Aberrant: Infinite Earth - Cosmos Nova - The New Girl [finished]

Sasha Mewes

It was the last day of summer. Sasha was enjoying the last days of warmth in her Bohemian home. She had a few friends over and it was somewhat a subued affair. Music, drinks, dancing, socializing, watching the summer sun go down for the last time this year. It was quite beautiful. After this she would have to go back to the States and be assigned to some droll mission by the DSA.
While she didn't hate her work, she was coasting through these nova recruits. If it wasn't for her insatiable vice for traveling, she'd have tired out in the first few months. That and the DSA's handling of her personal life. She had seen Connor since their 'breakup', but it was formal business work. They both looked for something more than that. Sasha was a worldly type, but she couldn't help be frustrated that her mentor and friend was off limits to her. Though these were things she tried to keep her mind off of.
Later that night, after the festivities were over and everyone was gonee - a couple of cute normals she decided to keep for a while, but they were fast asleep - she slipped outside to starwatch. The warm breeze would be something she would miss. She looked out to the quietwater beach. It was peaceful and serene. That serenity was broken when her phone buzzed. "It's three in the morning," she mumbled at the still buzzing phone. Normally she would go on about her business, but it seemed this call WAS her business. Horst, head director of the DSA.
She tapped the OK to open up the call. "Hello, darling," she said opening with an upbeat greeting, "How are you on this fine autumn morning?" Of course Horst was understanding of the pleasantries, but he had no time to chat. He quite bluntly told her that she was going to be DSA ambassador to Department Zero. That stung Sasha. Last time she was in Japan She almost made a fool of herself in front of their head agents and gained the emnity of some Russians. Fortunately the DSA knew neither of those tidbits. The DSA got a glowing report of her impromptu visit to Japan.
They gave her a couple of weeks to get ready, as she would be living in Japan for a while. The amount of time she would be there would depend on how well it went. That gave her time to crash course on the Japanese language. She also did Russian, just in case she ran into any angry mob bosses. The plane ride was first class. Six planes later - Miami to Atlanta, Atlanta to Dallas, Dallas to Los Angeles, Los Angeles to Honolulu, Honolulu to Tokyo - she was in Tokyo.
Department Zero met her with a limo ride. It was quite fun talking to the driver, an older man who didn't know Spanish or English for the matter, so Sasha had the chance to brush up on her learned language. While she was expecting to go straight to work, the limo actually made its way to a nice apartment building. They had set her up with a penthouse overlooking the bay. While Sasha was accustom to these things, she wasn't sure Department Zero or DSA would go this all out for a liaison.
There was a note and gift basket on the bed. She took the note first to read it. "Please make youself comfortable. This is all yours for the time you are here. Your luggage will be delivered shortly. The apartment is yours as long as you are in Tokyo. Enjoy your stay. PS There will be a report meeting with Department Zero this evening. We will send transportation." The gift basket was full of tourist type attraction things. Then again, being a seasoned traveler, she could spot these comps a mile away. Still that massage did look comfortable.
The next few hours was preperation. Sasha Tetris'd everything into the penthouse with feng shui accuracy. After that, she took a nice long hot bath. After being on the plane for nearly a day she thought she could use some relaxation. Finally after fliping through some sightseeing planners, she got ready for the meeting. A black strapless evening dress that seemed to accentuate everything perfectly. A little make up, some heels and a ruffle through her hair and she was ready. Now all she had to do was wait for the call of her ride.

For once, Long himself was out tonight. He'd been enlisted to escort the new Liaison from the DSA. He shrugged, since it was no longer Connor, they weren't as close as before.

,,

He had no idea who they sent, though as he appeared at the door of the apartment the liaison had been provided, he frowned. Her. He'd done his best not to think about her since her visit, focusing on his children and his work. Still, he'd been unable to banish thoughts of her completely, and now, well... "Interesting Times await you" indeed, I'm never opening another fortune cookie.

,,

He calmed himself, as much as he could and drew himself up. He had on shorts and a black tanktop, with his black leather jacket over it. He knocked on her door. "Ms. Mewes it's time to report in." His voice was a rich rumble, and he had to hold back alot to keep his tone Neutral.

