Anybody looking to topple him is gonna have a fun time of it, as the Prince, Dimitri, and Hans all seem to go back a ways and are pretty tight. Between the three of them, there is little they cannot do." "For a brief time the city was divided, with Dietrich residing in West Berlin. Several decades after the construction of the Berlin Wall. another Kindred rose up, declaring himself Prince of East Berlin. When the wall came down, Prince Dietrich swiftly reminded all the kindred that there was only one Prince of Berlin. Since that time the other Kindred's name and Clan has been lost or forgotten, possibly through the use of various Disciplines, but those within the city at the time. I remember it myself, but I can't remember the name of the other fellow, poor bastard." "Anyways, Dietrich likes to run things a more old fashioned way. Her permits a Primogen council, leaving it up to each Clan to decide who fills the seat at the table. Bloodline are out of luck, unless their lineage is clear, like the City Gangrel. If you are from some Bloodline like the Daughters of Cacophony, then I guess you better convince some Clan's Primogen to bring matters up for you. This means the Primogen is usuall the elder, or at least an elder, but for some Clans, like the Gangrel, it is more of a burden than a blessing. If you have an issue or need to speak with the prince, go through your Primogen." "Pretty much every clan has interest in Berlin, but the museums, concert halls and artistic subculture bring a lot of Toreador to the city. There's lots of parks, so there is a semi-stable Gangrel population. We got City Gangrel too, so watch out for them." Boroughs Berlin is subdivided into twelve boroughs or districts (Bezirke). Each borough contains a number of subdistricts or neighborhoods (Ortsteile), which often have historic roots in older municipalities that predate the formation of Greater Berlin on 1 October 1920 and became urbanized and incorporated into the city. Many residents strongly identify with their subdistricts or districts. At present, Berlin consists of 96 subdistricts, which are commonly made up of several smaller residential areas or quarters, called Kiez in the Berlin dialect. Each borough is governed by a borough council (Bezirksamt) consisting of five councilors (Bezirksstadträte) including the borough mayor (Bezirksbürgermeister). The borough council is elected by the borough assembly (Bezirksverordnetenversammlung). The boroughs of Berlin are not independent municipalities. The power of borough administration is limited and subordinate to the Senate of Berlin. The borough mayors form the council of mayors (Rat der Bürgermeister), led by the city's governing mayor, which advises the senate. The neighborhoods have no local government bodies. Prince Dietrich has awarded each Each of the boroughs to a Kindred, making them big fish in small ponds. We call the Kindred placed in charge of a borough a "Burgomeister." They mainly serve as a buffer between the Prince and the petty shit that happens, but does not need his direct attention. So these Burgomeisters watch over things, handle the small shit and all that, and in return they have a fair amount of say over their borough they oversee as long as they do not break the laws of the Prince, to whom they owe fealty." "What's it mean to you? Not much as long as you are not stupid and don't cause trouble. You can travel as you like around the city and between boroughs, set up havens, feed, whatever (as long as you do not violate another's Domain). It generally takes quite a bit to get your dumbass banned from a borough by a Burgomeister. If you have some sorts of business interest within a Burgomeister's borough, then they sometimes want a kickback. It could be money or some kine blood every month or maybe a single boon on your Grand Opening or whatever. It varies. Some are easing going and others are dicks." 1) Mitte Burgomeister: Dimitri - Brujah Mitte is the first and most central borough of Berlin. It was created in Berlin's 2001 administrative reform by the merger of the former districts of Mitte proper, Tiergarten and Wedding; the resulting borough retained the name Mitte. It is one of the two boroughs (beside Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg) which comprises former West and East Berlin districts. Mitte encompasses Berlin's historic core and includes some of the most important tourist sites of Berlin like Museum Island, Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden, Potsdamer Platz, the Reichstag and Berlin Hauptbahnhof, most of which were in former East Berlin. Mitte (German for "middle", "centre") is located in the central part of Berlin along the Spree River. It borders on Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf in the west, Reinickendorf in the north, Pankow in the east, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg in the southeast, and Tempelhof-Schöneberg in the southwest. In the middle of the Spree lies Museum Island (Museumsinsel) with its museums and Berlin Cathedral (Berliner Dom). The central square in Mitte is Alexanderplatz with the prominent Fernsehturm (TV tower), Germany's highest building, and the large railway station with connections to many subway (U-Bahn), tramway (Straßenbahn), city trains (S-Bahn) and buses. There are some important streets which connect Mitte with the other boroughs, e.g. the boulevard Unter den Linden which connects Alexanderplatz to the west with Brandenburg Gate and runs further as Straße des 17. Juni to the Victory Column and the centre of former West Berlin in Charlottenburg, or Karl-Marx-Allee from Alexanderplatz to Friedrichshain and the eastern suburbs. The former Mitte district had been established by the 1920 Greater Berlin Act and comprised large parts of the historic city around Alt-Berlin and Cölln. Brandenburg Gate was the western exit at the Berlin city boundary until 1861. 2) Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Burgomeister: Helena - Setite Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg is the second borough of Berlin, formed in 2001 by merging the former East Berlin borough of Friedrichshain and the former West Berlin borough of Kreuzberg. The historic Oberbaum Bridge, formerly a Berlin border crossing for pedestrians, links both districts across the river Spree as the new borough's landmark (as featured in the coat of arms). Kreuzberg is characterised by a high number of immigrants, the share of non-German citizens in Friedrichshain is much lower and the average age is higher. There is a strong counterculture tradition in Kreuzberg as well. The merger between the distinct quarters is celebrated by an annual anarchic "vegetable fight" on the Oberbaumbrücke. 3) Pankow Burgomeister: Olaf - Nosferatu Pankow is the most populous and the second-largest borough of Berlin. In Berlin's 2001 administrative reform it was merged with the former boroughs of Prenzlauer Berg and Weißensee; the resulting borough retained the name Pankow. The borough, named after the Panke river, covers the northeast of the city region, including the inner city locality of Prenzlauer Berg. It borders Mitte and Reinickendorf in the west, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg in the south, and Lichtenberg in the east. Pankow is Berlin's largest borough by population and the second largest by area (after Treptow-Köpenick). Between 1945 and 1960, Schönhausen Palace and the nearby Majakowskiring street in the Niederschönhausen locality of Pankow was the home to many members of the East German government. Western writers therefore often referred to Pankow as a metonym for the East German regime—as reflected by Udo Lindenberg's song "Sonderzug nach Pankow". The Rykestrasse Synagogue, Germany's largest synagogue, is located in the Prenzlauer Berg locality. The Weißensee Cemetery is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in Europe. In northern Prenzlauer Berg, the Wohnstadt ("residential town") Carl Legien is part of the Berlin Modernist Housing Estates UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Weißer See is the borough's largest natural body of water. 4) Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf Burgomeister: Benedikt - Ventrue Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf is the fourth borough of Berlin, formed in an administrative reform with effect from 1 January 2001, by merging the former boroughs of Charlottenburg and Wilmersdorf. From the sandy banks of the Havel to the Technical University, from the Olympic stadium to the Teufelsberg, from Charlottenburg Palace to Jungfernheide park, from the German Opera House to the Schaubühne theatre, and from the exhibition centre with Berlin's television tower to the many shopping streets and tranquil squares, the district has something for everyone. The Kurfürstendamm is an absolute must for any visitor to Berlin. From Breitscheidplatz, site of the Memorial Church, to Rathenauplatz with its concrete Cadillacs, this is the buzzing heart of a district that has plenty more to offer: Grunewald forest is a popular choice with Berliners for a day out, and the good life can be enjoyed in the exclusive 'villa districts' of Westend and Grunewald, middle-class residential areas such as Schmargendorf, the Rheingauer Viertel around Rüdesheimer Platz or Eichkamp, as well as in modern residential areas such as Siemensstadt.. After World War II and the city's division by the Berlin Wall, the area around Kurfürstendamm and Bahnhof Zoo was the centre of former West Berlin, with the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church as its landmark. The Berlin Institute of Technology (Technische Universität Berlin), the Berlin University of the Arts (Universität der Künste), the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung), the Deutsche Oper Berlin as well as Charlottenburg Palace and the Olympic Stadium are also located in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. 5) Spandau Burgomeister: Vasile - Tzimisce Spandau is the fifth of the twelve boroughs (Bezirke) of Berlin. It is the fourth largest and westernmost borough, situated at the confluence of the Havel and Spree rivers and along the western bank of the Havel, but the least populated. With its old quarter and citadel, Berlin-Spandau offers remarkable architectural monuments surrounded by a variety of biotopes in the Havel basin. In addition to urban flair, it has a wealth of idyllic countryside featuring water, meadows, forest and fields – with farms, stables, inviting restaurants and marinas, a golf course and marked trails. It has developed from an old-established industrial centre into a modern centre for the service industry with new shopping centres, hotels and restaurants. In the north it borders on the district of Oberhavel, in the west on the district of Havelland and the city of Potsdam in the federal state of Brandenburg. Modern industries include metal working, chemical and electrical factories. Since 1969, BMW manufactures motorcycles only in the motorcycle factory in Spandau. Spandau is famous for its Renaissance citadel. Spandau was the location of the Spandau arsenal until 1919 and the notorious Spandau Prison until the prison was demolished in 1987. The British New Romantic band Spandau Ballet took their name from the Spandau borough in the British sector of former West Berlin. 