This is the first year I've ever done this, and I love it. There's something just plain incredible about singing in the blowing snow, thirty feet off the ground, and you don't look up from the book but you know they're all watching you, and you know they all like what they hear...

I sense a new holiday tradition.

I'm going out again tomorrow and I thought I'd do something a little fun. I'm going to filk a little, which is that thing where you take a song and make up new words for it. I'm looking for nova-themed filks - anyone got any?

The duet with Tenor did not work out. She got a call. So I sang mostly on my own. The top hat and coat were ditched for a Santa's-gal-helper outfit, which I can't see any woman wearing out in the snow unless they have fur growing everywhere. A low-cut red top with a miniskirt is not what I'd call toasty warm.

I think the one that went over the best was this one, sung to a bunch of Rashoud researchers:

Eh. Christmas has lost it's true meaning. I heard that a lot from my dad. The conflict in my family was more magnified because my mother was Shinto Buhddist and dad was Catholic. You can imagine why Christmas was not my favorite time of year. Me, I'm always gravitating toward something sometime. Agnostic I guess would best describe me.

And I find little use for Political Correctness. Marx invented it. As a way to single out and ridicule dissodents. So fuck it too.
