April Rice
Hi! I'm new here, so I figured I'd kind of introduce myself.I just erupted about a week and a half ago, and I'm still getting used to being a nova. That's why I started looking for places like this, really. The people at the Rashoud Facility have been great, but most of the novas there don't really have time to stop and talk with all the new novas. It just seems like talking with actual novas would be more useful than all the workshops and stuff the Facility offers.Anyway, my name is April, I'll be turning 20 this June, and I'm studying architecture at the Pratt Institute in NYC. I'm not there right now, though. I just finished my sophmore year, and now I'm home in Chicago. In fact, that's when I erupted. I had a bad car crash driving home from school; there was a storm going in the mountains, and I lost control of the car.
Jager
Hi, yourself, April. So, what do you want to talk about?

H. 'Machine' Mann
Welcome Ms Rice. Will you continue your efforts in architechture or are there other endeavors calling you now?
April Rice
What can you do?I knew I was forgetting something ... Almost everything I can do is a kind of telekinesis - I can also move really fast, but I don't think that's related, right?Mostly, my telekinesis isn't very strong; I can 'only' lift about half a ton. (I'm impressed, but the Facility people tell me that I'll probably be able to do much more than that, once I've gotten some training.) I can also make these bubbles around myself with telekinesis - like a force field. That's what kept me alive in the crash. But, y'know, the best part is, I can fly. I know that doesn't sound too special - for a nova, at least - but it's the greatest thing ever. I'm not sure how high or fast I can go (the Facility people say they'll clock me sometime, but apparently they need to reserve some equipment or something). I caught up with a private jet once, but I wasn't really going my fastest.I can also turn my powers off, but I don't know if that really counts as a power. I feel kind of slow when I do, and I can't fly, but I think my folks feel a little uncomfortable when I'm not 'dormant.'I have no idea what I'm going to do now, Mr. Mann. I guess I'd like to go on studying at Pratt, but it seems like things may have changed now. I mean, I have superpowers now. Seems like I should be doing something different, y'know? Not go out and fight crime or something like that, but something. I don't know.Anyway, I don't really have any questions or anything. If I come up with something, I'll definitely ask, but right now I really just want to participate and get used to everything.
April Rice
Wow. Seriously.I just ran a net search to figure out how fast an average private jet can go. I looks like I would have had to be going at least 450-500 mph to catch up. That's really fast. I had no idea I was going that fast.
Sakurako Hino
Hey, that's about as fast as I can fly! Congratualtions!Just be sure to wear goggles and something to cover the face. Getting bugs in your grill ain't fun. >.<
April Rice
I found that out the hard way. But I figured out I can just make a bubble and it'll keep out all the bugs, wind, etc.

Great Monster C
I envy you very much Ms. Rice. I'd love to have developed powers that I could simply enjoy without worrying about breakable objects, like buildings. Welcome to the club.

Sorry, I'm allergic to Eufiber. >.< Not badly, but it is irritating.Dont' worry, I just have a simple "flight suit" I slip on over everything.I guess there is a reason why a Nova'd wear a cape after all...