6) Steglitz-Zehlendorf Burgomeister: Gabriel - Malkavian Steglitz-Zehlendorf is the sixth borough of Berlin, formed in Berlin's 2001 administrative reform by merging the former boroughs of Steglitz and Zehlendorf. Situated in Berlin's south-west, the district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf consists of seven suburbs: Wannsee, Nikolassee, Zehlendorf, Dahlem, Lichterfelde, Steglitz and Lankwitz. The leafy district is full of recreation areas with forests and lakes, cultural highlights and remarkable attractions, and thanks to its superb transport links, the city centre and surrounding region are readily accessible. The famous Glienicke Bridge where spies were once exchanged connects Steglitz-Zehlendorf to Potsdam on the other side of the River Havel. As of 2010, the borough had a population of roughly 294,000, of whom about 70,000 (~24%) were of non-German ethnicity/origin. Hence, the percentage of migrants is a bit lower than Berlin's overall average, which is at roughly 30%. 7) Tempelhof-Schöneberg Burgomeister: Hans - Toreador Tempelhof is a modern, big-city residential and industrial district with more than 20,000 commercial businesses, among them a number of well-known international corporations. Schöneberg, on the other hand, is a centre for the services industry with a colourful and diverse range of institutions. The KaDeWe department store is internationally recognized as a shoppers' paradise. Altogether, this is a lively district offering a combination of urban life and idyllic surroundings with many seemingly contrasting facets. In addition to the buzzing trendy district, it boasts the UFA-Fabrik, an 18,566 square meter cultural oasis... ... for performance art, and entertainment. ... for comedy, world music, and multimedia events. ... for international encounters, festivals, conferences, and art projects. ... for recreational activities for children, teens, and adults. ... for community involvement, and family support. ... for ecological demonstrations, and sustainable development. ... for organic baking, gastronomy, and hospitality. The UFA-Fabrik has been a centre of art and culture for 30 years. There's plenty of nightlife on offer at the Amber Suite and Goya club. The Urania observatory has been a centre of scientific and artistic ideas since 1888, while the 'Kleines Theater' provides an impressive stage for plays. At the Wilhelm-Foerster observatory and planetarium (am Insulaner), one can discover daily new facts and pieces of wisdom about our universe. One can also enjoy 'audio cinema under the stars', concerts and much, much more. 8) Neukölln Burgomeister: Alessandra - Lasombra Neukölln is the eighth borough of Berlin, located in the southeastern part of the city and was part of the former American sector under the Four-Power occupation of the city. It features many Gründerzeit buildings and is characterized by having one of the highest percentage of immigrants in Berlin. Those who know Berlin see Neukölln as a Bohemian village: formerly known as Rixdorf, the district was once home to Bohemian refugees who settled around Richardplatz. To this day, Neukölln is a melting pot of cultures with plenty to discover: from the highly respected Neukölln opera house and the Puppet Theatre Museum, which is not just popular with children, to Britz Garden and Britz Castle. Not to mention the legendary Turkish market at Maybachufer and the 48h Neukölln Festival. The borough is known for its large Turkish, Arab and Kurdish communities, which together make up roughly 18% of the borough's population. Recently, there has been an influx of Romani people and Sub-Saharan Africans. Another noticeable trend is the rapid gentrification of certain neighborhoods within the borough, where the influx of students, creatives and other young professionals of mostly Western origin has caused some tension. 9) Treptow-Köpenick Burgomeister: Sophia - Gangrel (City) Treptow-Köpenick is the ninth borough of Berlin, Germany, formed in Berlin's 2001 administrative reform by merging the former boroughs of Treptow and Köpenick. Home to the Kopenick Palace and the Museam of Applies Arts, housed in a former palace Muggelsee, the largest lake in Berlin and a popular park. Among Berlin's boroughs it is the largest by area with the lowest population density. The Johannisthal Air Field, Germany's first airfield, was located in Treptow-Köpenick, between Johannisthal and Adlershof. Treptower Park, a popular place for recreation and a tourist destination, is also located in the borough. The park features the sprawling Soviet War Memorial, a war memorial to the Soviet soldiers who fell in the Battle of Berlin in 1945. 