Gamrin Bharit D'Nelin, Wizard of the first Circle, Initiate of the White Flame, is the child of a family of wizards. His parents, most of his siblings, and several uncles and aunts on both sides are wizards. All four of his grandparents were wizards.

So it's not surprising that Gamrin is a wizard. At sixteen, Gamrin looks very tall and slight for a human. He is also cursed with an unfortunately slightly impish face, complete with a mischevious smile that makes him look more than just vaguely immature. What's not surprising, considering he's a wizard, is that he's also not all that strong. Gamrin has been bred to be a wizard.

Gamrin's also a member of the White Flame, a group of human supremecist wizards. That's not so surprising, since his father is a high member of the group--some say the leader--and the rest of the wizards in his family are as well. They contributed substantially to building the defenses of Kaer Nilak. They did, just not nearly as much as they seem to want to believe that they did.

Despite that, he has a reputation for being odd. It's rumoured he sometimes goes wandering through the non-human parts of the kaer--by himself, no less.

Being an awkward adolescent, and given his family, Gamrin says and does some things that are ignorant, stupid, racist and elitist because he is ignorant and stupid in a youthful way. He doesn't seem to mean any harm by what he says, but doesn't really think about what it actually means.
