I really enjoyed the Dark Horse Comics' Conan series from 2004 to whenever. Well done. Thoughtful. Kurt Busiek (JLA/Avengers, Astro City) writes and dynamic artists Cary Nord, Thomas Yeates, and Dave Stewart bring the stories to life. Amazon has the first collection here And I like Howard's stories. Conan is more complex than a passing familiarity with the name and the Arnie movie might suggest.Arnie's movie was entertaining but not necessarily a great adaptation of the source material. The new movie ... I will see it. But will I enjoy it? No rating is given yet, but Conan needs to be R to do the material justice. Rose McGowan does play a witch in the film, which, if it does well, may see her Red Sonja film go back into production.
