[OpNet] I am going to do it.

Sandy Davis

Recommended Posts

Do,to the over zealous actions of some parties with in the US, I have come to terms that they want to put me on trial. I do not wish to go onto a cross, but they wish to nail me to one.

I will peaceful, and freely go to a court of their choosing, provided that I am judged by my pears, and have all the rights of anyone.

Now, a simple anwser that some of you may wish to know. The sun is God.

I would think other wise. I do not react well to the drugs they use in that clinic. I react in such away that if i were to be put on those drugs now, I would say to never take me off them. As the last time I came off them I went into a rage, luckily no one was hurt. But I had no control of myself. I do not wish any harm to those around me.

Thank you smith. I do wish you enjoy your hogs.

Endeavor, the trail is to take place in DC, but LA is only a hop and a skip away for me.

Are you saying you're addicted to Mox? How the hell did that happen?

Fair warning: the folks at Triton and the Rashoud Facs have ways to keep you down if you allow them to bring you in. Also, placing yourself in a position in which the same folks can get fresh data on you isn't a real good idea. For a nova of your power, it's SOP to start running combat performance models based on that data.

Trust me on this - I worked in that business for a good five years.

Cody, you do know that if I am found guilty I would have very little reason not to kill those I find displeasing.I am not saying that I will do such, but hey..Why not?

When the last time I was on Mox, I remember not really being able to use my powers, but when it started to stop working I went blank, and I do not recall anything for the next five hours.

Alex, you work off the idea that I hate Utopia, or that I do not hate others enough to give Utopia a means to deal with them.

Lastly, if this case was soully my problem, I would ignore it and treat the US as a nice place to stop for lunch. The thing is this case will change the world of more than just me.

Miss Davis, how exactly is that different from any other day in your life? Why don't you try something different for a change. Just take responsibility. That's all. Leave out the bullshit and politics. Let the excuses wither on the vine. Just say look around at the mess and say. "This is mine."

It ain't that hard.

Probably not. There is already plenty of precident on record for Nova on Nova violence. Cases of pre-meditated murder, involuntary manslaughter, self-defense, etc. You murdered 6 Novas and you claim self-defense. There is nothing unique or interesting there. The justification for your act is also nothing special, revenge as you've so aptly described.

Your own words here will very likely damn you. You've stated you had no real fear of these Novas, that they were not powerful enough to seriously threaten you. This makes your claim of self defense quite hollow.

James do you think, I care about legal president? I don't. I care about the legal recourse of seizing, and freezing assets that keep food on the table of those that need it.

And I think medical records hold more sway than words said on opnet forum. Also note, that I could call up the court records of my past statements, in this case.

And cody "Leave out the bullshit and politics".I had a trail, one that I went. I was peaceful, I acted within my legal rights. I was found not guilty. If the courts did this kind of "bullshit and politics" for every crime they could do it for then, the court rooms would be fill with around 40% more cases. As it is the crout system is bogged down. So, I did something and did what they asked of me. Now, again I am going to to do this peacefully, but I am just stating that it is not wise to threaten those with first strike capabilities.

Actually, you may want to check your Miranda rights, Davis. If this case is being reopened - and I am wondering about that right alongside Dr. Troll - then everything you have said here is admissable in court.

In point of fact, any half-way decent lawyer could put together a decent case for perjury based on the previous trial and your 'testimony' here.

Sandy can and is being charged with Violation of the civil rights of the six dead novas. That is a federal charge, thus no double jeapordy.

,,

Though she beat the state murder charges by blatant jury tampering. I believe the California State Attorney General's office will be looking into the case of jury tampering by Ms. Davis and that they are going to try to bring in Ms. Mallory of San Diego for assistance.

If Ms. Davis is found to have willingly tampered with the jury, the verdict is null and void.

Now, for more perinent information, Ms. Davis.

Sorry, Ms. Davis, but you really should have had your team of lawyers look over that little statement before you uttered it. That is a threat. You are in federal detainee. The Supreme Court, in supporting a joint FBI/Utopian action, upheld the right of federal authorities to "suppress wholy, or in part, any ability, skill, or manifestation that is deemed dangerous to the society at large."

