Regarding XP

- I'm going to be awarding experance more or less weekly, as long I get a post by Sunday of a particular week folks will get 4 xp.

- Bonus xp will also be granted on occation.. at this time, a profile post by Sun will give someone a bonus of 4 xp.

Regarding Backgrounds.. while you had to spend for them at character generation, I'm not charging for any backgrounds gained in play, for example, if you find a artifact, attune it or store it on your ship, it's yours... if you make an ally of a abyssal exalt by your actions, you get an ally, no xp cost for such things.

It's big, after all, folks do need a place to relax, and the planets in the system don't do that well, except within some of the manses which make the place more livable. Of course, it was built by a entity focused on maintaining a degree of justice throughout some of the most lawless places in the galaxy, but the Star Marshals are more relaxed about some things then you would think of such a entity, generally if it's consensual and doesn't cause harm to anyone there's somewhere on the station you can find it, of course, you can also get to the local portal to the Celestial Mountain from the station, which has a lot of potential

btw, experance gain for this week

Dan: 8 (4 for posting, 4 for profile)

Kestrel: 8 (4 for posting, 4 for profile)

Karren: 8 (4 for posting, 4 for profile)

Sophia: 4 (4 for posting, 0 for profile)

Salvatrice: 0 (No posts or profile)

Yes, posting in a week is an easy 4 xp.. and I'm rewarding folks who have gone ahead and posted the character profile by now, late profiles in the profile thread can gain about half the award, 2 xp, at this point... posting any action from your pc in the next week will net you another 4 xp.

  • 2 weeks later...

You may spend freely, training times however matter, favored abilities don't have a training time though.. but the ship is going to be docked for at least a week for the captain and crew to get to know their new crew mates, so folks will have that much time for training, before you leave the dock [2 weeks if the Captain pushes for it]

Updating XP for the bonus I offered

Dan: 22

Kestrel: 22

Karren: 22

Sophia: 18

Zed: 8

Janos: 6

Sun Kai: 6

Right now, as soon as the fight between Sophia and Scarlet is over, and Zed is assigned to the Voidswimmer, going to end this thread and start a new one, a bit of a xp bonus will be offered then, and enough down time for some training and getting to know members of the crew, then the ship will launch and being pirate hunting.

Hey Krul, do we have the ok to start up little mini-threads for the downtime between boarding and getting orders for purpose of downtime actions and interactions?

I've got some things I would like Janos to do and am frankly ok with handwaving them, but I would really rather not, know what I mean? Mas description = better.

Only thing I would need assuming this is ok is a general time window or an idea of what sort of time we have between boarding and pirate hunting.

(Warstriders anyone? :D)

I was about to say some things about that, training and if you wish to do some construction work, that would also be two weeks, then the starship will launch.

I was going to wait until I got Zed onboard as crew, and Sophia's combat out of the way, but I'm willing to allow mini-threads for what folks want to do at that period now.

Abyss, will be on the chat to run our combat thread tomorrow, if your also on.

Information Update: The Voidswimmer, Indomitable class Frigate, it's been modified some from the below.

INDOMITABLE-CLASS FRIGATE

(RESOURCES •••••)

Though recent, and not as widespread or cheap as older models, the Indomitable-class frigate has seen an explosion in popularity. While it is not entirely dissimilar to other popular frigates, and it bears little resemblance to the imposing angular juggernauts of the Central Empires core navy, the trademark golden swash along its prow marks the Indomitable frigate as the largest, most successful ship produced by Denandsor Industries. It is relatively cheap, as capital war ships go, despite its size and armament, and it manages to remain imposingly aerodynamic (not that it is capable of atmospheric flight). At over 100 yards in length, it features few protrusions, affording little cover to star fighters and bombers that penetrate its point defenses and escort fighters. It is highly maneuverable, and with its rounded design it is not difficult to train nearly half of its weapons on any given target.

Repair: 4

Speed: 35/70 (Acceleration)

Maneuverability:-2S (Bureaucracy 2, Lore 3, Sail 3)

Endurance: Built for extended patrol and siege, Indomitable frigates have powerful reactors and battery housings half again as large as those of similar ships. Even with frequent and long battles, they can go for years before their power systems must be refitted. They require regular ship-wide maintenance, however, from dedicated engineering crews numbering in the dozens. Without an engineering crew, the ship will quickly fall out of order and cease operations over the course of a month, though some derelicts are rumored to house refugees who rely on the enduring life support system and their own hydroponics.

Crew: 70/15 (Unlike smaller vessels, operations on Indomitable frigates only suffer a -1 Maneuverability penalty for every 10 crew that it lacks.) [the crew (not PC's) are 70, 30 of them are genetically modified humans]

Cargo: Indomitable frigates have space for hundreds of tons of cargo, which may be taken up by extra ground troops or vehicles. They have enough space to house four star fighters, if they carry little else [NOTE: The Voidswimmer has at least one of these locations set to construction and repair] In addition to this vast space, they have quarters for up to 30 passengers, and a spare barracks that can house 125 soldiers. [At present, the Barracks and Passenger quarters are empty]

Armor: 14L/20B

Health Levels: Ux15/Mx10/Cx5/Ix10/D

Weapons: Weapons pods mark the four corners of the frigate, with three more along each side and the dorsal and ventral hulls. Each pod is outfitted with a pair of heavy vehicular blasters (as blaster rifle, with Damage 12L, Range 200, Ammo unlimited). The six foremost pods are also outfitted with mass drivers (as sniper rifle, with Damage 15L, Range 600, Ammo 300).

Other Notes: Indomitable frigates are outfitted with standard anima circuits throughout vital areas, though to cut costs crew quarters and other non-key interiors are not so protected. The command bridge is protected with a shield overcharger circuit tied to the commander’s anima, providing

20L/20B hardness when active.

If it's not immediately apparent, I've set up the Chilling Like a Villain thread as a sort of Conversation / Taking Requests thread to help get the characters acquainted with each other and also to start the timer on items that the characters are looking to have made for them.
