[OpNet] Goodbye

Farewell, everyone. It's been good meeting some of you, speaking with others of you. A lot of changes are happening in my life right now, and I need to put some serious thought into what happens next. But I'm not going to sit here and be called a racist or a bigot, or be told that I'm attacking someone when I'm obviously not. I understand that a lot of you disagree with me. It would be enough for you to just say that. I don't know why you feel I must be belittled or outright put through a moral grinder for this.

I might be back after a while when things are sorted out. But I doubt it. This is just an OpNet site, and life goes on beyond it.

Farewell. You will be missed. While I do disagree with you on several points I hope that I am not a contributor to your leaving. I know in the past I have let my civility slip and speak to you more harshly than you deserved and for that I apologize.

Should you be in Tokyo, please stop by and have a cup on the house.

Oh dear. I hope you are not leaving over my interpretations of the argument. I was trying to calm down an argument which had turned heated. If I contributed in your decision to leave, I appologize.

Farewell, and good luck in whatever you choose to do in the future.

That's exactly it. Rude behavior is limited and rare here, C.

Still, religion, philosophy, and politics can all bring out the worst in us, as you are probably very aware of.

Still, the "I'm taking my marbles and going home" attitude is upsetting.

Or,

if you go to a pie-eating contest, you can expect to get pie on your face.

I tend to keep my personal philosophies to myself. I don't really want or care for the world to examine them. But, if I put them out there in a public interview, I would expect both supporters and detractors. It happens.

As far as I can tell, V was coming out 50/50 in the end. That's not bad. I didn't feel the personal need to join in, as the debate was pretty lively. Now, someone is leaving.

In life we will come to place in witch the world will no longer act the way we want it to.I do not care what she said, and I do not find any of what she said ground breaking. It may have been ground breaking, had it not been said by basically countless faith systems made by base line humans.