If you have the habit of biting your jailers, you may be masked. If you have a habit of incinerating or beating to death others, no matter what the reason, you can be moxed.

Had you just kept your mouth shut ...

Now, they get to sedate you and mox your ass.

Cody, the Fed have gotten them a hot-shot legal counsel, one Dr. Sinclair. Under her guidance, you, among others, have been subpoenaed to testify to the character of Ms. Davis.

So, Ms. Davis has threatened the life of a prosecution witness.

If one person is stupid, we'll all die together? Why, that's M.A.D!

Dunno. She'll start out on U.S. soil. We're kind of twitchy about dropping nukes on our own soil - particularly since the trial is likely to be in a population center. Of course, if she gets nasty enough it'll come down to killing x number of people so that y number of people can survive.

Crap. I used to like living in the States. Maybe I should take a vacation.

I suggest a long one. Off planet somewhere. It's the only way you'll be able to aviod any of the repercussions of what will be taking place in the US very soon.

As an aside to those with the right contacts. How many of you are being courted by those who would like to see Ms. Davis breathe her last? I've been approached by some highly unlikely people and offered some very interesting compensation if I were to provide a final solution to Ms. Davis. I just curious how far this is going to go.

The underworld grapevine says that the Medellin would pay pretty highly for Sandy to become the "ghost formally known as...". There's rumours one of the six Novas she capped was connected to the cartels in some way. Those Columbian boys don't mess about when it comes to revenge, and they don't care how many of their people they lose.

I can just see it now. Sandy comes through the doors of the court bristling with quantum death.

"Say hello to my leetle friend!!!"

I wouldn't worry about nukes being thrown about though. If Sandy's as hard as rumour says, then they'll probably just get Pax and co to babysit her for the duration of her trial. It being the US and Sandy being a walking WMD, a guilty verdict will probably be a death sentance anyway.

At which point Nova Vigilance show up...

Well, well, well...

So, I'm not the only one getting visits from men and women in black suits asking for help. Of course, I decline. I'm above actually taking a life myself. The only reason I queried a wager was because I was just getting a poll. It will be Miss Davis's own undoing. She's her own worst enemy, and I hope someone stops her before the threat to herself becomes a threat to others.

I've just unlocked the docking clamps to Endeavor Point, and I'm moving it out to the Center of the south pacific for now. Via towage by my new Hikari-Maru II.

If things get worse case, I'll DEFINATELY have to blow some covers. Just to save my own hide.

If anyone else cares to jump onboard when the need arises, I got plenty of space on the island and the Hikari Maru II.

You know, this scenario is playing out in power level similar to an Anime I had seen in younger times. Perhaps you've heard of DragonBall Z?

I wonder how high on the power tree we'll need to go to contain any thread from Sandy, or to stop the lynchmobs?

Threaten anyone? No, I stated a fact, as given the right to me by the law. I stated that if x would hapen, I would have little legal reason to not do y. And Miss Mallory has a cunflict ofintrests here, so I would recamend not to think of using her.I mean I would love a get out of jail card free, but I think you shouldn't waste her time.

And as for threaten any lives, no more than CBN, Filbirg, or many other books you can legally buy and sell over the state.Seeing as Cody was not in the same, state, or related to any victims, of the cult or of this "crime"and he has no relations to me, I fail to see what evidence he could offer. As last time I checked he was a lamen, so anything he could say would fall under the hear say rule.

Jury, tempering. That is a good one, as at the time of the trail, the laws of jury tampering didn't cover being charming. Do you mask the lovely, mute the sweet talkers?Maybe take away the away the right to be charismatic on stand.Maybe take away the right to be human on trial. That right there is a breaking civil rights. You can't force someone to be less than oneself. If people want to believe then, let it be so, that is the greatest weakness of a jury after all. They are just people. And nothing more or less.

It ain't going to come to nukes and shit.

You know - the one thing that never really sat well with me is how folks is always willing to crank it up a notch. One brings a knife so somebody else pulls a pistol. They pull a rifle so you pull a grenade launcher. Keep it long enough and you finally get to shit that screws it up for everybody.

Ain't nobody going to nuke Davis. It just ain't needed.

