[OpNet] Apologies For Being Away

I'm sorry the party didn't eventuate, boys and girls, but blame those idiots at PU. They decided to bust a little cult of mine. Yours truly managed to swim away.

Well, I'm back.

Hey Charr! Come pay a visit some time. After all, we water-breathers have to stick together.

As for the rest of you poor deluded novas, I run a little playground for you to truly discover what it is to be a nova. Come pay a visit, but please, don't bring the Yoopies. I'd hate to have to kill any of them.

Got side tracked on a social experiment with a zip apologist named Preston but that's done. Soon I'll bag the twisted little shit that thinks preying on us comes free of charge.

After I've heard his confession I may have time.

I like swimming too.

But I like Utopia.

Can I still visit?

Be my guest. I have a fine selection of man-meat for your discerning tastes.

Come on Lemmy. It only takes the appearence of one man-hungry meat-eating nova before another enterprising soul puts Man-Meat on the Menu.

It does things to the heart to see another nova being so open, tolerant, and ...

I think I just lost that feeling.

Non-sentient animals are mostly meat. It might be okay to eat people if the meat was all that was taken, but conventional modes of ingestion are excessively wasteful. Minds are dispersed too lightly, it is asserted.

Note: Once an individual is dead, there is only meat left. Ethical considerations decrease by orders of magnitude, perhaps. Thus, eating is merely a (relatively) trivial embellishment of murder, as generally referenced in this venue.

Conclusion: Ethically concerned cannibals might consider abstaining from hunting and taking up necrophagy. Dead people are abundant and likely no less nutritious.

...

If freshness is a concern, consider the distinction between raw milk and fine cheese.

...

The above comment is not endorsed by all Relevant Parties.

Well, I guess someone had to ask that question. To a degree, that is an ethical decision that each of us have to ask.

Glad I'm not a bird or cat.

Pulse, Elites kill human and novas, for things they do not need. Eating the flesh of a human is no less barbaric than killing one. After all once someone is dead, they are just a mass of flesh.

These novas do not think of themsleves as human. They think humans are below them, and such they are not eating dead kin, but rather they are eating meat. I do not agree with this, but I also do not think you should eat pigs.

Yes. Elites, as paid mercs, are easy targets. What seems to be forgotten is that the world asked for novas to become elites, novas didn't force the profession upon the world.

I don't think there is enough server space to adequately answer that question.

It is humbly suggested that, to some, it might seem unfair to thusly distance Novas from moral connection with the Elite phenomenon. (Possible negative moral implications of Elite status are not addressed or implied by this statement.)

The following is probably not relevant and is easily disregarded for all rhetorical purposes:

If offered remuneration of any sort for dispersing others without personal ethical consideration, the response would be negative.

...

However, if the response would be positive, the threshold between accepting and seeking such a position, it is hypothesized, would be minimal.

...

Summarization: That the Elite phenomenon is successful at all suggests that both employer and employee predisposition is present.

Confirmation/Rejection of this hypothesis might be aided by Elites answering the following questions:

How difficult was it to select the Elite career path?

If you had not become an elite, what would you have done?

The decision to become an elite was presented as my best option, after a thorough explanation of my abilities was rendered, it was easy to see how, with porper training,I could put them to use in battle with very satisfactory results. There wasn't another option for me until I was almost a decade older.