10) Marzahn-Hellersdorf Burgomeister: Naomi - Tremere Marzahn-Hellersdorf is the tenth borough of Berlin, formed in 2001 by merging the former boroughs of Marzahn and Hellersdorf. The character of the district is defined by its contrasting architecture. Here, one finds modern, multi-faceted buildings alongside unexpected treasures such as listed historical buildings from the 19th century. Examples of this include the Gründerzeit Museum, Biesdorf Palace and the villages of Marzahn and Kaulsdorf. There's also an incredible wealth of green spaces such as Wuhletal valley, the longest green corridor in Berlin. This district is set apart with its extensive green space, including the Wuhletal, the longest green corridor in Berlin, and the Gärten der Welt (Gardens of the World) park. 11) Lichtenberg Burgomeister: Tsuko - Ventrue Lichtenberg is the eleventh borough of Berlin, Germany. In Berlin's 2001 administrative reform it absorbed the former borough of Hohenschönhausen. The district contains the Tierpark Berlin in Friedrichsfelde, the larger of Berlin's two zoological gardens. Lichtenberg was also the site of the extensive headquarters complex of the Stasi, the East German intelligence service. Prior to the establishment of the GDR it housed the main office of the Soviet Military Administration in Berlin, and before that it was an officers' mess of the Wehrmacht. The complex is now the location of the Stasi Museum. The Berlin-Hohenschönhausen Memorial is on the site of the main remand prison of the Stasi. Lichtenberg is also the location of the German-Russian Museum, the historical venue of the unconditional surrender of the German armed forces (Wehrmacht) on 8 May 1945. Lichtenberg is a developing center of Asian culture and dubbed the eastern Asiatown or Chinatown of Berlin. The Dong Xuan Center around Herzbergstrasse on former industrial grounds is a development quarter with many different Asian businesses, various shops, food producers and wholesalers/distributors, residential areas and cultural offers. 12) Reinickendorf Burgomeister: Damiano - Giovanni Reinickendorf is the twelfth borough of Berlin. It encompasses the northwest of the city area, including the Berlin Tegel Airport, Lake Tegel, spacious settlements of detached houses as well as housing estates like Märkisches Viertel. Situated in the leafier north-west of Berlin and consisting of ten suburbs, the district of Reinickendorf offers a rural idyll as well as big city atmosphere for visitors and just under 242,000 local residents. Anyone with an interest in history and architecture will be in their element in Reinickendorf too: highlights include the former Borsig site with the listed Borsig tower and gate, where the 'Hallen am Borsigturm' centre offers an attractive combination of historical buildings and modern architecture. Also of interest are the local history museum in Alt-Hermsdorf and the Fire Service Museum in Tegel. With Lake Tegel and Tegel Forest, the district has a wealth of waterways and green spaces covering more than a quarter of its area – a record even for Berlin! Thanks to 23 bus services, three suburban railway links and two underground lines, plus the A111, Reinickendorf is easily accessible in a matter of minutes from the city centre. Climate Summers are warm and sometimes humid with average high temperatures of 22–25 °C (72–77 °F) and lows of 12–14 °C (54–57 °F). Winters are cool with average high temperatures of 3 °C (37 °F) and lows of −2 to 0 °C (28 to 32 °F). Spring and autumn are generally chilly to mild. Berlin's built-up area creates a microclimate, with heat stored by the city's buildings and pavement. Temperatures can be 4 °C (7 °F) higher in the city than in the surrounding areas.[63] Annual precipitation is 570 millimeters (22 in) with moderate rainfall throughout the year. Sure, I'll tell you about them keep in mind a couple of things though. Never assume a name is the birth name of a Kindred. Some of us change names like the Kine change socks. And second, I'm just gonna cover the more well known of each Clan. There are certainly others, but they do not draw as much attention. It varies from Clan to Clan as to if that is for good or bad reasons. Aside from that, you can bet that there is some serious Game Of Thrones shit going on around in a city as important and valuable as Berlin. So watch yourself. The Brujah Spoiler Dimitri is the Clan Elder, de facto leader of the Clan, and Burgomeister of Mitten. He's not like most of the Brujah today. He is a 'warrior/scholar' type of Brujah, back from the old days of the Clan. Because of that, he has an extreme distaste for the more anarchistic or 'Modern' Brujah and tries, usually in vain, to 'educate' them to the proper ways of the Clan, and become 'True' Brujah. Dimitry, Hans and Prince Dietrich seem to go way back and are pretty tight. The Prince takes care of them though, appointing them Burgomeisters of some prime areas (like Mitten). He is the unofficial Sheriff when Dietrich needs shit taken care of and doesn't bother with it himself. The Humboldt University of Berlin is his Domain. He's rather protective of it, so it's best just to avoid the place and don't fuck with the students. Oh, he sometimes gets this far off look in his eyes and talks about watching Carthage burn with a palatable ache in his voice. So, yeah... Emma is Dimitri's childer. She was a student from America who came to Berlin to study abroad and for some damn reason caught Dimitri's eye. She helps him run things, it seems. She's quiet and polite, but I am willing to bet that if you push her, you'll see she's probably just as much 'warrior' as she is 'scholar'. Johann was embraced before the Great War, from what I hear, so he's no neonate. Though no nearly as old as Dimitri, they would seem to see eye to eye on a lot of stuff. If anything, I would say he's about a half step between 'True' and 'Modern' Brujah camps and tries to mediate between them. Bastian is the leader of the 'Modern' Brujah in the Clan and has no great love for Dimitri. He's smart, talks a lot and argues with him a lot, but in the end, has to suffer and obey. You see, Bastian and a few others pushed Dimitri too far a few decades back. Bastian is the one Dimitri let survive. (You know, that "let one live to tell the tale" stuff). Guess he didn't learn much from that, except that Dimitri can beat his ass, probably even from torpor. Amelie is one of Bastian's 