Matt
I want to be excited for this movie but I just can't. I've yet to see anything that makes me think this will be a good movie. I hope I am wrong though.
jameson (ST)
I've only seen a little bit of footage and pics but everything looks pretty awesome so far to me.

Matt
I had not seen that trailer before. What do you all think of it?
Mr Fox
Kenneth Branaugh directing? Hell yeah. That alone would make me want to see it. I don't know if it will be a great movie, but with Brannaugh and Hopkins involved I doubt it will completely suck.
Asche
I am such a superhero geek, its hard to do a bad movie for me...with the exception of late 80's and early 90's hero flicks. This looks awesome however. I cannot wait!!
jameson (ST)
I'd seen that before, and as somebody who knows nothing of the comic realm of Thor I think it looks pretty awesome. Plus ... Kirk's dad is Thor!

Sprocket
Looks like the production crew has come up with another winner here, despite some earlier misgivings I had about the whole "science v.s magic" question. I also like the way Thor is shown in his immature stage in the first part of the trailer. A definite must-see flick AFAICT.
Dawn OOC
Honestly, I'm now interested in this movie too. After seeing pictures of Hemsworth, I didn't think he looked right. But now I'm willing to give the film a chance.

Matt
Here is the new "official" trailer. It is almost completely made up of shots from the video above, but at a better quality.
Sprocket
And it just keeps getting better... Between Thor's brand of Kirby-wackiness, Iron Man, the revamped Hulk & Captain America's vintage WWII themes, seeing how they will mix in the upcoming Avengers movie will be a treat and a half. platonicideal
There is a potential spoiler around 24 seconds in the video below. Not a major spoiler, but a cameo, so if you want to remain virginal, stay away. The cameo was dark, muddy and not entirely obvious to me; even knowing who I was looking for on first viewing I thought it was a security guard who made an odd choice. jameson (ST)
One assumes the rest of the movie was also good then?
Justin OOC
It was, but I couldn't help feeling there was something missingI don't know what, that's just the feel I had.
metaphysician
It could have used with maybe a few more or longer battle sequences, but that's about it. Otherwise, it was excellent. Amazing job by nearly every actor involved.
SalmonMax
Thor was amusing in his good-natured gruff hyper-masculinity when he first came to Earth. I couldn't help thinkig that the movie was a tragic waste of otherwise brilliant actors though (Hopkins, Portman, I'm looking at you two).
Stargaizer
I agree with Metaphysician. I liked the movie overall. The only downside was that since my wife is experiencing morning sickness and was still slightly nauseous when we went to see the movie we couldn't see it in IMAX 3D. Not a big deal though, the standard version was still well worth the ticket price.
metaphysician
According to everyone I've heard or read, the 3D isn't worth it anyway. Post production and not very good.
