  1. I've been following the development of a few Massively Multiplayer Online games (MMOs) for many years now and overall I think it was a fascinating experience, learning how the MMO development works (superficially), and discussing the matter with other fans. Now one could ask "but where are the games?", well they're coming, albeit slowly, and should likely launch in the next few years (except for some that are expected to launch soon, and others unfortunately which may not make it to launch). I've made a list of 18 popular/promising indie MMORPGs being currently developed and I'm sharing it on different platforms. 2. Lol social distancing beats horror stars. Never liked horror movies, way too much explicit violence.
  3. The fastest a human-made object has traveled in space is about 240,000 km per hour. Maybe the NASA could try to increase this speed, one step at the time, instead of trying to go faster than 300,000 km per second. I don't know but it seems to be a bit unrealistic to create warp bubbles, maybe they're announcing this to get more funding from tax-payers?
  4. There's a lot to learn from the development of this game. From 19K players (daily peak) in 2013 to +150K in 2020, this game did an awesome job at increasing steadily and retaining their player base. I haven't played this game but I wish all the crowdfunding games I'm following can have this kind of community growth over time.
  5. It came out 9 years ago and is still one of the top 5 most played MMORPGs in the west (about 1,5 million players). Really great game (not as great as Guild Wars 1 but still!). The WvWs are fun to watch.
  6. To make use of our imagination, I guess there's nothing comparable to PnP RPG... or story telling/reading, and also non graphical Multi Users Dungeons (MUD). I've only played once to PnP RPG and I enjoyed the experience. Video games nowadays do not foster the use of imaginations that much: the story is already written, the path the players will follow is already decided by developers, the 3D environment does not really lay room to our brain capacities to imagine the surroundings. The creation process seems to be all in the hands of the game developers rather than the players. Only a few games (Minecraft, for example) allows players to be really imaginative and creative.