'Modern' Brujah. She'll throw down at a drop of a hat and does not need a reason. She's the one Bastian sends when he needs something taken care of, but wants clean hands. Lena is usually found with Amelie. She's more cool headed than Amelie, but seems to have her friend's back without question. That is at least when they are not fighting with each other. I think they were a couple when they were Kine, and seem to be, to some degree, still. The Gangrel Spoiler Ansgar is the Gangrel elder and Primogen. He's stuck around the Berlin for a while now and probably knows more about the Lupines than anybody else in the city. Oh, and he has no sense of humor at all. Pavel looks like he was a Gangrel before he was even a Gangrel. That guy's been through some shit. Tough as nails too. Sometimes he likes to sit on a hill and watch the sun rise. Crazy bastard. Sophia is one of the 'City' Gangrel offshoots and is the de facto leader of the City Gangrel. I think Dietrich made her the Burgomeister of Treptow-Köpenick to keep her and her kind around since the Lupines have been getting more uppity lately. I guess it's a fitting place for a Gangrel, considering roughly half of Treptow-Köpenick is a huge park. Annalise is Sophia's childer. Do not let those pretty eyes fool you, she's a killer, just like her Sire. The Giovanni Spoiler Damiano arrive in Berlin about fifty years ago and since that time has managed to get appoint Burgomeister of Reinickendorf. I don't trust the guy though. I got the feeling that he's looking for something and sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. Stefania showed up about the dame time as Damiano. I'm not sure who is the elder, but she is the Primogen. The Lasombra Spoiler Alessandra is the Burgomeister of Neukölln. I think she's the Clan Elder, but only occasionally has served as Primogen over the years. She's really good a messing with the shadows. Hell, I would bet sometimes her dress IS shadow. Kinky. Luther is the Primogen of the Clan. He has those eyes that seem to look at you more a resource than person. Natalia is Allesandra's childer and the youngest of her Clan. I think they might actually be related. The Malkavians Spoiler Gabriel is the Burgomeister of Steglitz-Zehlendorf. He was a lawyer or something before his Embrace. He has this thing about morality and stuff, trying to pdisprove it and prove that even the Kine are mosnters when it comes down to it. My guess is that it's to try to ease his own conscious about something he did before his Embrace. All in all, he seems to have his shit together pretty well though. Dieter is/was a tortured artists type. I guess there was something to his art that made some sense to the Malkavians, so one decided to keep him around. He seems harmless enough. Zoe is hot as hell and lost of fun, but can be batshit crazy at times too. Frankly, I'm not sure how she's even still here. I'm the Nosferatur Primogen and Burgomeister of Pankow, so behave your damn self when visiting and don't fuck with the Jews or monuments. If you do, then you don't stand a chance in hell of seeing me coming. Jost hears quite a lot with those ears. You wanna know something, then you come find one of us. The Ravnos Spoiler Harman may be a wandering Ravnos, but he's been in Berlin for a while and has in fingers in a few working class pies. He's also the Ravnos Primogen, though I think for the Ravnos is it more a burden than honor. Nuri seems to be the Elder of the Clan. It's hard to tell with those tricky gypsies though. Drina is.. well.. I really don't know much about her other than I think she's a neonate and wanders all over the city. The Setites Spoiler Helena is the Burgomeister of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. She's the youngest Burgomeister (I think), and younger than Greta, so I can only imagine her appointment didn't sit well with Greta. Helena is cool though. And if you need something, anything, she can hook you up. Greta seems to be the more sophisticated face of the Setites. You'd think she was a Ventrue, were it not for those eyes. The Toreador Spoiler Hans Hidel is the Burgomeister of Tempelhof-Schöneberg and Eleder of the Clan. He's a pretty cool guy, but a man of extremes. When he's happy, inspired or whatever, then he is REALLY happy and generous. When he's down in the dumps though, stay the fuck outta his way. He seems to consider women a work of art and would have a few dozen childer if he had it his way. So as it is, he has a HUGE herd and has prospective childer queued up, preserving them as ghouls until Dietrich grants him permission to Embrace another. Hans, Dietrich and Dimitri are really tight and go way back, so they all seem to look out for one another. Millisand is one of Hans' childer. At any given time he has a couple of them in the city, but after a century or two, they leave the nest.Millisand has stuck around though. I can't say I object though, since she's easy on the eyes. Fritz is a clock and watch maker. I mean, I guess it's art. Cassie is actually NOT one of Hans' childer. I think she was trying to get into theater, or maybe it was motion pictures, back in the day. She had (and still has) some real talent too, but wasn't willing to pay her dues on the casting couch, if you know what I mean. I can respect that. So she languished in until some Toreador recognized her talent I guess. Hinrich is Cassie's childer and one of the newest Toreador, and a tattoo artist, I think. I never get used to seeing some guy gray hair as a Neonate though. Then again, I've seen young women who may have rubbed elbows with Pharaohs of Egypt, so go figure. Anyways, you