I tried it when it first came out with a group of players here and I came away with the feeling that they had taken the 'magic' out of magic. They went so far toward balance that they lost the magic of the experience for me. On the other hand, I've been wishing for a good fantasy game recently, just wish I had a group here so we could play using the Pathfinder system.
