Jor spent most of his life being experimented on by his mother. She tested mutant gene suppressing drugs on him in an attempt to keep him 'human'. She had mixed feelings however, a part of her wanted to protect her son, and a part wished she'd never had him since his conception was a result of being raped by a mutant.

Because the drugs kept him from reaching his potential physically he went into art and drama to express himself. His fellow students, the school jocks at least, saw him as easy prey despite his size and bullied him regularly. Perhaps because of his home life and his mothers coldness toward him, perhaps because of his latent genes, he refused to give in to the bullying and spent junior high and his freshman year in high school getting into fight after fight.

In his old school he considered was somewhere between a geek and a bad boy, but mostly he just tried to mind his own business. Now that he's been given the chance to attend the Lawrence Hunt Academy he's looking forward to having as much fun as possible, something he was never allowed to do before.