This will not be an easy thing.

That voice. Really? They sent him? Sasha's head swam in several different directions. Well, it can't be worse than last time. Still, that voice, that majestic form; she still wanted him. Though his wife had died three months ago. What would she look like, a vulture? Then again, maybe she could comfort him in his alone time. Even though she wanted him, she had to keep this meeting professional. She took a deep breathe and exhaled.
When she opened the door and saw he was in casual clothes, she smiled. "It looks like I am overdressed for this meeting," she curtsied, "I apologize for dressing up." She chuckled and then spoke in broken beginner's Japanese, "I even had a greeting planned out." She returned back to English, "Please, come in. if we have time I can get into something more comfortable?"
After the giant of a tiger man walked in her abode Sasha was mentally ecstatic, but outwardly she was cool and calm. "Excuse me, I'll only be a second," she said pointing at the living room for him to sit in. "I just got here today and have not seen any of the sights," she said a bit solefully as she walked in to her room. Leaving the door open, she continued to talk to her guest as she was out of view of him. "Your people are very polite and nice," she said in an upbeat tone as she kicked off her heels and dropped her dress.

He nodded. "It isn't that I am under dressed, they just make few outfits that I can wear. You look very nice, Ms. Mewes, enough that I'd say several of those you'll meet tonight may suffer heart attacks from gazing at you.."

,,

He stood, waiting for her. "Still I would prefer you to be comfortable, the DSA has been a great ally to us in Department Zero, and Connor in particular helped rebuild one of our coastal towns hit by the Tsunami, and I welcome you back to Japan, in the same spirit of friendship."

,,

"Courtesy is a virtue that is quite prized here, though I will say, you will likely be stared at, mostly in awe. Japan, as a whole, loves novas. Native novas here enjoy massive popularity, and I admit, Connor's work certainly has garnered him millions of fans here."

,,

"Perhaps when I am next off shift, I can show you the sights, as it were. You will be staring here awhile it would be a wise decision to come to know Japan's culture." There was no rebuke only sincerity in his tone.

Sasha giggled under her breath when Long talked about her causing a scene. Heart attacks? Maybe, but she was sure he turned a few heads. She swayed in front of the mirror comparing a few casual night dresses. She wanted to be pleasing to the eye, but not so much that she was outstanding. Still, she was bound and determined to see Long happy one way or another. She thought of bringing him in her bedroom to do one of those dress montages like you'd see in some cheesy eighties movies, but she didnt know how much time they had.
She grimaced and frowned when Long mentioned Connor. He was one of the pieces of her heart that she couldn't interact with personally. Right now she had to interact with Long. That picked her up. She snapped a picture of herself before she got dressed, a little tease for someone. Stockings, flats and a little black dress later she was dressed.
She walked out of the bedroom as she straightened herself up. "I would love to see the sights," she confirmed happily when he offered, "Although maybe staring would probably be best saved for pictures." She slipped her phone in a purse on a table next to Long. Speaking of staring, she knew she couldn't stay here all night. While it wasn't obvious (or maybe it was with Long's senses) she eyed every bit of muscle on him while reaching out a hand to him. "I am guessing you are my chauffer for tonight then," she chuckled.

"I will be providing that service, yes. It's faster and far less attention drawing.I imagine, I will be providing that service for your entire stay, if it's what you prefer over a car, or walking."

,,

He nodded, "The more sedate attire will be appreciated." He snapped his fingers, and a warpgate opened to the interior of an office. "We'll arrive in my office." He gestured for her to enter and smiled.

When she went through, it tingled slightly, and then emerged in a very spartan office, with a desk filing cabinet, and a visitor's chair. There were no pictures on the wall, and it looked as though he didn't ever use it.

