Gislef
First-time poster, hopefully someone can help us with this. Apologies if it's... somewhere in the published material, but we couldn't find it. How do you resolve quick one-off Mega-Social conflicts? Basically, convincing someone to do something? Page 155 of the book, Competing Mega Attributes. Mega-Attributes beat non-mega-attributes automatically. If both people competing have Mega Attributes, roll the mega attributes. So... I've got Mega-Manipulator 5 against a normal baseline. What does MM5 roll? Does he need to roll anything? Or MM5 vs. a Mega... something 3. Do they roll? What Mega-Attribute resists? It seems like the basic "I convince you to do this" stuff is against Willpower. But there is no Mega-Willpower. So how do you determine when mega-attributes trump an opponent and win automatically? What do they have to have mega-wise to make it a contest? We just want a quick, simple resolution system. Rather than the more complicated Forceful Personality "combat system." Thanks! Iron Rose
can use intelligence or wits Intelligence has discerning mind, which lets you tell when things are being used. Int + M-int + wp/2 gives you the max of 15 dice that a q5 nova has to resist...
Gislef
Thanks. Although the rules seem to suggest that Manipulation is used to resist persuasive stuff, since Mega-Manipulation gives you a bonus against it.
