
Denver has a wonderful place.A large building is 30 miles north of the city.It is rather small slice of heaven up on earth. It is not a club, nor is it anyone thing. It is not a "hot" spot" nor is it like anything you have ever seen.It has the worlds largest indoor pool. But other than that it is eyes only. I would be honored to have you their someday, but it is not mine.To be truthful the only land I own is a land that you could not go to.
ronin
Blackburne Hotel, Totem. New York City. Enjoy the company. If you're feeling particularly adventurous, I could name a few spots that only guys like us have access to. You know; grounded novas lacking great fortitude need not apply. Wakinyan
I am curious anyplace recommended I am likely to hit at some point. Never heard of the Blackburn, I'll check it out.
ronin
It's a novas-only border and club. Your girl used to haunt it, back in the day.
DigiGeist
First Avenue in Minneapolis. Nova and Baseline friendly. AND IT ROCKS YOUR FRUGGING SKULL!!!All the big bands come through. At least before they're big enough for the Target Center.Good times, good times.Oh, and the Sculpture Gardens sometimes have classical music performed by small local groups. If you're into more calmer forms of entertainment. That and the Guthrie Theater.

Hugin
Quote:Originally posted by Sakurako Hino: Scratch Japan off your list. Now, I must say I am extremely offended that you would try to keep Totem out of Japan, Ms. Hino. While I completely understand that it is not the preeminent Novas only locale I am quite proud of New Ground and it being in Tokyo you have effectively told Totem and his party to stay out. Have you ever even been in to visit?
Ian 'Very Bad' Blakely
There is a nice resturaunt in Chicago, IL. Called George's I believe. Nova only, run by a nova chef. Only six tables and reservation only. Takes some serious, and I mean serious, coin to eat there. And worth every penny, even to my heathen palate. It's a small place, no public entrance and stuck in one of the high-rises there, so I'm not sure if your giant feathery ass could get in, but it'd be worth the effort. Sakurako Hino
Prodigy, did you even read my entire post?I reccomended the more "country" parts of Japan. You see, I think Totem's had enough of people treating him like some sort of worship idol.I was raised around it, so I can deal with it. I don't know if Totem is willing to deal with the goofy salary-men and their want of trinkets for their Otaku daughters who think Totem is more Kawaii than Hello Kitty.I'm doing him a favor and giving him my reccomendation.Besides, I did offer a pad to crash on when he passes through. And, I have to admit I was a little angry when I posted that "thumbs down". Wakinyan
My giant featherrd ass is nothing to scoff at thank you! I might try that place out VB sounds interesting. What do you think Neil? No worry Sakurako. I do plan on seeing Japan in all of it's glory. I had a lot of fun soaring between the skyscrapers in Chicago I can imagne it will be eaqually as exilerating to do so in the neon glare of Tokyo. I do accept your offer Prodigy. It might take me awhile to get there since we are likely to island hop our way across the pacific.

Neil Preston
Buddy, I will put in the call, and man he wasn't kidding when he said "EXPENSIVE".Archon & April, are you going to be with us in Chicago?I will make no comment on the feathered hiney! The Blackburn isn't bad, either. The first place a nova ever bought me a condolance drink (for Preston being my Dad). The atmosphere is ... interesting.

DigiGeist
Archon, they'll be coming to Minneapolis, too. Hell, I'll hook them up by letting them stay. And yes, Totem, my studio apartment is big enough even for you. It's in the warehouse district a little west of the main parts of Downtown. I have the WHOLE warehouse divided up into several sections. I'm sure one of them could be Totem's temporary roost. We'll have quite the time. April Rice
Sure will Neil! ... after all, I live here. Are you two flying straight here? I was going to meet you in South Dakota, but if you're coming to town I might as well just wait for you to show up.I think I know the place Mr. Blakely's talking about; my parents took me there on my high school graduation. (Or I guess they did. I don't think there's more than one place like that around here.) Really good and yeah: really expensive. I can afford it, though. Neil Preston
Archon, first meal is on me. Some day, no doubt, you will be able to do something for me. I'm a healer, so I don't fly or any of that other neat stuff. I have learned to "over-stimulate" people, but that's about yet. Also, an Elite willed me one million dollars and a complete collection of Playboys. I think he would enjoy the thought of blowing a huge wad of it on a good meal. He lived large.April, Very Bad says its a novas-only place, so I'm not sure any of us have been there.Wow, I'm going to be hanging out in a crowd were I am the oldest person (both erupted and non-erupted). What have I done wrong?
Archon
alright alright...i'll stop bitching, and just accept the fact that i'm going to have to mooch.Geist, i'll be flying out tonight...so you need to keep an eye on the sky...aww god that was corny...like some Pre-Nday PBS astronomy show or something. Wakinyan
We'll meet you there tomorrow night at around 8ish April. From there we are heading west I have to be in Utah by the 8th for a personal reason. Keep in mind I don't fly faster than sound so don't expect this to be a zip along tour. April Rice
[ooc: mus' be going blind]Gotcha, Totem. I'll see you all around then. Since I obviously had the restaurant wrong (misread - my bad), I'll just meet you in the air somewhere over the Loop, k? I'll PM all three of you my cell no., in case we miss each other. Wakinyan
Why not we just meet on the Sears Tower at about 30 minutes till the reservation and go from there? Easier than looking for each other over the beltway.
April Rice
On the Sears Tower? That has to be crazy illegal ... but ok - see you there!
Jager
Oh, there is illegal, and then their is illegal. Don't sweat it, April. Cops got better things to do than write up flying novas for not following a designated flight plan, or landing on private property.

Metropolis
You wanna know where a good place to kick it is, that's anywhere that Big Poppa Metropolis hangs his hat. You oughta go to a city that is live. You just find out where this big Black motha fucka props his cock. I'm gonna start buildin ebony towers in every city that's got it goin on. Where all the quantum freaks can kick it old school, where those who walk with the Teras can represent. Otherwise, right now, Tokyo. That's where I'm at. They've got that giant node, keeps me around. Ya'll can come kick it Godzilla style with the living city Big Poppa Metropolis, if you want.

Wakinyan
I am looking very forward to meeting you Prodigy. I do plan on stopping by.