Sasha was awed at the warpgate. "They have these here," she asked with wonder, "I thought these were kept in lockdown in England." Slowly she walked in, it felt weird and when she came out on the other side she patted herself to make sure everyting was there.
With a sigh of relief she looked around. It was a small office. It looked lonely. Surely this couldn't be his office. Then again, Long was a bit of a stoic. She sighed happily, taking her hand back with a smile. "This is quite a workspace you have," she nodded, leaning on the edge of the desk with her legs crossed. "Will we be meeting here? This hardly seems like the place for something formal as you mentioned."
Smiling, she looked up to him, trying to meet his mighty gaze. Some said she was intimidating, and even though she wasn't afraid of him, she was certainly aware of his predatory aura trying to overcome hers.

He shook his head, "No, it isn't here, this is where I am when I have to be at the office itself. it also is convenient, since we don't want to advertise our presence. Thus my gate ability comes in handy even moreso." he met her gaze evenly, his own dark blue eyes seemingly at odds with his asian heritage.

,,

"There are monitors of course to record if I'm here, and when I arrive like just now, so building security doesn't completely panic." he moved to the door, where two gentlemen were, in crisp grey uniforms. "Gentlemen, we're here for the meeting, is everyone else ready?"

"Hai, they've just finished Dinner, it is in Conference Room One." He looked back to Sasha and nodded. "Come then, we missed the meal, but then they never serve enough for novas. If you're hungry I can make arrangements later tonight."

,,

The two security personnel stood aside, Long's presence could be terrifying, when one was up close and could feel his raw power. "If you'd come with me, Ms. Mewes, we can see to the formal needs of the evening, and get them out of the way." There was a tone of solidarity there. He hated the formailities, and thought it a waste, but still his superiors made the call, and it didn't interfere too much with his duties as a father. Naoko was at home with the children, so he could play chaffeur for one night...

The meeting was not as boring as Sasha imagined it was. There was some communication between her and the heads of Department Zero, a little gift giving on both sides, pictures were taken speeches were read and papers were signed. This was all so droll in Sasha's mind though. She could be touring the city, the prefecture, the countryside. Though she did not look like she was bored. She went through the motions very well. Like she'd done it a hundred times before.
After the hoopla died down and the formalities were over. She found Long again. With an almost wordless suggestion she smiled. He knew it was time to make good on his bargain. "I haven't eaten today," she said in her native language. She was glad Long knew it well enough to answer back, "I'm sure there's some place around here to satiate an appetite." While there was a subtle tease in her voice, she couldn't wait to see the this place from a local's perspective. Hopefully with less dancing mobsters.

For Long, the meeting was more of the same, with the exception of her presence. She had them eating from her hand when she wished, seemingly without any effort. Finally it came to an end, and she came to him. "Well, I know several places to dine, it depends on what you're in the mood for. "Going by your attire at least, There are some nicer places here, but there's no mandated dresscode. Not that they'd bar any nova from entering, especially you or I."

,,

He looked at her. "No dancing mobsters, though there may be a band." There was a twinkle in his eyes as he spoke referencing that first night they met. "So it comes down to do you want local food, or something more western?" The question behind the question was "Cooked food, or raw?"

,,

He seemed far more at ease than he had been before, which was good. The meeting had largely bored him.

Sasha smirked when Long mentioned dancing mobsters. Maybe he was a giant kitty mind reader also. Then again, if he ever got into her head he'd see such... fun things. She tapped her foot for a moment, thinking of what she wanted. "A local place would be nice," she spoke up, "particularly somewhere relaxing."
The Warpgate opened up again and Sasha sighed and shook her head. She scertainly wasn't afraid of these things, but she'd seen enough bad scifi to know what could happen. Though what was on the otherside was worth it. A picturesque small garden and a small paper house with a sliding door.
"Long, this is beautiful," She said as she leaned her head on his arm while she looked at the scene. She had almost forgotten about her hunger as she looked at the place. She looked up at her host and gently took his arm as she straightened up. "I bet you're full of surprises," she said as they walked to the door. They both too their shoes off at the door.
If Sasha was a less composed person she would have been giddy by now, but that was going on in her head. She loved new experiences and this? This was probably the first authentic place she'd been outside of walking into someone's house in the middle of nowhere.

