The Story Guide Posted March 22, 2014 Share Posted March 22, 2014 Savage Worlds is a fantastic system if you're looking for a rules-light, quick paced, high adventure game. There is pretty much nil for social mechanics and the catch-phrase for the system is Fast, Furious, and Fun! The idea is to not get bogged down in mechanics any more than absolutely necessary and to keep the game clipping along with high adventure. It's a fun system, if a little bland/thin at some points. It's also fantastic for large battles (Showdowns!). ,, The system very much sets a tone for the game, but if that's the direction you're wanting to go in (high somewhat pulpy adventure), then it's just perfect.