can usually smell him coming with that pipe of his. The Tremere Spoiler Naomi is the Burgomeister of Marzahn-Hellersdorf. She's the leader of the clan, but I doubt she's the Elder. Stefan has some plans. I can see it in his eyes. He and Naomi seem to butt-heads quite a bit. Chloe is the youngest of the Tremere, but apparently had some real talent for magic or something, so they nabbed her. She seems col though. Lukas is the Primogen and Clan Elder, but seems to be fine with just sharing his experience and advising. I guess age alone does not make on a leader. The Tzimisce Spoiler Vasile is the Burgomeister of Spandau and Primogen. He's okay though, and in fact rather polite. Just make sure you have some damned manners around him. Alexandru has his little herd/cult that worship him or something and he keep them looking young and attractive. Makes it hard to pick out his ghouls from his herd. Andreea has this weird, underground goth/victorian/fetish club where she fits right in. She's kinda creepy, but as long as you have manners and respect, you really don't have anything to worry about with her. The Ventrue Spoiler Dietrich is the Prince of Berlin. Some would say he IS Berlin. He's been the Prince as far back as anybody can remember, and liking from the inception of the city. He probably even ruled the area before the founding of the city. Either way, he is at least seven hundred years old, probably older. He's put a lot of effort into adapting to the times though. He seems to be a decent enough Prince, though make no bones about it, Berlin is HIS and we are all permitted to reside here. Prince Dietrich, Dimitri and Hans seem to go way back, and I mean WAY back, probably a coterie from back in the day, and still seem tight today. He takes care of them too, making them Burgomeisters of some prime real estate and clearly favoring them. Bringing Prince Dietrich down, IF you could even swing that, would mean going through them first. So... good luck with that. Tsuko is the Burgomeister of Lichtenberg and Primogen. I'm not exactly sure when she was Embraced, but she seems to have a degree of the Prince's favour. She is pretty and fairly soft spoken, but she can rain down fire and brimstone too when she is pissed. Just make sure you have some manners around her, especially if you need something. Benedikt is the Burgomeister of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and the Primogen of the Venturue, which really means he is more or less an aide to the Prince and the person you see about an audience with Dietrich. Lennox is fairly relaxed, for a Venture that is. They guy is not lacking in confidence, but I wouldn't call him arrogant. He knows business, money and how to run people, so it never mattered what company he was taking over or running. People are people, business is business and money is money. Bloodlines Spoiler The Daughters of Cacophony Spoiler The Daughters are the 'choralistes par excellence' of the undead, and hosting a gathering of them is worth high prestige for the Toreador. Nobody is sure which Clan they came from, but the most popular theories are the Toreador or the Malkavians. Either way, they do not claim lineage to any Clan. They seems to just want to spend their Unlives singing. Maybe they'll provide the soundtrack to Gehenna? Sonja is pretty cool. She alternates between a beautiful, melodic tone and this death growl that probably catches the attention of the Giovanni. Rose is a sweet girl, and has the voice of an angel, even for a Daughter. I'm not sure she is cutout for Unlife. Anja I think wishes she were a Brujah on some level. She has voice with just a bit of gravel in the back of it. Damned sexy to hear. The Pale Ones Spoiler This Pale Ones, as we have taken to calling them, popped up sometime back, though nobody is sure from which Clan. They are not claiming a lineage to any Clan either, so it's fairly moot. For whatever reason, Dietrich has let them stay in Berlin and even Embrace a few times to help give the Bloodline a chance, whereas some Princes would just stomp out anything new that wasn't claimed by a Clan. As far as what they do? I'm not entirely sure... yet. Christoph seems to be the founder of the Bloodline. I'm not saying who his Sire is, but his Bloodline is not claimed by any Clan. Astrid is one of Christoph's Childer. She pretty mellow an cool enough. Yvette is the wild Childer (get it?) of the Bloodline. Noir Posted February 5, 2017 Author Share Posted February 5, 2017 The Elysium The entirety of Museum Island, near the center of Mitten (and therefore Berlin itself), is considered Elysium. As Brugomeister of Mitten, Dietrich, with the aid of some of his Brujah, is the unofficial Keeper of Elysium. Any damage or disrespect to the museums (five of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.) on the island is a quick and surefire way to earn the ire of Prince Dietrich, Clan Toreador in general, and likely Dimitri's wrath in particular. The island is large though, and so as to provide a more specific place to meet, especially during the winter months, Dietrich provides something of a private lounge beneath the Hotel Novotel on Museum Island. Access can be gained by way of private underground parking garage and two street level entrances. A third street level entrance is some distance away and very innocuous, connecting by a tunnel to the lounge proper. The expansive lounge is staffed by several ghouls provided by the Ventrue, Toreador and Brujah, serving as doormen. There is a full stocked and staffed bar and small, though excellent kitchen, to provide more mundane refreshments. There