He chuckled inwardly, sensing her excitement. "This place isn't particularly fancy, you won't find it on any big guide of high cuisine, but the portions are large, the food is authentic, and the taste is just like mother used to make." He walked along a little path through garden with her to the door, and knocked on the frame gently. " Sogen-sama, We've come for dinner."

,,

There was a rasp of cloth as someone moved behind the door, opening it to reveal an elderly Japanese man, His dark brown eyes lighting up at the sight of two novas at his door. "Ahh, young master Hideyoshi, and such a lovely young lady at your arm. please, please, come in, I have a small party in the back room, but otherwise I have an empty house this night."

,,

"Not so empty anymore, my friend. "Ms. Mewes and I would like the table overlooking the pond on the east side, if possible."

,,

"Yes of course, Will you need a menu for your guest? I already know your order. I have some fresh bluefin and even some swordfish, if you fancy that." Ryu nodded. "please bring a menu, and some tea, in the quantities you are aware of that I consume it."

,,

The spry little old man in his worn robe nodded, and led them to a table, overlooking a meticulously maintained koi pond, it was picturesque, and he smiled, seating Sasha first, then himself as he smiled at her. He returned with a menu and a large pot of tea, then left them to decide what they'd like. "Order whatever you like. Pretty much anything from Japan is available, and will be cooked ready to serve."

,,

The menu was quite curious, there were no prices printed upon it.

Sasha took in everything aroun her. The quaint sights of minimalistic beauty, the smiell of burning burning inscense, the sounds of almost silence except for the low mumble of their voices and the night. If she could savor this forever she would have. Sasha always enjoyed the atmosphere of new places when she travelled. She wondered why she didn't come to Japan sooner. Then again, she wouldn't have had her special host, would she?
While she was quite impressed with the scenery, she kept collected and calm. The table was low to the ground with plush looking pillows to sit or lean on, depending on how you approached it. Of course it was sized for the tiger man, so it was a little bit bigger than usual. She had seen the sitting done before, she was supposed to on the back of her legs, knees under the table. Due to the size of the table, it almost reacted her chest. Then again, Long looked comfortable.
When she was given the menu, she thanked the waiter. She remembered her first foray into this country's restaurant scene and sighed with a reminiscent mix of feelings. Obviously it could have went better, but she couldn't deny it was some kind of fun. She quickly scrolled through the very specialized menu. "Sukiyaki for me, please," she said graciously to the waiter, "some sake would be nice also." This time she wasn't bartering with a touchpad, she actually knew the language. It was heavily accented, and very beginner, but it worked enough for the waiter to smile nod and scuttle off.
She wondered if the meal would come out huge like Long's was. She felt like she could eat a bear, but wanted to be polite about it. She looked to Long with a smile. "It's beautiful," she finally said her thoughts. Well, her thoughts of the place. The scenery wasn't the only beautiful thing here. She was mentally kicking herself for this lust. He was a current widower. More removed from the last time she was here, but still, she didn't know if he was still grieving. She wanted to comfort his pain emotionally as well as physically. She didn't want to ruin this perfect moment with sorrow.
"So for the trip has went swimmingly," she nodded, "the meeting was quite enlightening." She stared at Long for a second, taking in the way he was sitting, privately eyeing his finer points. "Your tailor," she said with a smirk, "I must hand it to them. They make fine wear. Maybe you should introduce me sometime in the near future? I must see what else you have in your closet."

He chuckled. "Nothing to see in there, save more of what you see now, and a suit, and tux."

,,

He nodded. "my mother brought be here when I was young. Sogen taught her to cook for my father, and later for me. He even taught me to cook, when i expressed interest in learning." He smiled, aware that he was showing some of his large, predatory pointed teeth. "Still, I do love to come back here and eat his cooking, it reminds me of simpler times."

,,

No sooner had he finished speaking, Sogen turned the corner and smiled. "You were an apt pupil, your cuisine is quite good, Ryu."

,,

"I prefer the master's."

,,

"You are kind to an old man. It will be abit over half an hour to prepare everything. I assume you want the normal portions for yourself, and will the lady be taking her meal nova sized?"

