Trinity RPG - Running Passage Through Shadow Series

Recommended Posts

Hello! I finally have a group playing through the Passage through Shadow series. I have gone through the first adventure, Remnants of the Dead, and my group had a blast with it.

So, next up, chasing down the Willoms and Kriso at Boltzzman Station.

I have a Clair ISRA biofighter pilot, a Aesc Rex who is a specialist in taint research (and who was being shipped to Bealuc Clinic when Aeon asked for his assistance ::devil ), a Norca bio merc, and a telepathic Ministry agent. A good group, all around.

Any advice for running the rest of the series?

Are you running them word for word, so to speak? I own a few of the Trin adventures (must have them all!), and based on my reading of them they seemed incredibly overwritten, but in a good way; the individual ST can then carve away the parts he doesn't like or need, toss in a few ideas of his own for spice, and voila, a great series of adventures!

You could also just scrap them for parts; lots of great setpieces and cool new bits of tech that can be used as seasoning in your own adventures.

If you're running them as written, I would say make sure you read everything thouroughly, especially the stuff you're going to run before the next session. Maybe keep a few notes to keep track of who's who; there are ususally a ton of NPCs in those, and you don't want to confuse the names in a story that is already labyrinthine ::wacko

Here's something specific I'll ask. My players have, not suprisingly, spent some points on allies and contacts. My ISRAn, who had spent some time attached to a 7th Legion squadron. He now has a one-dot Legion ally, who is a 4th Legion Frenchman. He also has a contact in the UN (a janitor) and a gambler in Olypmus' Underworld. My Rex has a two contacts, one was a doctor at Beaulac clinic (who may end up transferred to Basel) and a policeman in Accra (though I've thought about amending this to a zookeeper, since it could be cooler). He has a 2-point ally, and I'm not sure what to make the ally. Any thoughts, based on the adventure and what I've provided?
