The character interactions are wonderful, the science is far-fetched, but made at least 'believable', and instead of being more 'episodic' and lacking an overall plot like X-Files (its often compared to predecessor) as the show progressed, it became more and more in-depth to a singular plot and less 'crime of the week'.Not to say that there isn't filler shows, but they are not the bread and butter of the show.And before I get any angry PM's, yes I know X-files had a plot, I watched it, but it was more conspiracy theory cloak and dagger crap that hardly ever made a true impact on the show except a few distinct occasions. It gets better as it goes, started off shaky as hell first season and last season was pretty solid, though I have no clue how they will dig out of the hole they are in after the season finale.