Sasha smirked when the old man mentioned the size of her dinner. "Yes," she said jokingly in a bid to lighten the air, "I'll take your finest rice field and your biggest cow, please?" The old man was amused as he went to the kitchen. She turned her attention back to Long, "I've never had authentic cuisine from Japan. This will be a treat, I just know it."
Once the old man was out of sight, she sighed happily. There was a moment of silence as the two eyed each other. It was just her and Long in that room alone. This is the first time the two had been alone without anywhere to go. The sake was brought out and placed on the table. Sasha thanked the old man and he shuffled off again.
Sasha thanked Long as he poured drinks for them both. "I've never heard of this place in your bio. Are you sure we aren't in some little shared dream?" she was half flirting and half trying to get some story out of him. She was sure his story was ten times better than what she had done in her life.

He smiled. "There's much that is not in my Bio. I kept work and pleasure separate before becoming a nova." Seeing his big teeth would intimidate most, but it was actually a friendly smile.

,,

"This is no dream, though I admit a certain amount of thought in that direction myself, I'm enjoying an evening meal with a lovely young lady, something I'd not expected to do again."

,,

he poured the sake for them both, toasted her. "To good company." and drank. Alcohol held no effect for him, but it was a comforting taste. "There's actually not much to tell. I was an only child, and decided to not follow my father 's buisness concerns, and be what I always wanted to be, a police officer."

"After they died, the Force was my life, I lived in a relatively nice apartment while my home went unused. An old family friend looked after it and everything else to our mutual benefit."

Sasha smiled softly, almost meekly when Long smiled full of teeth. Back when she drew pictures like him, they never came out quite as cool or sexy as the genuine product. Then again, she'd improved a lot since them. She could probably paint him photographically now. She imagined him in several different poses as he told his short story. Some of them involved her. Though this was just window shopping for the time.
"To good company," the glasses raised to meet each other. The sake was warm. She heard that warm sake was supposed to go straight to your head. Then again, she hadn't experienced nary a buzz in nearly three years. She was sure that the offworlders probably had something stronger, but then there was not much good press for any of them. Ah well, she'd had mostly fun for the life of being a nova.
"Sounds like you've been through quiite a journey," she nodded before taking another drink from the small glass. She let the moment sit there. She enjoyed the quietness of the evening and the beauty of the view. Sure there was a ruckus in the back, but it was muffled. Food was coming, so they had to share these moments. "Long," she said in a tone that was sensual and comforting, "if you ever need to talk about anything. I'll be here for you."

The much larger nova looked at her, and nodded. "Ryu will suffice between us, Ms. Mewes. That name is for the public, the persona they need to see. The name I've just given you is the one my friends use."

,,

His tail flicked beside him, a hint that there was more left unsaid. He poured more Sake for them, and sat with her admiring the view, both inside and through the window. "What of you? I have read the dossier provided by the DSA, but that is such a dry thing, it tells little of the soul of the woman it speaks of. I would like to know more."

"Sasha," her still silky voice got a little more friendlier, "If we're going to be on a first name basis, call me Sasha." She sipped her rice wine, taking this all in. There were two things that Sasha wanted right now. First she wanted to see Japan, all of Japan. It was the traveling spirit in her. The other wanted Ryu. Even though her mind told her to stay away, everything else pulsed when he so much as breathed. It felt a lot like when she was with Connor.
"What of me," she asked rhetorically with a small chuckle, "theres so much on me out there. I guess I could start from the top?" She tapped her cup and Ryu filled it again. "I was born and raised in Nicaragua. I didn't get out much. I drew and wrote a lot. Eventually good enough to write and draw for some major companies." She took a sip of the sake, it was quiet delicious. She wondered if there was some to take home. "When I did eventually poke my head out of my shell I got zapped by the stange powers fairy who told me to travel the world. That's my story."
She smirked, "I'm guessing that wasn't satisfactory was it? The individual stories of someone's life are much more interesting to me than a skim over of their upbringing. It's why I could never give my characters more than a paragraph or two along with a personality. I wanted to see what I could build day to day. I guess it affected me really. I'm much more spontaneous than planned."
She set her cup on the table and leaned back on the pillowish seat behind her. "I'm not knocking this job, it definitely has it's perks, but sometimes I wish I could take an invite to anywhere. Like before." She looked out to the garden and up to the moon and then back to Ryu. Her voice got playfully flirtatious, "I'm sure you could take me anywhere, Ryu."