are often blood dolls found there, as well as bagged blood, provided as refreshments. The Elysium is not considered a place to visit to feed though, and showing up hungry to take advantage of the hospitality offered is a major faux pas. Prince Dietrich often holds Court in the Elysium. There is no regular date for Court though. Instead, he tends to hold Court 30-90 days after the last Court, sending out word 3-4 weeks (or more) in advance. The Primogen meetings are also often held in the lounge, usually one to two weeks before Court, to work out the agenda with Benedikt, and have any last minute discussions. They will fuck you up. Yeah, on a new moon you might be able to kick some werewolf ass, but even that isn't a sure thing. You see, forget that 'turns from man to wolf on the full moon' BS you've heard. it's about as accurate as all of the vampire folk lore. The moons seems to have some effect, but they can change regardless. They control their change or something, like stopping at points along the way to their wolf form, mixing the traits of wolf and man (yeah, Metallica reference), many of which will stomp a mudhole in your ass. You see, a lone Lupine can fuck up a corterie of vampires. But the best part? They're fucking pack animals. You might only see one, but the rest of the pack is likely nearby and ready to go apeshit on your dumbass. They are tough as hell. I've seen one strangle a guy with it's own intestines. Like, seriously. It's belly was sliced open, gut-ropes come spilling out, so it grabbed them and used them strangle a guy. I shit you not. And then it stuffed them back in like a spring snake in a can of fake peanuts and it healed up... in like a minute. I've seen their bodies kick out bullets almost s fast as a SMG could put them in. I don't how they keep going and regenerating that fast, but they do. And if you think that silver is gonna save your ass, then good luck. From what I have seen, silver is as effective on werewolves as garlic is on vampires and mostly seems to just piss them off. Well, piss them off more, I guess would be more accurate. And to make it even better, they seem to be able to smell us too. And by "us" I don't mean "Nosferatu". Best as I can tell, Kindred smell somewhat 'dead' to them or something, so maybe some of the pink skins might not have that 'dead' scent, or might be harder to detect. I dunno. You know that though? It's doesn't matter if you just avoid them. The Lupines have been getting more uppity recently too, so watch out for them. Anyways, there i at least one pack of Lupines in the area. I'm pretty sure this guy's the Alpha... He name is Derrik Belfort. He is, or was, a cage fighter too. I guess he was so overflowing with whoop ass that he just has to vent some on some poor sap. Fun times. ~ Mages ~ To my knowledge, there are as many forms of magic as there are Disciplines, so when talking about all the different mages, it's a matter of huge generalities. Now, granted, almost all, of the witch doctors, wizards, magicians or whatever are total fakes (well, some believe they can do stuff, but they can't). But sprinkled in there are the real thing, kinda like the prize in a cereal box. They seem to prefer subtlety in their magic (kind like us and the Masquerade), mages have proven to be fully capable of turning a kindred to stone or making street lamps emit sunlight and other wacky shit like that. So watch out. And the funny thing is, the right people are totally accepting of it too. So they can get away with some crazy stuff and people not bat an eye because yeah, they expect the old gypsy mystic to be able to curse people or whatever. Around here they mostly come off as well-to-do Kine, probably using magic to make money or something (like literally making money by transmuting lead into gold or some shit is my bet). They seem to have a thing for colors. It's not a statement of power like wizards in Lord of the Rings or some shit. It's more like the color of their clans or covens or whatever. So I guess is a "Mage Pride" thing. There is no formal truce or anything with the mages. Now informally, is another matter. We've always had a kind of unspoken non-aggression pact with them. Apparently, they don't have an absolute hard on for our destruction, so why pick a fight if we don't need to? That said, they seem to tolerate us (at least from their point of view) and any dust ups are between individuals. Generally though, if they roll onto your turf to do some ritual or something, you can usually approach them and they will often apologize and leave. Wait. Let me clarify something. The mages seem to have little issue with us, but boy they sure seem to fucking HATE the Tremere. My guess is there was some betrayal there, or they see them as a perversion of magic or maybe they just wanna protect their turf and keep vampires out of magic. I dunno and I don't really care. Anyways, there are avenues of approach if we must talk to each other. Like this guy... This is Aldrich Burkhard. He's the elder statesman of the mages. He's well past a hundred years old, I know that much. He's approachable, but don't get stupid or try to intimidate him. He's not to be trifled with. ~ Undead ~ You really think we're the only undead out there? Seriously? There's other types too. Other beings who gave the Grim Reaper the finger and stayed in their bodies when he showed up to collect their souls or had spiritis shove back into corpses or are possessed by the dead or something. I dunno. I'm not a fucking Giovanni, the back-stabbing, blood stealing bastards. Regardless, they somehow got a ticket to the unlife. Some