Aside from providing threats to hapless baselines (innocent or otherwise), they made convenient patsies/scapegoats for the series' villains and our player character group (once). The 3 minor nova Domitori (sp?) wound up being mistakenly black-bagged by Proteus due to misdirection from the PCs. Astaroth himself was kidnapped by the Big Bad's underlings & given over to the Heaven Thunder Triad for vivisection due to his interfering with the Big Bad's plans. Mammon was executed by the Big Bad & given an unmarked roadside burial almost as an afterthought. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(A Q8-Q9 nova, matching Divis Mal in power, who'd locked himself away in a pocket universe.)We managed to kill it anyway.So, this brought back the continent of Atlantis and caused the greatest natural catastrophy of human history.
