[OpNet] A little technical help?

A voice activated system is probably the best, if you can afford it. An alternative is a HUD display with finger keys. The sensors attach to the bottom of the top digit, so claws shouldn't be a problem. Beyond that, what is the tensil strength and fracture capacity of your claws? The usual process of increasing the density of the keys may not suffice for you.

I fouind 'Viasoft Voice Command' onsale online and ordered a copy. My voice doesn'tt really sound that human anytmore though, I hope it works.

Either way I figurred would be pricey at least this way I am not breaking anything and it doesn't take me 10 minutes to type two sentences.

Totem, I happen to have a spare heavy duty keyboard from Solar Solutions. Mr. Rossi's company does excellent work and all of the tech at NewGround comes from there. I would be more than happy to assist a Nova in need. PM me your address and I shall have it sent to you. This particular model is bullet-proof, fire-proof and shock-proof, I hope it will serve you well.

  • 2 weeks later...

You know, I have another solution. It's sort a silly, but it'll be lighter, and probably more whimsical.

2 options I thought of are:

a: An inflatable keyboard. Large enough for the fingers and having a variable valve system for keeping the pressure even. It'd be like typing with an airbag system that always stays inflated. The keys would be touch sensitive.

b: An impact gel keyboard. Same layout as above, but using gel-filled cells, not air.

I actually use a modified version of option A in a little experimental interface I have on a small boat I store on the HMII. Just incase I accidentally knock the free-tethered keyboard into the drink, it's waterproofed and it floats.

Hmmm, now that I think of it I could design a Laptop around the same principal... and it'd be more comfortable on the legs...

James, he's a fourteen foot tall griffinoid. I can only imagine the weirdness.

On the otherhand, I once beat Corsair into unconciousness with one of your keyboards (I was using a friend's), and it had nary a dent. I'm no slouch, and Corsair's bones are Chromium Steel.

Hmm, I'd have to use the Gel one then. I honestly didn't know you had claws.

The Gel is an impact polymer that is on the open market. Forget the name though. Anyways, it can easily transfer kinetic energies, and makes it hard to puncture. It'd last a few years before a replacement would be necessary.

Yeah that might do the trick.

My claws are are all over a foot long and cut through just about anything I have ever tried to cut. Well... I am sure you can see all about my wonderous body after Monday since it will be record for all time.

I just hope I don't freak out.

And yes typing can be awkward while I am not punching holes through this one it still takes time to click each key since it is so small. If you could make a X2 oversized version of a standard keyboard that'd be nice.

While I haven't really looked into it as I have no need for this type of software, I am suprised that no one has developed a recognition program capable of handling...unusual voice patterns. It seems like an oversight to me. Maybe one of the technically minded people here could look into that for you?

James, ask yourself this, what could I gain from harming him? What could I gain from helping him?If the reasonable gain from helping him is greater than the reasonable gain from harming him, why would I harm him?

As for changed. Everything changes.Ture this young man has changed more than he used to, but what I offer him will not change anything but the way he see computers.

12 year, 11 months, ten days, and a handful of hours.

But, then you should look up my pen name Di Doors.I think you will like my papers on the changes of religion, faith and novas. Many focus on the reemergence of the power of females in religions. I like that.

I prefer Persephone Lacaris. Her research in Near Eastern Religions is better, in my opinion. Di Doors panders to more radical femanism, while Lacaris takes a more nuetral approach.

In Western Society, conflict in the sexes is the exception, not the norm. Doors' writing makes it out to be more of a misogynistic crusade and an underlying current in Western morality.

I imagine you have your fans, but I don't count it among the strongest examinations of modern history. A best, an early attempt at psycho-history.

Let me see ... divorce, seperated from both male and female offspring. Makes sense.

Jager, if the divorce had went that way you would be right.I filed the papers, and made sure he had the children. At the time I was in no mood to have children preventing me from doing what I had to do. Further more, I was protecting them form things they didn't need to know. The world is a scary place, filled with people like you and me, Jager.

And you knew this right after your eruption ...

Yeah, right.

I think this

is far more accurate.

You dumped your family for your own ends. Now, you rationalize it to make yourself happy. I imagine with all the power at your disposal, you might even make them believe it.

I thank God you were not my mother, and I pity anyone you want to help.

You act as if the past actions of others void their future actions.

I never said I was a saint, but neither are you. Jager, I know enough about you that I could make you out to be worse than the rumors about your deutchland materialism. The item at hand is not your past, but your future.

You assume I asked myself none of these things? Or a thousand other questions?

No, I just wanted you to post something along these lines. James, I am sure you could figure out why, so I will not go into it.

But Speaking of you James, I hope you like the toy I am sending you.I know it is a copy, but I hope you get the meaning. It should be at your cafe in a week.

Go ahead. Tell one of my deep, dark secrets. A little bit of proof would also be appreciated.

Deutchland materialsim?

Hardly. I'm not German, nor are my thought processes.

I am not a materialist. That would imply that I counted success based on the accumulation of wealth and property. Money is a tool, nothing more.

Keep shooting in the dark, though. Keeps the gun warm.

You missed the poing Jager, sometimes the past is just that the past. Can you make up for past mistakes?Do the herocis of yesterday make up for the vile acts you do today? We live in an ever changing land scape to some. So, what happened in the past happened in the past, not many ways to change those things, and even fewer reasons to.

No.

I think I got the point. Sometimes the past is a good indicator of what you can expect in the future. Sometimes people learn from their past mistakes. I have yet to see any evidence that you have.

~You abandoned your family in a pursuit of personal power, then you attempt to justify it.

~You used your powers to win a lottery, thus insuring that no one else, including 13 million others who live below the poverty line, didn't have a chance. Congrats. You went from an upper middle class lifestyle to never-have-to-work-again rich.

Signy, you are selfish. I can't find any real connection you have to another living being. Your utter lack of empathy for anyone's situation but your own is a very good indicator of what someone can expect when dealing with you.

Yes, I have done some horrible things in my time. The thing is, I really do give a damn if people live or die. I've gone out and lived my life, and made the mistakes that let you grow and learn. You've lived your life in a bunker. It isn't the Fortress of Solitude. Its the Prison of Denial.

And should I play God?Do, the many lives,I save by letting a few die count for nothing?Do the lives, I out right save add up to nothing? What about the jobs, I have made? Maybe the shelters I fund?

I have done nothing I regret, save for how long it took me to change. You say giving up my children was a mean and vile action. What if I told you because of me, my eldest daughter is alive,my son is truly happy, and is making the world a better place. It was once said, a father should never burry his son.Should I have to burry my daughter, prevent my son's happiness?

I spend time with my son,and my daughter will more than likely live such a long time that time would heal all her wounds.

I would say ...
1) their father did an excellent job, and
2) you are rationalizing your personal faults.

Everything turned out okay because you are so god-damn powerful? Yeah, right.
Keep Dreaming.

Your son sounds like a decent man, no thanks to you. If your daughter can't forgive you, that's understandable as well. I am kind of suprised you haven't tried to twist her mind to your liking, but maybe she is just resistant to you.

....

Endeavor, never say never. It depends on the nature of the quantum manifestation of his claws. Sometimes, for no good scientific reason, you can immunize your personal effects to certain expressions.