seem more or less like normal people, and others are shambling piles of rotting flesh staggering around (thankfully in out of the way places). They are rare though, and by and large seem to just want to live their unlives quietly, so usually they are not much of an issue. ~ Everything Else ~ There's other stuff out there too. There always is. We exist in another world that merely overlaps with that of the Kine, full of all sorts of strange, wondrous and terrifying shit. The haunted house often actually is and those urban legends usually have more than a grain of truth to them. Noir Posted March 26, 2017 Author Share Posted March 26, 2017 CLUB verwöhnen (spoil) When Annalisa felt it was time to leave London at the turn of the century she knew that Berlin, the place of her Vampiric birth, was where she wanted to go. But this time she didn't want to just come for a few years this time she wanted to settle. She left London in early 2000 for Paris the plan was to lose herself there and emerge in a couple of years with a new identity in Berlin. She sent Beth and Sidney ahead of her and they began building the foundation for the future. They located a decent entertainment district with several clubs already active. They chose two of them and began investing in them, not to take over , but rather to strengthen them and make sure that they had the cash to survive any downturn in business. They also acquired an 4 story apartment building in the same location. The apartments over the next five years were bought out and the tenants relocated. Then the renovations began. By this time Annalisa had herself moved back into Berlin. This was around 2005 – 2006 They turned the first floor of the building into a club/restaurant. This club was not designed to be the final product in fact Annalisa supported the neighboring clubs more than she did her own. The club struggled for a few years underwent several name and style changes until it closed at the beginning of 2010. But by then people were used to there being a club at the location. Later that year Annalisa opened what would become her unlifes work, Club verwöhnen, or 'spoil' in English. The first floor was opened as a full nightclub featuring the best house music and Djs from across the continent it is divided into two separate dance rooms each which would feature different styles of music every night they were open. The dance/music rooms are separated by sound proofed lounge rooms where people could congregate and take a break from the nonstop music. The first floor also houses the kitchens which serve all of the clubs. Club food from the kitchen can be ordered and served in the lounges. The second floor was more intimate with one club and several private lounges as well as a full service dining room. The club here was smaller and was designed to showcase both high end Djs and Live acts, local and international. The club could be accessed from within the first floor clubs via stairs but entry was subject to an additional cover charge. It could also be entered by a dedicated entrance from outside and from the restaurant. The restaurant dining room could be accessed by a dedicated entrance outside as well, and did not require a cover charge unless the patrons wished to enter the club proper. The restaurant servers gourmet cuisine by an award winning chef. The third floor was even more intimate and was a private club and open to members only. Single time memberships could be purchased for 100Euro for attendance at special concerts featuring international stars. These shows were always intimate and usually acoustic or solo performances. The third floor also featured a variety of private rooms for the use of members and their guests. Kindred were welcome and catered to on this floor. Security and discretion were paramount on the third floor.the third floor was accessed via stairs and an elevator located on the second floor and via a private elevator from the first floor. The fourth floor held offices for the club, storage, and apartments for staff. Annalisa has an apartment on the fourth floor but it is not her real haven. There is a secret elevator which connects to a sub basement built during the war. This basement has a tunnel which goes under the street to the apartments across the way where she has an apartment under another name. This is her actual haven. She owns this building as well under a shell corporation that Beth has set up for secret holding. The Acts that Annalisa bring in are meant to compliment the other two working clubs in relation to hers. She maintains her investment in both clubs but it is as a silent partner only any business suggestions she does is done through mild suggestion. The other two clubs are Madame Claude and Kvartira 62. The three establishments are all located within easy walking distance and provide the full verity of musical entertainment which the public seeks. Aside from the restaurant at spoil the area features many other fine dinning opportunities. The first floor clubs are built to be decorated for the individual shows or Djs but in general are of the Techno Underground Style. Below are some pictures from the two dance clubs and a representative of the between lounges. The Second floor is more a traditional club setting with a modifiable stage. The restaurant shares the look and vibe of the club. The overall decor is changed twice a year around the end of spring and the beginning of winter to reflect the seasons. The third floor club is done up as a modern day cabaret with the tables being movable for custom arrangement and to provide more or less seating as desired.