Miss Davis

Back to the bullshit already? Figured it might take a little longer but then you ain't never been subtle or had an imagination.

Captain Preston

Do I gotta come or are they just going to take statements? Either case I'm going to be in Rosswell for a while. They can find me at the Green Flash Inn off the interstate. Been beach combing a collection of bits I found out in the desert.

Hang on there Sandy, you can't have it both ways. You say that it'd be okay for one of those mega-socials to be tried without any kind of restricition on their more-than-human charms. But didn't you say those six Novas got off by mentally dominating the jury and judge?

Looks like six of one, half a dozen of the other to me.

That doesn't sound fair. Cody wasn't subpoenaed when he and Sandy exchanged insults. If he is going to talk about threats then that is dragging another unproved crime into the pot is a pretty open effort to influence the jury.

Several times. No, make that, several times from several different organizations. Considering our challenge match I guess I'm not surprised, but if I'd realized how disrupting winning would be I might have lost.

Makes me consider going over there to help Sandy out. With this kind of pressure I doubt she is going to get a fair trial.

Don't bother, Doc.

If Sandy gets her way, she gets to charm the jury and clear up this whole mess. No need for you to show up, unless you want to get charmed as well.

If Sandy doesn't get her way, then her rights get violated because she is a nova and we all lose. You don't want to be there when that happens.

Mind you, Sandy did murder those six novas. She got angry with them and she killed them. Jusitified? Perhaps. If they treated me that badly, I would certainly have sought to do them harm, especially when I was younger. Nowadays, I show more restraint.

In theory:

The trial is going to be a farce. Sandy's declaration that she is just "charming" rings hollow to anyone who has gotten on the bad side of a socially adept nova.

I would point out that not all the charm in the world would save Geisha if she didn't get the drop on James, and remember, he knows her. He has been around her. The effects wear off, and can leave the subject feeling very abused.

Who wins?

Utopia, for one. It will prove, no matter what the outcome, that the regular judicial process can't handle novas who commit crimes. Either the Accord on Human Rights will get thrown out the window, or a nova can commit the most heinous crime and get off scott free.

Our only alternative? Project Utopia.

After all, the "GOOD" novas work for them. They will protect us from the "BAD" (read non-Utopian) novas that will hurt and abuse the baseline populace.

The Teragen for another. No offense Raoul, but Count Orzaiz must be loving this one and I am sure he has both speaches already prepared. Either the baseline justice system can't handle novas, and the Manifesto is prove right, or a nova can't get justice in a baseline court of law and therefore must seek justice elsewhere.

BTW, my bet is that NV won't show. Why should they? Sandy isn't one of theirs and has been quite anti-Terat for most of her career. Hell's bells, she has family ties to Utopia. Sandy is a poison apple, and best left for someone else to pluck.

Besides, doesn't she make a beautiful martyr?

The Directive? I imagine they are waiting for National Registrations Acts to be coming out of their various assemblies. Initially, I think it will remain "voluntary" in most nations. After all, every patriotic, conciencious, and honest nova will want to register, right? Only novas with something to hide will not want to volunteer. And, you will have to investigate those, right? All in the name of national security. Once a goodly number of novas have refused, it should become compulsitory.

Who loses?

Every independent nova out there, just trying to make their way in the world. Cody, Preston, Endeavor, Digigeist, Jordan, Walker, Craft, and even Sphere. You want to live your own lives? Tough, now you have to help, or else.

Now they get to ask you why you don't want to help and "I'm an individual with my own life" doesn't count as an acceptable answer.

Of course, I could be wrong. Sandy could behave, be found guilty, and learn to dorm down at whatever prison the US government sends her too. Or, everyone could be satisfied with her aquittal and the matter will rest.

Here is the little trick, see where my signals are coming from? Yes, that's right just above the ozone!

I saw the novas use active mind controlling powers. They were not just charming. They rewrote the juries mind. This not a mater of being charming, but rather tampering with juries.

Doc, I can call up, the 10 witnesses that saw the "crime". I let them off the first time to spare them the stress. Oh one is a nova, should he dorm down on the witness stand as well? So, wile I would like you at the trail,it would only be as friendly face.