His dark blue eyes narrowed. "I certainly could. I could show you anything in the world you wish to see, or the world from the moon, if you wanted." He shook his head, and pulled back. he was visibly fighting back his desires, his fur bristling slightly. "I think, that once we have eaten I should take you back to your apartment. Tomorrow will be a new day.."

,, ,,

He didn't like the words, what he wanted was to take her away and spend the evening giving her all she asked for.

Normally when the thought of travel entered Sasha's brain it was a joyous occasion. She would have thought about all the places Ryu could take her. The moon, however silly it was, was a nice gesture. Her primal instincts, however, dug at her. This was becoming less of a question of 'Should I do this?' and more 'Should I wait for dinner to pass?'

However she kept her composure. Sitting up again, her eyes met his. No words were exchanged, but he knew what was eating him inside was doing the same to her. "Ryu," her voice purred, "This night could last a little longer, past the meal even. It's way to young to waste. I'm sure a trip back to my apartment would give both of us time to plan for what comes next though."

He nodded. "Yes, I think you're right there." He would have to leave fast, or it'd be impossible to leave at all he knew. He could smell her desire, and it served to only make leaving harder. Damn. Soon enough though, the food was brought, and he thanked their host politely. He dug in, letting the food distract him from the unspoken offers and promises of the evening, should he only let it happen.

Sasha thanked the waiter. She knew tipping was a rude thing to do in Japan. But she couldn't leave this poor man empty handed. Once she learned where in the world this was, she was going to visit at least once a week. It felt homey. Not like her family home. Not like her vacation home. But the man gave off a father figure aura. Like someone she could trust.
As Ryu dug into his food Sasha pondered what the tiger man was thinking. She picked at her own food - picking at it nova style, where a small bit for them could have been a whole meal for a starving child in a third world country - as she watched him. For the first time they were quiet. It was a peaceful quiet, the calm before the storm.
"Ryu," her voice still carrying the sensual aura. As he perked his head up from his food, she smiled at him. Playfully taunting she swiped at his food with her chopsticks, but took nothing. "Tell me, gracious host," she said musing as she sat back down, "where would you like to take me?" The flirty innuendo in that question was apparent. "There's so much I haven't seen. I've never been to Paris. Maybe you could take me there."

"I could take you there easily enough, though it would cause an incident. Novas don't have the freedoms in europe we do elsewhere."

He looked at her, and his tail had begun stroking her calf idly. "Where I would like to take you then, Perhaps the top of Mount Fuji, to give you one of the best views in Japan."

,,

He smiled at her. "Though for me, I have that already here where I sit." The larger nova continued to eat, his movements were precise and meticulous, he was a very clean eater, wasting nothing at all.

,,

"I think though, Where would You like to be taken, Sasha? is a better question at this point."

Sasha nodded as Long mentioned the nova suppression in Europe. It was quite sad really. Before the novafication of this world there were some awesome places in Europe and the Middle East that she would have love to have seen. The sightseer in her balked at the isolation of such beatuiful places. France, Italy, Greece, all off limits now.
When his tail touched her, Ryu could feel Sasha spark very slightly. She didn't think the tail was that long or prehensile. As the tail caressed her, she played games with it ever so slightly teasing it. It seemed very sensitive to touch. She could pet it and seemingly guide it with a simple nudge. She could only wonder what this felt like to him, though he didn't seem to mind.
"Mountains are cold," she sighed playfully, "I'm more of a warm weather girl. Where ever you take me would have to be warm and cozy with something beautiful to look at." She smirked, "I'm sure their would be some sights to see, but I'll leave the camera out of this."

