Since many of us on N!Prime play multiple characters, it can be difficult for us to figure out which character has had a private message sent to them.  Something in the subject, or in the message body, that mentions the account by name when the account is notified by Email of a private message would be a big help.

That's a great suggestion.  I'll try and get that feature added in the near future.

Please help us expand our site.  We want to help create the perfect site for you.  We want to encompass as many of the topics that you are interested in as possible.  We want to integrate the highest level of features as capable.  To get there we need your input.  Please use this thread to list any ideas that you think could help out the site.

Thanks,

I don't know if it's possible but a Dice Roller would be nice, something that would generate the output directly into your post.

I really like the idea of a die roller, if that doesn't cause the site to get blocked for me at work.  Almost every die roller on the web is blocked by the company I work for. <grumbles>  So that would be particularly useful.

More space for our avatars.  For some reason the Avatar maker I use has started to create avatars at a higher byte count than is acceptable here.  frown

What is the file size of the avatars?

15.0KB to 27.0KB.  I'm not sure why they started becoming so much larger.

Hey Chosen.
On the old site of AberrantPrime, the topics had the ability to quote multiple posts. A button at the bottom of each post, similar to the row we have (Reply/Quote/Quick Quote/Notify/Email Post)except it had a button with a  Quote. We could click a half dozen or more of these multiple quote buttons and then hit Add Reply and all the multiple quotes would be listed separately.

I found this feature convenient for RPG posts in which I needed to reply to several players posts without going back and forth, cutting and pasting and making sure the quote code was input properly.

Consider this on my wish list.

You can do that now.  Just go down the list and hit quick quote beside any message that you want to quote and it will add it to the quick reply box.  Does that do what you are asking for?

I have a suggestion that I thought I might throw out now that the move has been completed(?) and there are more games starting up on the forum-at-large.

Specifically, I was thinking perhaps there should be different categories for "Campaign" PBP boards and "Open World" PBP boards.   I think the logistic and spiritual difference between 2018, 2010, 200X and the assorted campaigns that are being run right now is a marked one, and as more Open World games start up, it's going to broaden that gulf.  I just think it might be a handy way to distinguish to new visitors to the site that "here be Moderated forums where you make a character and jump into an open world environment with no set agenda outside the one you create" and "here be Storyteller run adventures with a specific plot to run through".
I think that one defines themself through reinvention. To not be like your parents. To not be like your friends. To not be like your peers. To be yourself. To carve yourself out of wood.

Could there be a Mixed Breed category, too, then? Otherwise I don't where to put in MCH, as it has major elements of both. I'm for the idea in general, though.

Either that or categories by game system/genre/whatever, with perhaps a naming convention for the specific boards that shows it it is moderated, open world, or something between the two.

You are making the idea more complex instead of less.  The only question that matters for purposes of this difference is 'Does the game feature Storyteller-driven plot or Moderator-observed free play as its primary thrust?'  Anything beyond that is sophistry.

How goes the color themes for the layout?  I really miss those.

I am unfortunately still working on the other color schemes.  I have them all 95% completed, but I have one last bug to squash before I can add them back into the site.  I'll keep you informed.

I am getting pretty close to finishing the other themes.  Hopefully I'll have some time this weekend to wrap them up.

Thank you Chosen!

While I'm on this thread I'll ask for a larger/wider reply box in the "Switch to Full Reply Screen".  In Firefox it's smaller than the normal one at the bottom of the screen.

If I click on the button "Switch to Full Reply Screen" in Internet Explorer, I end up in a reply box roughly the width of the screen.  In Firebox (v2.0.0.14) it's very narrow, about two thirds the width of the one I'm typing in now.  Mostly I deal with it by typing in this box and not the Full Reply Screen.

No, I meant look at the full reply box and let me know if that is good.  I have it set to be 80% of the post area.

Not for me... and I have a monster-big wide screen.   cool

Provided it fits on the screen without scrolling, more is better.  smile

Seriously, thanks a bunch, this makes the full screen button useful.

Great.  It is set to a percentage of the area so it should never require scrolling.

I have a wish.  Can you make it so we can insert images into our posts from our hard drive files, rather than only being able to hyperlink to pics hosted at other web sites?

Nope!  *Nobody* gets to see my penguin porn but me!  Seriously though sometime I find a great image I would like to use but the site has hyperlinking disabled.  If I save it to my image folder though I could upload it from there...if that function was included...