He nodded. "I thought of the mountain mostly because it was unique, and private. Though I suppose I do know of a place that will be warm, and private as well." At least stopping at her place would give him a chance to think of something else, if she didn't like that.. "Alright, I'm sure i can think of something that we'll both enjoy." The way she stroked and teased his tail did little to calm him, and the bigger nova sighed inwardly. He was nearing the end of his restraint.

,,

The rest of the meal went well enough, the food and service were excellent, and Long left a sizable "Gift" for both the waiter and the proprietor and chef. As they finally stood to leave he offered Sasha his arm, which she took, before walking outside, and opening a gate back to the interior of her apartment.

What was left of the meal didn't last very long. Sasha happened to enjoy the quiet meal and her handsome date. Yeah, she considered this a date now. Her mind boggled at why she didn't just call a spade a spade from the get go. Dinner, flirting, possible travel and a good night kiss. Of course if it went further than that, she wouldn't mind at all. She had seemingly forgot why she was holding back in the first place; drowned out by her very active libido.
When Ryu offered his armand the Warpgate opened, Sasha gleefully accepted. It felt like a contranst, while his fur was soft and comfortable his muscles were very well-defined and dense. They were back at her apartment in a split second. She didn't even mind the instantaneous travel scrambling her. She had other thoughts on her mind. She look up to him with a smoldering warm smile, "Thank you for dinner." They stood there for the longest moment she could remember. What was a second felt like a charged forever. "I need to freshen up a bit," she said breaking the silence, "the shower won't take long. You can wait out here if you wish," she pointed to the couch.
Sasha slowly walked to the bathing room, as if to shw Ryu every bit of movement she could before disappearing into her private place,

He couldn't help but watch her saunter away, his senses attuned to everything, with acuity that missed nothing at all. He shuddered once she was gone, knowing he should stop this before it went too far. He could hear the water on her skin, smell the soaps she lathered herself with, the scent mixing with her own, and felt his control slipping, even as he tried to cordon off the feeling she stirred in him.

,,

I should leave, right now.. The thought played through his head, even as his body began to betray him, starting to sit down, when his commlink crackled to life. "Long, there is a disturbance in Shibuya, Tarayama plaza, We've got shots fired. I need you there immediately. Drop our new liason at home, and get there on the quick."

,,

Thank all the Gods....

"I'll be on my way." he keyed it off and nodded. He was so relieved. He moved by the door to the other room. "Sasha, much as I don't want to, there's a disturbance I have to respond to. You stay here, we can do this again if you like. I have to keep my promise after all."

As he was leaving through another gate. "Thanks for a wonderful evening.." Then he was gone, out to the disturbance, leaving her alone, and all their fantasies unfulfilled, simply deferred for now...

The shower was about freshening up, though both of them knew it wasn't about going on a trip to anywhere. Even if they ended up somewhere other than here it wouldn't have been a sightseeing trip. Still, Sasha played with Ryu's senses from the other room. Her shower consisted of an aromatic mix of coconut scent and her own scent. She knew he could tell which was stronger. Alas, Ryu's determination was the strongest.
When he came to the door she's was half soapy and expecting him to walk in. The vision of him cleaning her off with his tongue was one of the many thoughts on her mind. When he started talking about leaving she shut off the water and walked over to the door. He was gone before she could get there. Even though she was disheartened, she knew the job was more important than them. But dammit all if it wasn't frustrating.
She went to finish her shower, allowing her own carress to replace what she was missing. It wasn't what she wanted, but it would have to do. After she cleaned off, put on her night robe and walked to the bedroom. "No, not here," she sighed. Though like a lightbulb turning on, she had an idea. She went to the living area and grabbed her phone. She snapped a few photos of herself, each of them more teasing than the last.
She was about to send them to Ryu when when a bit of common sense snapped at her. She couldn't send these now. He was working. She sighed and saved them for later, then opened up a text message. 'Ryu, had a wonderful time tonight. If you're not busy, you can come back anytime you want. Love, Sasha.' She sighed happily and sent the message. Luckily the building had a nice gym. She suited up for a workout and spent her night there.
